Drashi's concerned look only florished further at Connor's responce... something was wrong, he could feel it like a warning system coursing through his blood. And the way that Connor was leaning back gave him the distinct impression that his very skin felt on fire, like his shirt was too small and annoying for him....
In that moment a memory surfaced, the first time his wings had formed, the first time his mark had appeared..... without thinking about it he ripped Connors shirt in two and pulled it from him. "Sorry..." He grumbled, "I'll get you a new one." He said as he forced Connor to lean forward so he could see his back.
It didn't take a genius to see what was wrong.... something was swelling in two lumps on the boys back. "s**t." He mumbled, not sure what to do now.... what could he do?

Connor licked his lips trying to take care of the parched feeling he felt. He looked to Drashi as the man seemed to puzzle over what he was going on. The sudden ripping of clothing surprised him but cool air touched his skin felt better. Struggling a bit as Drashi felt him to lean forward he whimpered. "How did you know what was going on?" he questioned when the other cursed.
"What is happening?" he questioned his breathing harsh. He felt fear since Drashi had reacted harshly. "Is there something bad going to happen?"

"I can't be sure..." Drashi said, being honest as always, "...but I think you are going through something similar to what I did...." He hesitated, not wanting to scare the lad. But then again, maybe the prospect of wings would help? Excite him rather than scare him? Perhaps if someone had told Drashi what was happening in those fateful hours that everything changed he wouldn't have been scared, or felt so alone in the world. That made up his mind and without further hesitation he spoke, "When my wings came through, I felt sick, overly hot, as if something was trying to litterally rip through my skin...." There had actually been a lot of blood, but Drashi didn't mention that... it may be different for the Incubi after all, he still didn't know that much about them, not really.
Carefully Drashi slipped out from under Connor and placed him on his side on the bed. "Stay here... I will be right back."
Drashi dashed to the bathroom, snatched one of his towels and soaked it in cold water before ringing it out so it didn't drip and rushing back towards Connor.

Confusion flooded Connor when Drashi said he might be going through something similar to what Drashi had gone through. They were different races so how could that happen. "Wings...I'm getting wings?" Connor questioned surprised. It excited him that he might be able to fly and have wings and yet it scared him. The way he felt whatever it was pressed against his skin which meant it would have to come through that skin. He couldn't imagine it would feel good either.
Watching Drashi move away Connor moved to lay back down on the bed this time on his stomach not chancing laying on his back. Seeing the other come back he watched him. "It feels tight..." he complained softly.

"I know." He said softly, coming to Connor's side as he gentle placed the towel on Connor's back. He suspected most would have gone for Connor's head, but if Drashi remembered correctly it was his back that had felt on fire, had felt almost alive... maybe if he could just cool it down.... maybe he could help? Outside of this Drashi was sure there was nothing he could do other than offer support. What was going to happen would happen either way....
His blue eyes turned to Connor's green ones, he smiled softly, trying to act cool, calm and in control even as his mind rebelled all those concepts. "How does that feel? Any better?" If it was worst Drashi was prepared to drag the towel a way in one clean movement...
Something inside Drashi was twisting as if he too was in pain... if only he could go through this for Connor, at least he knew what to expect, had lived through it once already.... but life didn't work that way.

Connor couldn't help but breath a sigh of relief as the cool towel was set on his back. It soothed some of the heat despite the annoying pressure that came with it. Connor's hands were clenched in the sheets below him trying to fight away the pain he felt in his back. "It feels cooler." Connor answered giving a grateful smile despite the pain.
"You said this happened to you?" Connor questioned. "What happened exactly? Its going to hurt right? If it really is wings? They'll come right through my skin." he spoke softly bits of fear coming out.

Drashi didn't know how to reply to the question, he didn't want to le but at the same time he wasn't sure. "I have heard that for some there s just a great heat and pan as the mark that will become wings when summons appears... with others, myself included, I had to...." He frowned for a moment not sure how else to say it without being abrupt, defeated he said; "...endure as they tore through my skin for the first time. Then after they were released I lay on the ground for hours shivering..." covered in blood and panic coursing through me. he added in his mind, "...until they finally disappeared leaving behind my mark. When the mark appeared the skin heal..." He imagined that was due to the intense heat, "...as if nothing had happened." He smiled shyly down at Connor, not wanting him to fear it. Drash had been alone, but he wouldn't leave Connor alone. "I will stay though. If you want me to."

Connor listened intently wanting to know what he was in for with his back aching and paining him like it was. He listened as the other said it could just be what he was going through or that it could become more painful. When Drashi informed him that he had had to face the pain as his own wings tore through his skin Connor felt bad. He reached a hand out and touch Drashi's trying to offer some comfort. "It doesn't sound like fun..." he said softly. "I think thats what is going to happen to me though." Connor said taking a deep breath which he released in a shudder.
"Yes please stay with me, I don't want to be by myself. I should probably move to my bed though so I don't get anything on your bed." Connor suggested.

Drashi smiled down at Connor but could see the soft squirm of discomfort at the towel.... he knew the shirt had been annoying him, so it was only reasonable to assume the towel was too even as it helped to cool the area. Not wanting to do more harm than good Drashi pulled the towel off softly, dabbing the lads shoulder blades. "Talk to me..." He found himself saying, predicting that distraction may help.... at least until the end. Not having anything else to do; he sat on the best next to Connor and took one of his hands into his own, stroking his leg softly with his other hand. Drashi knew it would get worst.... and he really hoped he was wrong, even as certainty settled in. Alikia Tsuki Sorry hun, my son has been really ill.

Connor looked up as he felt the towel leave his back. While the towel had been irritating it had been cooling. The boy bit back a hiss of pain as Drashi dabbed at his shoulder blades. He knew the other was trying to help and he was but it was still painful.
"About what?" Connor questioned shifting. He felt like he needed to move to his own bed. He didn't want to get blood over the others. Sitting up caused pain to course down his spine though when his shoulder blades shifted.

Drashi let out a growl as Connor tried to move, it was more out of defence for Connor than from anger. Putting his hand on the back of Connors head, since he didn't want to harm his back more, he pushed him back to the bed. "Stay still." He stared down at him, showing through his eyes and expression that he would not accept an argument in this. It did occur to him that Connor was simply worried about his bed getting dirty... he had suggested moving before, but Drashi had ignored it knowing that it would likely be impossible just as it mattered not to Drashi. In an effort to put him at ease he said, "Don't worry about my bed. It will clean." If Drashi's suspicions were correct this school would be prepared for this... this was likely not the first or last time it would happen. He turned to the door for a moment, why had the gathered all the 'others' like this? Most didn't even seem to know what they were.... was that why? He frowned, shifting his attention back towards Connor.
"I don't know..." He said, trying to smile as he thought of something that may help distract Connor. "Tell me about yourself?" He didn't want to pry, believing that everyone had secrets, everyone had something they didn't want to talk about.... himself included... and because of this people would tell you things when they were ready.

Connor looked to Drashi as he heard the growl escape the other's lips. He complied with the hand on the back of his head pushing him back to laying down. He lay back down soothed by the other's words about not worrying about the bed. With a nod he remained on the bed his head turned to the side as he tried not to move and irritate his back more however the pain just seemed to grow.
"Okay..." Connor spoke. "I came to the college to get away from my family. I don't know what I want to do yet but I had to get away. I felt suffocated there, they hate me." Connor spoke. He hated his parents, hated the way they had tossed him away and yet he liked that they had because he had had his uncle.

Sadness filled Drashi's eyes. "They just don'y understand." Or that was what Drashi thought, especially since no one had taught Connor about what he was, about what would happen.... and part of him was jealous that Connor still had his parents, even if they did 'hate him'.
He smiled softly, trying to keep the tone light and airy as to distract rather than anger. "I bet you still have a happy memory or two? What is the happiest memory you have?" He was curious about Connor, though he couldn't explain why....

"I don't know...I don't think they know about me, or what I am. Even if they did though I don't think it would change their opinion of me." Connor spoke. "My happiest memory?" he questioned surprised. "Its not of them. My happiest memory is spending time at the fair with my uncle. It was the only time I got to go to the fair." Connor spoke.
He thought for a moment before giving a gasp of pain, his back arching a bit. "It hurts..." he panted. It felt like his back was ready to burst and it looked it as his shoulder seemed inflamed and red.
