Freakshow lays sprawled out on the mat after connecting with the nasty Texas Piledriver. For a few moments he stays this way, concentrating on getting his energy back. He turns over on his side, then starts pulling himself towards the challenger.. Unable to make a proper pin, he'd simply throw his arm over the shoulders of Landry.

Landry was just about out of it. He was on his back, his eyes staring up at the lights with a blank expression. No one could tell if he knew where he was when the Champion put his arm over his chest and the referee began to count.
"1...2..." NO! Landry, perhaps by instinct alone, was able to throw and arm up to save the match.

Landry throws the shoulder up! Freakshow rolls up off of The Innovator in shock! Freak clutches at his plantinum hair, he sits up and places a fist to the ground, wondering what it would take to put this man away. He was starting to get a second wind, all he needed to do was keep his cool. He finds his way to a knee and scoots back, out of Landry's line of sight, where he would wait for him to get up.. Measuring him up for something.

Landry was still dazed and confused, and he was shakey and slow to get back to his feet. He had been in this position before, and he purposely took his time to give himself the maximum chance of regaining his senses in time.

Freakshow stays behind the hurt challenger. He crouches, holding his arms out, licking his chops. The moment Landry got up to his feet, before he could even get himself upright, Freak would try to Pearl Harbor him with the Asiatic Spike! A submission made famous by one of his childhood idols and one of the Freebirds, Terry Gordy. It involved Freak, as if going for a sleeper, wrapping his arm around the neck of the opponent, and then pressing his thumb into the carotid artery of his opponent. Reducing the blood supply to the brain, if successful.

Landry wasn't expecting this, and it costed him. He was only to his knees when he was slapped into the Asiatic Spike, causing extreme discomfort to his neck, as well as cutting off blood flow to his brain. Landry didn't have much time, but he also didn't have a ton of energy left...

The oriental thumb hold is applied! "Gaaaaaah!" Freakshow cries out as he digs his thumb into the side of his opponents neck.. Landry sinks down to his knees, allowing Freak a bit more weight to throw around, he leans over to maintain pressure. With the life starting to drain out of Landry, Freakshow keeps the hold on tight, wanting to get his opponent to stop struggling, wherein the ref would have to check his opponent for consciousness.
As this is happening, the crowd begins to make some noise, trying to rouse Landry back into the living world.

Landry was essentially just sitting there, prompting the referee to check him to see if he was still awake.
He raised his arm once...and it dropped.
He raised it once again...and then too, it dropped.
The referee took a deep breath, along with the audience, as he raised Landry's arm one more time...and when he released, Landry kept it up! The audience roared with approval, and that was all Landry needed. He pushed up with his legs under him, fighting with all his strength to get back to a vertical base, where he would try and nail Freakshow with some elbows, and if successful, he'd attempt to snapmare Freak over his shoulder.

"Yes!" Freak shouts as Landry's hand drops for the first time, "YES!" He yells even louder as the arm goes down for the second time. He was only moments away from winning, he could feel it. The ref lifts his arm for the third and last time, then lets it fall.
"..Huh?!"
The sound was deafening as Mike saved the match for himself! The opponent gets both legs under him and begins willing his way back up! Himself and Landry find themselves on there feet, equal ground. Freak tries to jump up on his opponents back to get better positioning, but is nailed with an elbow. This causes him to relent on his hold long enough for to fall victim to a snapmare! He's flipped right over onto his tailbone. Desperate not to let the advantage fall into the oppositions hands, should Landry not follow up on the snapmare, Freak would begin scrambling wildly up to his feet.

Landry, still behind Freakshow, would try to hook Freak's arms once again and lift him up to attempt the Landslide Slam one more time.

Freakshow gets up, he staggers backwards in a daze, wondering where Landry was. He would soon get his answer. Freaks hooked in the double chickenwing, and this time successfully hoisted up for the Landslam! The fans rise to there feet! Down to the mat the champion lands with a loud thud. It was like bellyflopping into a pool with no water. Face down he lays, no movement. Now all that needed to happen was a pin attempt!

Landry would try to shoot the half and force Freakshow to roll over like a bad engine, hook the leg and hope he had done enough!

It takes a moment to roll the uncooperative, dead weight of Freaks body over, but Landry eventually fights his way into the pin, hooking the leg. The ref drops down to administer the fall. Audience members count along!
ONE!
TWO!!
THREE- NO~! KICKOUT!
Probably on reflex Freakshow twitches into some kind of kickout/shoulder up combination at the last second! He was still in this, but after receiving the Landslam, how long did he really have?

Landry sat up as the audience let out a collective breath in dissapointment. He ran his hands through his hair, knowing he was just a hair's width away from walking away WWF Champion. He really thought the Landslide Slam had put him away, but it seemed he had one more move to throw down.
Landry stood up, running his thumb across his chest, signalling he was setting up for his old Heartbreaker finisher, knowing it would be more effective than the American Neck-Tie given the strain he had put on Freak's midsection.

Freakshow lays, face buried in the mat. While he'd kicked out, it didn't look like it, the man wasn't making a move. About four or five seconds after Landry'd gotten up, Freak stirred. He presses his hands against the ground and slowly starts pushing himself up. He gets his knees under him, then props a foot on. Dizzy from the whiplash for the Landslide, we rocks back and forth for a few seconds, unable to get his balance.
Finally he pushes himself up to his feet. He leans over, fingers pressed against the ground, before righting himself. Knees wobbling, eyes distant, the last thing on his mind was Landry infront of him.
