❀Sophia Pendragon☠
Sophie had gotten so wrapped up in her brewing that she did not take noticed to the sound of the horse outside. It wasn't until the furious rapping at her door accompanied by yelling did she realize she had visitors. She swiftly set down the ingredients she was holding and moved to the door pulling it open to be met with a pair. Her emerald eyes caught the sunlight causing them to sparkle as her snake-like pupils darted up and down Godelieve before settling on Lorne. She focused on the wound to his left shoulder. "Bring him quickly." Sophie stated with a wave before turning and walking back into her home. The main room was quite spacious. There was a small fireplace on the opposite wall, Most of the other walls had cabinets or shelves filled with various books and ingredients. The table was pushed off to one side and a large pile of furs were collected in one corner near a draped door frame that led to her bedroom. Sophie moved over to the furs grabbing a large one and spreading it out across the floor. It was obviously from a quite large animal possibly a bear. "Lay him down on here." She instructed her body nimbly going back to the table and clearing off a small work space. "Do I need to worry that you were followed by whomever did this?" She asked pulling some basic ingredients toward her before looking up toward the two once more.

Lornes eyes were unfocused and the world was spinning, but he could make out what was being asked. "Dead...I...illed..'im...." He mumbled out, jerking his hand up he pointed towards his shoulder. "Po...son....bar...." he mumbled trying to tell the witch that the poison barbs were still embedded in his shoulder, the tips, barely peeking out.

Slaine closed his eyes in his own anguish, wishing he had been the one to do the rounds today. He could have handled himself against... against... What had happened? "Will telling me what happened make you feel better, Fae?" He said, rubbing her back. He only hoped no patients came in while he was consoling his sister. Then again, maybe that would be just the thing to snap her out of it.
Oralee narrowed her eyes at him, slowly lowering her bow. She was not in the habit of drawing weapons at complete strangers without threat- she was also not in the habit of walking around so exposed and wounded, though. Keeping her hands on the arrow and bow, Oralee lifted her chin stubbornly, and straightened her back even though it pained her ribs. "I've been hurt before, I'll survive." Unless I fall, pass out again, and can't get up. I'm such a target like this... Oralee began to realize that she hadn't been in the right frame of mind when she left the clinic, still acting on the adreniline and shock from her injuries. At his last question, and he insistance, Oralee narrowed her eyes again. Duty of a soldier? As if. "Why would you do that?" She said bluntly, staring up at him with her wide eyes.

"Why would I do what? Help you?" He said a little surprised at her stubbornness despite being injured. "I want to help you because it is the right thing to do." He said placing his hand on his hips, waiting for an answer. "I live my life by chivalry and I am trying to spare you getting further injured. Surely you wish to recover as soon as possible. Straining yourself will only make the recovery time that much longer." He said raising an eyebrow, "Now tell me, what is it you are trying to do."

Oralee lifted her chin again, but as he spoke, her hands loosened their grip on her bow. Only slightly, but loosened. "Chivalry is a dying art." It was subtle, as far as declarations of disbelief went, but Oralee said it. Se had thought the last true gentlemen had died out with her grandfather- Nyer had don't a great imitation of it, but his chivalry was only to those he knew and trusted. Staring into his eyes with er own, Oralee tried to come to a decision. Trusting was a dangerous art, but without a few trusted friends, an assassin would get no where. All of Nyer's had been dying outs but Oralee had yer to build her own, beyond her seamstress. "I'm retrieving something of mine that was lost during a battle." Her trust was hesitant, and slight- but it was given. She slung her bow over her shoulder and returned the arrow to it's quiver.

Alexandre smiled to Oralee, "You have had some gajengi baxt." he said dropping to an old native language without thinking. "What was it you lost? If I going to look for it, I must know what I am looking for." He then held out his arm and a sparrowhawk swooped down and alighted in his arm. "Oh, I have been remiss. My name is Alexandre Kalderash. This is my friend Tale."

❀Sophia Pendragon☠
Sophie looked up from where she had begun gathering basic supplies together when Lorne responded. Her eyes looked up to focus in on him. She could see both the obvious and subtle signs his body was giving off that showed the poison was working its way deep into his system. Her movement was swift so that she was in front of Godelieve and Lorne once more. Her arm twisted between the pair and coiled around Lorne pulling him from the girl. Swiftly swinging him around she forced him onto the thick fur so that he was lying on his back. "Poison barbs." She repeated his slurred words as she grabbed a small bowl of water. Kneeling beside him she dipped her right hand into the bowl and slowly pulled it out. The liquid was wrapped around her hand forming a sort of bubble which she pressed onto the wound. Her eyes closed as she concentrated. Most doctors would have to cut away the flesh to get the barbs out completely her method was a bit better for extraction. The water worked itself around the barbs coating them with a layer of liquid that pulled them from the body. It was like microscopic tweezers that allowed removal without cutting. Slowly the snake witch lifter her hand the sphere of water still surrounding it only now the barbs floated harmlessly inside. Sophie dropped the water and barb mixture back into the bowl as she leaned down. It was then that she did something that would surprise most. Her face was centimeters from the wound when she opened her mouth revealing fangs and a forked tongue. Like that of a snakes her tongue darted outward and licked the blood from the wound. She voluntarily consumed the poison ridden blood a few times before sitting up.
"Someone really wanted you dead....but it isn't anything I can't cure." She stated with a small smirk before standing and moving back to the table. She spooned a fresh bowl of water into a new bowl and began to make an antidote. Her hands nimbly glided over the table grabbing a jar to add something to the mixture. Anyone watching would have trouble making sense of how the ingredients made sense with one another but for someone as trained as herself it was an art. Crushing a handful of a grey berry in her hand she dropped them into the antidote. "Almost ready." Sophie offered as if to try and reassure them. She wave her hand over the bowl in a circular motion causing the mixture to begin to spin and blend together.

Oralee frowned when he smiled, but let it fade quickly. At the unfamiliar words, Oralee was confused, but hesitated from asking. Asking a question of him would no doubt invite questions of his own. "I don't need help looking, I know exactly where it is." She refrained from telling him that what she had gone out looking for were custom made skirts. She'd begun to turn back to the path when Tale swooped down. She watched the mighty bird with some respect, before looking at Alexandre as he introduced himself. For a split, overpowering moment, Oralee had the urge to tell him her real name- an urge she had not felt since staring into Nyer's deep red eyes for the first time. I can trust him. The knowledge came abruptly and surely, and Oralee knew it wasn't just her instincts, her divination magic had figured out the kind of person he was. "Nice to meet you, I'm Oralee." Turning, she walked towards the place she had been thrown from the horse.

((I'm so sorry I've been gone for a bit. I had a lot of things to do))
Faelynn began taking deep breaths, trying to calm herself enough to talk. When she did so, so rubbed her eyes trying to wipe any and all tears away. "There were bandits or thieves," She started to tear up again and caught her breath once more. "And I guess they were after me." Faelynn started to fidget with her fingers. "Then the donation lady was standing, then disappeared and then the bandits were dead." She looked up into Slaine's eyes, her own tearing up. "Then she collapsed and I asked the horse if the lady was it's owner and it told me it was and -" She blinked, the sad look now turned into confusion. "Animals can't talk. . . So why did the horse talk?" She looked to Slaine desperately. "How could I hear the horse talk Slaine?"
Godelieve watched as the snake witch did what she was good at. She still felt worried and panicked and instead of standing, she sat on her knees. She was amazed watching the snake witch use the water to take the barbs out, and figured that elemental magic had to come into play there. I should probably learn how to do something like that. Godelieve was silent, not making a sound at all. She wasn't exactly good around people she didn't know. When Sophie revealed her fangs and tongue, Godelieve couldn't seem to grasp it all too much. Godelieve's eyes began to stay on Lorne, watching him and praying for his health to come back. She didn't pray often, but it was something Papi had taught her to do and she continued to do it to keep that part of him alive. She heard Sophie say almost ready and she spoke out after it. "Thank you." She couldn't recognize it as her voice, which was now small and solemn. It reflected her mood in a sense. She felt like she couldn't do anything to help - which was a fact in this instance - and then she was sad, scared, yet serious all at the same time.

"Well, Miss Oralee, I would still like to accompany you. For safetys sake." he said following after her. "If you start to feel faint, or the pain begins to be too much, tell me. I shall gladly return you to the clinic." he said looking around the area, "I don't believe you told me what you are looking for? No matter what it is, I have probably received stranger jobs." He smirked, "I once had an old woman, hire me to search her house for her glasses. They were on her head."

Slaine just stared at his sister, trying to make sense of it. There were probably magical styles that allowed people to speak with animals , but not only did Faelynn lack the training, she didn't have magical potential. Master Rafiki had checked. His mind turned to the elf that had saved his sis- It suddenly made sense. "It might have been Elven magic... They have the ability to speak to he plants and animals, and since it'd more of a spiritual connection to nature than a literal magic, mages can't sense it.," He thought of his sister, always playing in the mud, climbing trees, planting flowers. "Some humans who are close to nature experience this connection... Like you."
Inwardly, Oralee rolled her eyes at his declaration to stay with her for safety. Oralee shook her head at his next statement. 'Pain has never stopped me when I have a goal." It was true enough. She'd been stabbed, shot with arrows, burnt, fried, and a whole assortment of other things. If had never gotten in the way. Again, Oralee hesitated to tell him she was looking for her skirts, when he said that about the old lady. Unbidden, a smile came to her lips, and a soft chuckle rolled out of then, a tinkling, sweet sound on the slight breeze.

Alexndre looked around for anything that seemed out of place. Her laugh, though made him smile, "Oh, thats not even the most interesting. I was also hired to search several abadoned buildings searching for a mans lost cat." He smiled at the memory. "The cat was later found sleeping in his sock drawer."

Oralee smiled softly at his second tale, glancing over at him. "Did you find him there, or did the old man?" Before she could get an answer though, Oralee saw something flicker out of the corner of her eyes. Whirling around, Oralee drew an arrow and aimed it at the shifting shadows. "Step out onto the path." Her voice was firm, leaving no room fr argument. However, it was curiosity that drew the three bandits to step into view. They unabashedly stared at Oralee, and one of them even had the nerve to whistle. On the bandit standing to the far right was Oralee's skirts, draped over his shoulder. "My skirts!" Narrowing her eyes, Oralee aimed the bow ns arrow at him. "Return them now, and I wont shoot." As she expected, they just laughed. A quid swing of the bow, and a loosening of her fingers, had an arrow slice through the cheek of the bandit to the far left. As he cursed, she drew another arrow, again aiming it at the bandit with her skirts. Despite her slaughter of the three bandits earlier, Oralee didn't want needless death. "Return them, now. Or do you want to risk being like the three corpses you found those skirts by?"

❀Sophia Pendragon☠
Sophie nodded when the girl thanked her but kept her eyes focused on the mixture. It was a subtle change the only an experienced potion maker would notice. She brought her hand to a halt motion causing all movement in the water to cease. Sparing a glance at Lorne she knew there was no way he could drink it and justly so the poison had gone so far the antidote was needed in his system quickly. It was obvious what she had to do. Slowly she gripped the bowl in her hands and brought it up to her lips. Taking a large gulp of the elixir she placed the bowl back on the table and walked over to kneel beside him once more. Sophie leaned down using a hand to steady herself and the other to pull his shirt away from his good shoulder. Parting her lips once more her fangs glinted in the light of the fire. In one swift motion she sank the pointed teeth into the man's shoulder. However instead of injecting a venom the antidote she had just consumed was forced directly into his bloodstream. She waited a few moment to make sure he got enough before letting go and standing. Two puncture wounds were clearly on his shoulder but only a small amount of blood dripped from them.
"The antidote is in the bloodstream. It will neutralize the poison." She explained as she walked over to one of the cupboards and produced two small tea cups which she spooned some of the clean hot water into. Pouring a small bit of a light yellow powder into both she walked over to Godelieve the tea spinning on Sophie's will to mix the drinks. "Here. It's a fruity tea I make. I find the it helps to calm oneself." She offered with a smile placing the cup in front of the elf before sitting down herself.

"I discovered the cat. So did get paid for my time." he smiled to Oralee. When she spun and drew an arrow her immediately had his crossbow raised. "I do suggest you do what the lady says. I can shoot all 3 of you down in an instant." Alexandre said calmly. "Now give the lady back her skirts." He held the crossbow in his left hand and was reaching up the grip his massive sword with his right hand. "You're choice." he finished locking eyes with the bandit holding her skirts. Alexandre made a note to speak with Oralee about that later.
