[!] [School PRP] Quest for Clothing! (AMDRY)

Yin started when Alexander yelled at him, casting his once-friend a surprised look. Maybe he still had a chance if the boil thought that he could actually do some good. He looked back at the enemy, who had taken on the form of the reaper. He did not really know the reaper. He was in the reaper boil's clothes, and the pants were rubbing him the wrong way no matter how he moved, but other than that all he knew was that the boil was brazen and trying to take Miss Danny from her purple-haired chosen.

So he did not have to worry about holding back, no matter which one he hit.

Determined, he moved forward. So, his punches were not working. He could work around that. He moved toward the form near a window, thinking that he had seen a rather peculiar flash of blue. When he was close enough he suddenly pivoted, kicking out. He was forced to kick it in the stomach, as the jeans were not as loose as his normal pants, but he landed a harsh blow. He actually grinned as his foot connected when solid ice, though his sharpened teeth made the expression more frightening than exciting.

She was about to go chase the thing down when its twitching, wobbling form changed into that of her boilfriend. Oh Jack. Ohhhh Jack. She looked over to the one she thought was the real one, and then back at the one she thought was the mimic. What the hell was the difference?

Yin seemed to have his mind made up, as he darted forward without hesitation to beat up one of the Rikkis, but Danny ... Danny wasn't so sure.

So instead, she bit her lip like a loser and stood there looking back and forth between the two trying to figure it out. She looked rather comical actually.

The ice mimic folded over the mantodea's powerful strikes, the guise of Nyrikki vanishing like smoke. "T-t-take me... me take me home," it gasped, in a voice like breaking glass. "M-m-merry Chr....chrichrichri...smastoall and.... to-to-to all a good... goo...g-g-g-g-goodnight...."

It lay there for moment, as if dead.

Then it flushed with color and became Mitzi one last time, dragging itself to its feet, listing crazily to one side. "T-th-th... it'll take you the long... l-l-l-long... long grey it'll t-t-t-take you," it babbled, tilting its head unnaturally, as if its neck were broken. "And y-y-y...y-you will beg, beg... beg... take me home."

Those last words were spoken clear as a bell; the mimic straightened and stood, a perfect double of Mitzi, as if it had pulled free its last reserves of strength. "Take me home," it said, sweetly, in Mitzi's voice.

Oh! Now it was back to the pink reaper ghoul! Danny still didn't want to hit her friends but ... well hitting a stranger was better than hitting her boilfriend, right? Was it wrong to think that way?

Besides, this was going to be easy. Thanks to Yin kicking some major a**, the mimic was totally falling apart. It was like a broken record, scratching and repeating all its phrases. Its walking was irregular, static, awkward. Soooo easy to tell her apart from the real Mitzi.

Suddenly all the glitches and errors were sucked straight back up into the mimic, and she was once again a perfect copy. What. WHAT.

WHAT WAS SHE SUPPOSED TO DO NOW.

Danny decided to just send a fireball flying at both of them. It was just too hard to pick anymore. It completely missed the Mitzi on the left, but the one on the right ...

Though the thing took the form of a ghoul Yin was too close to be fooled. He raised his fist, a faint look of disgust on his face (though at the creature or himself was unknown) and punched it in the face. It was time that he finished this.

"Ah-"

The ice mimic shattered, a spray of ice so fine that it filled the air like glitter. Where the being had stood was a pale wisp of fog, half of its insubstantial body faded into silver, one eye bright and blue. "At-t-t... last..." it breathed, holding its arms up in an almost welcoming gesture.

And then, in a gust of peppermint wind that tossed the glitter everywhere, it was gone, leaving the five students alone in the hallway with one broken window and no ice other than the snow outside.

... Oh, and all five of them were dusted with silver glitter. Such a beautiful sparkle.

Alex nodded in a approval when Yin not only hit the mimic the first time, glad that his friend was able to pull out of his funk and start dealing some damage himself. When Danny let her fireballs fly, however, Alex ducked and covered, worried that he was somehow going to be hit, and fell hard to the floor. Peeking out from between the arms covering his face he caught a glimpse of Yin punching the mimic in the face...

...And then it was all over! The Mimic had shattered into glitter that gusted around the room in a blast of disgusting smelling wind, covering Alex's half naked rotten self in it's sparkling shine.

Pushing himself up from the floor into a sitting position, he stared around the hallway with wide-eyes. Glitter, broken glass, scorch marks...the place was a mess!

"Um...that was weird?" He supplied to the now quiet troupe, while attempting to brush glitter off of his body, though doing so only seemed to make it stick all the worse. He glanced over towards Yin. He was feeling sorry for yelling at the boil earlier, and for getting mad at the weremantis for punching him in the arm earlier. Alex knew Yin hadn't hit him on purpose...

"Is everyone ok?" It was a silly question, but he felt he should ask anyways.

As Mitzi was trying to get close enough to the mimic to take another shot at it, a fireball came flying from the side and caught her shirt on fire. She yelped and frantically tried to put it out, and had just managed to do so when Yin hit the mimic again, causing it to shatter. At first she grinned, relieved that the thing was dead and slightly fascinated by the fine icy mist in the air. But as the glitter settled on her and she started trying to brush it off, to no avail, she scowled.

"There is such a thing as too much glitter. Does this happen all the time around here?" If it did, she could totally understand the others' response to her shirt earlier.

She sneezed a few times at the overpowering peppermint smell - was that back again? - and shook her head to clear it. "I... think I'm all right? Definitely was better before that thing appeared." She didn't particularly look all right, though, and she slid down the wall to sit on the floor and rest a bit.

Danny had been running over to Rikki's side when Yin finally smashed the thing to pieces. Hadn't he just been cowering in the corner over there? What had come over him? Oh well, didn't matter. As the peppermint wind hit her, she took a step back to defend her poor tail. Just because it was in a lantern didn't mean it wasn't at risk of being snuffed.

The came the glitter. Oh dear Jack the glitter. Let's just say Danny wasn't smiling.

Nonetheless, she let out a sigh of relief, but it was short lived. Seconds later she was already screaming, "EDEL WHERE ARE YOU? WHERE THE JACK ARE YOU, I KNOW THIS IS YOUR FAULT!!!" She wasn't really bright, was she.

And then, suddenly, a gnome ran by wide-eyed. "HeretakethesegottagoAAAAAAAH!" he shrieked, throwing candies at the students before exiting stage left, pursued by a Tangles-beast.

The sudden blast of peppermint wind made the mantodae feel a bit queasy, and cold. Always cold. He shivered, looking down and noticing the glitter.

The boil had never truly seen glitter until Mitzi, and had assumed it was part of the fabric. Now that it was on him he began to realize the horrors of it. It was everywhere. On his skin, on his clothes...everywhere. It was almost dazzling to his eyes, so he reached up to pull his goggles on, hoping that the slight tint that they had would help. Before he could put them into place he noticed the final insult. The glitter was in his goggles.

So that, combined with everything else, meant that his answer to Alexander's question was no, everyone was not okay.

Well, it would have been if he was willing to talk to the boil. Instead the shamed weremantis (destroying the mimic would surely not be sufficient for the ghouls and Alexander (who had seemed particularly angered) to forgive him) became very interested any anything but the others around him, including the gnome that ran by and threw some unidentified object at him. It looked bizarre, but seemed to be nutritional in some way. He eyed it hesitantly, stealing glances at the others to see what they would do with the small things flung at them.

The gnome actually shocked her out of her Edel rant. Danny looked surprised as he ran by with candy, but didn't think anything of it. Free candy man! What, it might be poison you say? But its candy.

The stupid ghoul popped it into her mouth and then noticed Yin in the corner. He didn't look so good. Danny walked over and patted the boil on the back. "It's okay buddy. It's all gone. Remember, you punched it? That like... just happened." She had a stupid grin on her face like nothing wrong had ever happened.

She eyed the candy in his hand. With big eyes. Really wide eyes. * Q *

Free candy was a staple in Halloween. It was like taking the peanuts at a bar. Maybe a little diseased, but part of the experience.

He popped a piece of candy in his mouth and masticated, peering around at the aftermath of the fight. Danny may blame it on Edel, but Rikki had his doubts. What he couldn't doubt was that there was something at fault here. And it had created a mess of the reaper dorms. A mess that Rikki would leave the gnomes to clean.

His eyes locked back onto Danny and Yin, and he frowned. He didn't like the way she soothed him or eyed him (candy or not, she WAS eyeing him). Done, just finished, with this entire situation, he stomped over and grabbed her by the waist. "Let's go in my dorm where it's a little safer, Danny."

"Oh. Um. Okay!" Danny said, chasing after him like a puppy. "Bye guys!" she said with a wave.

Threading her fingers through Rikki's, she followed him into the dorm.

Alexander was about to push himself to his feet when a gnome ran past and suddenly there was candy nestled in his lap. It wasn't until then that he realized how hungry he was! Quickly he popped the piece into his mouth and began to chew, crunching it between his teeth and swallowing it down. Instantly he began to feel better...but he was still hungry!

Was there anymore? He glanced to either side of himself, shifting broken glass with his hands and scouring the area. It seemed that it was all he was going to get.

Suddenly things started happening. Danny had gone over to Yin, and the Reaper boil was right there after her, grabbing her and talking about going back in the dorm. Shifting uncomfortably where he sat, he debated whether he should go over to the others to see what was up, or to stay in his place, safely away from the drama (and the fire, incidentally).

He opted for staying put, and silently reflected on the events that had just transpired. If anything, the sudden attack had made him more curious about what was going on in the school, but more importantly, he was completely famished.

"Ugggghhh, fooooood" He moaned quietly to himself, placing his hands on his gaunt belly. As soon as he did so, he saw that Danny and the Reaper were making there way back to the dorm room, leaving Alex, Yin, and Mitzi alone once again.

"Um...bye! Thanks for all the help!" he waved to them, eyebrows raised at there sudden departure. That had been a little weird...
