[/sigh] Not only do you pester Master Kakyou, but me as well? Fine, i'll play your game once more. Unlike my master, i was not raised in a rich family, nor was i treated as a trophy to be displayed to others. Both of my parents worked for the Yuna family, and they met and fell in love because of the work they did together. My mother was a maid and frequently helped the Lady Yuna when she required it, and my father worked outside with the animals; horses and dogs, mostly. Long and painful story short, they met, fell in love and with permission from the Yuna Family, they were wed. Not long after that did i come into the picture. I was raised on the Yuna estate, though i was not a part of the family, and that fact was most certainly made clear to me on many occasions. Not only wasn't i a part of the Yuna family, but i was useless because of my age. Unable to work, i was nothing but a bother, and got in the way on more than one occasion. So i spent almost five years outside with my father, helping him when i could, but mostly staying out of trouble. That is, until Kakyou Yuna turned a year old.
Now the Yuna family had a use for me. Their son needed a watcher, someone that could be around all the time. a playmate if you would, and i served my purpose. Master Kakyou was... isolated? No, that isn't the proper word... He was raised to be something that could act upon his fathers whim; a son that could stand straight and be awed upon by others, but nothing more. I could go into speculation here, but i won't. Suffice to say, when the Yuna's had a daughter, i had to share myself between the two of them, but my preference remained with Master Kakyou, and as she grew older, it seemed that Mistress Reiko's preferences were not with me. Considering what Mistress Reiko grew up to become, it's probably better that her dislike for me was intense, i doubt we could ever get along, anyway. It's a good thing that i never had the opportunity to be in the middle of two spoiled children fighting over their one personal servant. Aaah... I graduated from playmate to personal servant when Master Kakyou was old enough to start his schooling. I, of course, never went to actual school and was instead home schooled while Master Kakyou attended Private School and saw his tutors. To be honest, i would probably have preferred to go to school with him, but that was impossible considering the amount of money it would have cost my parents, and i doubt Master Kakyou's parents would have paid the expenses...
Hmm... while Master Kakyou attended school, i didn't do much while i was stuck at home. I learned with my tutors, my mother taught me a lot of things, but i spent a lot of time with my father outside, like when i was little. The Yuna family was rich, so you can imagine that they had an abundance of useless trinkets to display their wealth; Agility horses and hunting dogs were a few of these things, and like i said, my father cared for the animals with a few others. Helping to care for these animals turned into a hobby of mine - it was fun, and i actually really enjoyed the company of creatures that weren't human. A trait that i may have picked up from my master. When i wasn't at Master Kakyou's side, i was outside with the horses, or studying with my mother. Really, i wished on more than one occasion that i had been permitted to enrol in any of Kakyou's schools, just so that i could make sure he was alright. I'd been around him for most of his life, and i knew him best, and i could just imagine the trouble that school would give him.It was especially troublesome to listen to Master Yuna take out his anger on Kakyou when his grades slipped...
Aah... this is supposed to be about me, i apologize. What else... When Master Kakyou returned from his schooling, things went back to what they used to be; the aster spent most of his time in the library reading. He did, however, renounce his title as Heir which was a surprise to even me, and i'm the one who knows him best. We stayed in this limbo for quite a while, until... I suppose Kakyou got irritated enough by his parents and decided to leave. I picked a newspaper for him, and he chose randomly, and to Raynebow Valley he went (without me). Why would he leave home without me? I'm not sure. It was... not something that i enjoyed. At all. Try spending your entire life in servitude to one man, and then have that leave you behind. This was different that the times when Kakyou had left for school, because this time i didn't know if he would be returning. I went back to work by my father's side, taking up most of the work as my Father was getting older. I spent a lot of time outside, working with the horses, more time than i did inside; its amusing to think that without Kakyou around i had no reason to roam the manor, and since mistress Reiko was still around, avoiding her was something i tried very hard to do, but have you met the woman? I doubt anyone but her father could love that witch.
Anyway. I know i make it sounds horrible, and looking back on those six months or so i may have overreacted a little bit. I was young though, and change isn't something i have to deal with every day. Eventually, Master Kakyou returned, and ordered me to follow him to this new place, and i had no qualms with leaving the Yuna manor behind. Raynebow Valley was a different place, and it was without Mistress Reiko... for a time anyways. Master Kakyou owns the library, and so that is where i work as well as the duties i have as Master Kakyou's butler and aid. Nothing else to say about it, aside from the fact that we're been in Raynebow Valley for about 5 years now. Ah... there's a maid around here as well. Yes, i'm aware that we've gone through twenty eight maids since moving here, quite aware actually, but one can never be too careful.
Now then. Why don't you run off and bother Reiko Yuna? She'll have a story for you to hear, i'm sure.

How else would you think to describe me? Im quite loyal and intuitive, and i'm known to speak my mind when it is required. I'm honest, but i can lie when i need to, and... Well, i suppose i can seem a little stand-offish, but thats the way i was brought up. Kindness is something that you must earn, so don't expect much from me at the beginning of our interaction. [/sigh] Is this really necessary? I really do have work that i could be doing...
