I know exactly what you mean and I post from my smart phone on a daily basses. Otherwise there's just no chance for me to post while I'm on the computer.

Happy Easter!

I think the main problem is that typing on a computer I have around a 60 WPM typing speed. On my phone I have a typing speed of maybe 15 WPM on a good day. (I never was that fond of texting and didn't do it enough to be good at it... and smartphones are essentially the same keyboard concept). It just annoys me that I can have a decent speed on one mode and the other I just am pathetically slow at.

What annoys me about mobile posting is not the typing but I've had a few moments where I have most of the post done and want to finish it up later. Then the next moment I have to finish the post it refreshes it removing what I had typed up initially and so I have to start over.

In turn, that's why you see me not do a complete post and mark it (EDITING). Just so that it doesn't delete what I've already worked on.

Good luck. I'm at the point where I'm thinking I'd sell my soul to get a decent job and/or something that pays what I consider a 'living wage' especially for someone who did graduate university (all I'm asking is like $2 an hour over minimum wage at least). I have an interview on Wednesday though. And there are two job fairs this week I guess I'm going to end up going to...

I know a lot of southern states know about a certain bug many Southerners call "palmetto bugs"... I am pretty much fearless besides these flying monster things that are like the size of a small tarantula. My first job (which was down in Florida) I was always put on reptile duty to catch and release any reptiles that got into the smoothie shop I worked. I would have been put on spider duty as well if it wasn't for the fact I preferred to just catch them and take them into the parking lot to run free (the others rather all "bugs" be killed, so I was not allowed to deal with spiders). I am pretty cool about most insects, spiders, etc. as long as they aren't poisonous. I am pretty much afraid of three things (in no particular order): wasps, birds, and palmetto bugs.

I found a palmetto bug. In my bed. On my bare thigh. ALIVE. moving. found it with my bare hand. At 4:03 a.m. It was horrible... anyways I thought I would complain, and figured someone from a Southern state may understand the issue. I know when I lived in Ohio no one believed me and/or knew about these things.

A picture of a Palmetto bug with a nice size comparison.

On the bright side I am like a hoop and a half from securing solid employment. Hope your job search is going well.

I sure am glad none of that s**t lives anywhere near my place in Holland. Can't say I really fear critters like that either.

It isn't that I exactly fear palmetto bugs but I don't want to have one on me while sleeping. And, I have had bad experiences with wasps (I have been stung on the ear drum when I was little and on the eyelid back in high school) and birds attack me on a regular basis for no reason so I tend to avoid them like the plague... palmetto bugs are just gross and since I'm generally a pacifist and hate killing things it is even worse for me because when you do kill them it makes a sickening crunch and I feel horrible for at least 40 hours about murdering a creature in cold blood that did nothing really besides try to eat my food (and usually not my good expensive food, anyways) and breeding at an alarming rate and probably outliving me if a nuclear explosion or war ever occurs in my town.

You had one on your thigh oi confused
I know exactly what you're talking about those things are nasty and big. I think roaches are worse though.

We had to get a wasp next exterminated that was hanging on our front door x.x

Actually I was wearing a skirt to bed so it went up my thigh and was still traveling before I felt it with my hand and jumped out of bed and swept it off me. I made my Mom kill it. Dad always made her kill spiders for him after all back when they were married, so I figured she could handle it. (The sad thing is not only was my Mom an ex-Marine, but so is my Dad... my Dad just hates spiders, apparently. When it was just Dad and me he made me kill spiders in exchange he dealt with wasps, etc. and we both would sic the cats on the mice).

Palmetto bugs are technically roaches though-at least the ones Floridians generally refer to as Palmetto bugs. I think they are technically woodland roaches or something. It was a small Palmetto, only about an inch and a half. I've seen ones around three inches. And considering the brown recluse and black widow problems Florida has Palmetto bugs are slightly preferable. They don't really bite like many bugs. Icky things Palmetto bugs are none the less.

Worst we currently have is ants.
PostPosted: Thu May 02, 2013 12:25 pm

Ants... ah we have those and fire ants (though for some reason the yard of the place i am is one of the few yards without them). And there are red velvet ants (a.k.a "cow killers" that are actually highly poisonous wingless wasps. i think they are pretty though and they aren't that agressive.) I think the palmetto bugs scare the ants from coming inside.

General (most likely useless) Update: There have been a few changes in this front page post to reflect the current active characters in the thread. I think I'm the only one who actually uses it, but I think about 95% of the time in pictures and these "character maps" are used as reference for me on who is where and what is going on. Anyways, as a general notice this has been updated and I have also updated this front page post to reflect the current active characters.

Please note that characters listed in indigo labeled as "not active character/failed to make a character appearance for several pages" can rejoin at any time. If a character has been approved he or she is free to pop in again if he or she so wishes.

If anyone has questions feel free to post here or send me a private message. Thanks.

SORRY! To be honest I forgot about this rp while I was away on my trip out of country then just tons of stuff has happened. One of them being my laptop is broken. After it's fixed up I promise to have Crystal reappear.

No problem. I understand life happens. I just posted a general announcement. If you need to be caught up with anything just ask me. That is why I posted the update to let everyone know a general update. Like I said, any approved character can reappear after a hiatus without needing to consult me just as long as they don't throw the rhythm off too spectacularly. (However, I can probably catch someone up if they have missed a bit which would save someone time, potentially). Good luck with fixing your laptop.

Sorry about not being on these past couple of days for more than a few minutes. Trying to get my car fixed and etc. Also, fair warning, I won't be able to get online from June 30th to July 6th at all.

I haven't posted a while. Not gonna make any excuse or anything but I just haven't felt like it and when it's like that I can't even think of something even if I wanted to. I'm currently just not in the RP mood. Sorry guys =
