Avery had been wading in the shallow end, Rime hovering near him, and holding on to the edge of the pool while he was getting used to the water. One of the things he was good at was swimming, and before he had been adopted, had spent a lot of time at the community pool near his house. He had only been allowed in the baby pool, but it did get deep enough that he could swim without hitting the bottom.

Just as he was getting ready to let go of the edge, and doggy paddle about, there was a sudden uproar nearby. First, someone jumped in the pool, creating a big splash, nearly swamping him, and he came up spluttering.

"Hey! You're not the only one--" and he was suddenly interrupted by another girl who was crying about a bracelet.

He was confused, but then spotted something lying about eight feet away at the bottom of the pool. "Is that it?" He had never dove down so far, but he figured it was just like when he swam with his head underwater, only at a different angle.

He slipped underwater, and cracked his eyes open so he could see where he was reaching. He felt his fingers brush the bracelet, and grabbed a hold of it before pushing off the bottom and coming back to the surface with a gasp. He paddled over to the edge of the pool and climbed out, before walking over to the girl.

"Is this what you wanted?" He smiled at her, and held out the bracelet he had found.

In the background, Rime could be heard climbing out of the pool, and saying quietly in a voice of despair, "...ebarrassed... clothes..." before walking over and retrieving the shorts Avery had not bothered to put on first. She hoped she could get him to put them on without too much trouble...

Yume smiled and laughed slightly. "Magic? That is so cool. I would love to learn too. Yet, I don't mind the new kids. They are an enlightment from no one." She turned and looked around them looking for a young girl. "Would you like some help finding her? What does she look like?"

Acrasia reads over Alida's shoulder, shrugging. I'll race. I guess. She shrugs, face betraying no emotion. "Or watch. Whatever you need me for." She allows a hint of challenge to her voice, as she lifts her chin high. Not a challenge for a race. A challenge to be wanted.

Alida bounced up and hugged Acrasia before she remembered that the girl probably wouldn't welcome such contact. So as suddenly as she started the hug, she ended it, trying to make it seem as though she had only intended a short hug anyway. Oops... I hope she's not mad... And then frowned slightly at Clef. She stamped her foot slightly, with her hands on her hips, and then got out her notebook and wrote.

She's not going to just watch. She's going to be the JUDGE. It's important. And she nodded firmly at him, then motioned for Acrasia to go to the end of the hallway that Clef had designated the end, while she followed Clef down to the other end and got ready to run.

She waited for Acrasia's command intently, wanting to make sure it was a good race.

Sere walks into the lobby, looking around boredly and as if she is a Queen looking at her peasants. Striding over to a large arm chair in the middle of the room, she clambers up ontop of it, looking down on everyone else.

"She sounds cute. I would like to meet her but if you don't mind, I would like to stay and talk with you." She smiled sweetly and looked back into his eyes, smiling as her mouse jumped from her head towards his. "I think she likes you. Yume laughed.

Lute couldn't help blush abit at Yume's kind words moving over so that she could have more room if she wanted it. A hand hesitently moving up to pet the mouse. "What's it's name?" He asked softly feeling the mouses fur gently with his fingers. "I never really had a pet. . . course I was never good with having normal company. . . a pet isn't that different I suppose."

*There was the sound of cooking coming from the kitchen, and Gaunt and Tsuche come out after several minutes with a large plate of fried fish, and another large plate of baked fish. He places the plates down and smiled at any of those around* Go ahead and dig in!
