Austin shook his head, amused with the entire situation. "I won't lie, I'd rather he didn't start dating now, anyway," he admitted. "Give him some time, but really," he went on, "he is so jackin' cute. How the hell did he stay that cute growin' up the way he did? Probably wind up a virgin until his twenties," he drawled as he dropped a hand on the small of her back. "Come on, darklin, time to get you back to school."

...Would it be ruder for her to say something or to keep quiet? The problem here was that Xiu was at a loss for words: what did you say to the father of your friend who, er, talked about this kind of stuff? The baku simply nodded polite to show that she was listening.
She jumped slightly at the hand on her back, but relaxed at his words. "Yes please. I'm, ah, sorry for the inconvenience." Now he had to drive her all the way back to school? Perhaps it would be better if she caught some public transportation or something.
Hmmm.

"Roch asked me to do this," he bragged. "He actually trusts me with his cute little baku. Damn does that make me happy," he said, grinning from ear to ear. "But don't take what he said to heart, screechie. Just let him drama over it for a while, get it out of his system. I'm sure he'll regret it soon enough."

Drama? What was--oh. Sighing again, Xiu nodded in understanding. Yes, she would leave him alone for a bit to mull things over, and then...and then they'd be friends again at some point, right? He didn't want her avoiding him forever?
Hopefully, at least. Looked like Xiu had a lot to think about when she got back home.
