As the claw came down that memory came to him again. He knew what was going to happen. As the ground started to come apart under peoples feet the Captain jumped and moved around as fast as he could to avoid being caught up in a sink hole.
Set back on his advance toward the masked senshi he had to started his way back toward her. He was going to - wait that was Painite on the ground.
Going over to his General he noted she looked well, nothing broken. She was a tough woman, such a thing as the ground giving under her wouldn't keep her down. Smiling he offered her a gloved hand. "Hand up for a pretty lady?" He said with light laughter. It was a harmless comment, no flirting behind it.

[Marienrode's survival, 5-6pm EST]
Marienrode found herself a nice hiding spot behind a group of angry-looking senshi; a particularly large piece of stone had created a good place for a smart civilian to cower, and Marienrode de Virolai Sierra-Preto was nothing if not exceedingly intelligent.

Rubble wasn't much of a obstacle for an eternal, really - once he'd finally gotten a good punching angle, he just punched the rubble back off, got up...
And kicked the pieces at to youma, as hard as he could. Themis was used to pain by now. He could bear this. He had to.
Pain at least told him he wasn't dead.
Themis did 15 damage.

((First roll= Steven's attempt to dodge Second Roll= Eunomia's))
Steven Bittre’s blissfully incognizant state of mind was suddenly ripped from him, and the shock did not go by meekly. Suddenly there was a terrifying mass of… evil? It was hard to tell exactly what it was made out of. But it was obviously bad, and the people arriving were too. Back when they’d first arrived in space, he was in too much shock to really think of the consequences, and even though he’d heard of attacks, he hadn’t actually been a victim of one.
So right now had the honor of being the first moment where he truly thought he was going to die.
He meant to yell out for his crew, but the vocals just turned out to be a babbling stream of gibberish as he took to running. He didn’t know where, but he ust found himself zigzagging around and running in circles around people, hoping to wheedle out where Red, Blue, and Yellow were.
And then he found himself very narrowly trying to escape cracks and sinkholes, which only made him pick up his pace and start to scream. He was just a green streak of panic now, so much so that he hadn't even noticed he dodged everything completely in a streak of utter, dumb luck.
Sailor Eunomia knew she was late to the surrounding, but apparently not so late that she could be absent for the s**t hitting the fan. She felt a panic rising in her chest, not really because this marked her first ‘major’ battle, but she remembered she had parted from Sailor Irene earlier to explore, and while she didn’t know what the younger senshi was capable of, she really would’ve preferred the ability to hover over her mercilessly while people were dying all around them.
She did spot a familiar blonde head with an equally familiar kitty, though, and made a mad dash towards Sailor Iris and *********>, when the claw came down and destruction ensued.
Tying to keep a level head a splitting crack wove it's way towards her, she managed to time a jump just right to dodge it and be on the proper side to make it to her two teammates. "Holy s**t, this is what you do?" She asked the second she managed to get next to Sailor Iris, hoping this wasn't a regular thing in senshi life.

[Okay, so. Virgo: 5, 2, 1 = 8dmg Gunn: 4, 6, 1 = 11dmg Avalon: 3 = 3dmg]
Once she'd wrested herself free of the rubble that had fallen on top of her, she threw herself out to pull a civilian out of the way of some falling rubble. Didn't the Negaverse realize these were human people?... No, of course they didn't, they'd long ago stopped realizing what was human and what was not. Not only that, but they probably didn't care that none of the civilians could defend themselves--so disgusting.
Virgo hurled another piece of rubble at the skeletal youma, and watched as a Negaverser largely deflected it.
----
Where was Hephaistos and his bottle of space vodka now? All she had was some rubble, no matches, no nothing. None of the civs even had a lighter, what good was that?
Gunn's throw was a good deal more accurate than the Zodiac's, but not by much.
----
Avalon had to wonder why she would even try, at this point. Every time she hurled something at the monster, it deflected it! What the hell was even the point!!
It really just made her even more pissed off.

Painite smiled up at the Captain, taking his hand as it was offered and getting to her feet. She needed a bit of dusting, and her knees would be an ugly purple when she got home, but she felt just fine all told.
"Why thank you, handsome Captain," she said, grinning at him proudly. She clapped him on the shoulder, then looked around for something to fight.
Anything would do.
(except I'm totally going to work. Feel free to do with Camelot and Painite as you will, I'll catch up later =] )

Harm was knocked down by debris, crashing into the ground and having the wind knocked from her lungs with a long whoosh. She closed her eyes, seeing the little girl that called out to her lying dead only a few feet away. Her heart ached. It could have been her. Judging by how little she was Harmony determined it should have been her.
Bodies were scattered around her. Grant, Gilbert...people she knew. And all the while all she wanted was Camelot because knew felt she couldn't die if he were around. Too many other people were. He hadn't been kidding when he told her to get as far away as she could and hide. Hopefully the Senshi and the Knights were enough to keep whatever this was at bay. She needed to get far away and got up to run. The gold glitter seemed to intensify in the air and she thought of her mom and she ran, praying she'd see her again.

((Rolls for dodging the attack. Jade first, then Cora))
The beast, it was terrifying. Even to Jade, who always seemed to be calm and ready to face everything.
When the rubble attack came, Jade pushed Menthe hastily, hopefully away from the attack's way. "Watch out!" she warned her and jumped as well, to the opposite direction. She managed to dodge the attack but in the same time, she had lost sight of her friend.
"Menthe! Menthe!" she called out, trying to catch a glimpse of her.
"Ahh! Ahh!" screamed the hysterical cat girl when she dodged th rubble like a little acrobat, a long blonde hair flowing after her like some kind of cloud. "Away! Get away! Please, nice skeleton thing!"

( Hematite (16), Hematine (5) defend rolls ) From out of the belly of the beast, Hematite moved with quiet determination in the second wave. As if it were second nature, he navigated the bubbling pitfalls as they formed with hardly a glance. He was slow, heavy under so much armor and weaponry. But as stoic as he wanted to be, this place was a monument to long-unfinished business. Even his adrenaline rose at the sight of the battle and the possibility that even one more Zodiac senshi might fall today. All of them, if only they could be so fortunate. "Zodiacs!" Hematite called over the fray. Some unrecognizable knight lashed out toward the youma and he whirled his blade around to the flat side to smash hard into their gut. His eyes darted around in the hopes of catching sight of even one of the elusive defenders. He'd waited a long time for this. "You can only cheat death for so long!"Hematine didn't know what the hell was going on, but being seven feet tall did give him a slight advantage in picking his way through the first line of defense. When the ground rumbled he stepped back and tried to figure out what had happened. As he spun around his fists, wrapped tightly around his weapons, accidentally slammed aside a senshi. He was already wiping them off on his coat before he could process what had happened.Hematite defends for 16! Hematine defends for 5!

From beneath the rubble, Magellan had enough time to be remarkably pissed off before she heard someone above offering to help. Thinking it was rather a dumbshit move to offer help instead of just, you know, taking the damn thing off her, Magellan used her impressive upper body strength to shove the rubble up and off her chest, holding it above her on semi-shaking arms for her rescuer to help remove it the rest of the way. She wasn't taking any chances, though. If this was a friend, awesome. If it was a foe? But no, it wasn't -- and hey, he actually was digging through the rubble, he was just getting it off her legs -- she tossed the piece aside and eased out from under it, ignoring the already purpling parts of her legs, the blood that was smeared on the rubble where she'd come out from under it. Magellan barely had a second to register his face -- not one she knew -- before she turned away and jumped right back into the fray. Didn't even really have time to say thank you, apparently.

She had moved more deeply into the fracas, twisting and snarling as she swung the heavy totem-pole like club she used. When the Great Youma swiped it's massive claw downward, she smiled - so many civilians and senshi harmed by the Youma and the resultant debris - and nimbly kept entirely out of the way. Nothing more detrimental to the dark-haired Captain than dust and small shale pieces hit her; each acrobatic flip and twist carrying her away from the middle of the fight, but also keeping her from getting hurt before she could truly prove useful to Chaos.

"My pleasure." Smiling and kissing the back of her hand, flashing a teasing smile he stood back up to his full, though short, height. "Do keep safe." He couldn't even imagine what he'd do if he saw someone really hurt the General. It wasn't that he had any romantic feelings for her but she was family, not in the blood relation sense, and his feelings for her were no less meaningful then if he were in some romantic relationship with her.
Leaving her to her thing he turned his attention back on the masked senshi of shame. She was his target for right now, and he had every intention of smacking her good and hard. Again he made his way toward her.
