He couldn't believe it another dead body, but he kept quiet as people spoke up and started accusing each other and what not. To be honest, he was still in some shock that there were two dead bodies in one scene. He broken out of his little trance as Vaida pushed him aside as she stormed out of the room.

Oujay walked over and picked up the note that Vaida had tossed away. "it feels too early to point fingers at anyone just yet when nothing adds up at the moment. Personally I wouldn't think someone would kill there master with no motive either," he stated agreeing with Ephraim. "Anyways, who remembers which room or stayed in the same room as him?" he asked as he held the note up implying that he was going to search the room for anything that might have his handwriting for them to compare.

The... playing of lances between the silver-haired Beorc and the sea green-haired Beorc was... interesting, though it left Sunil a little disturbed. Just a little.

Soon, there was a scream, and there was another body found as everyone swarmed to the scene. The baldy from earlier wearing the shades had hung himself. Oh noes! There was also a note left behind, poorly written and badly misspelled. Reminded Sunil of his own writing, if he knew how to write.

While accusations were flung across the room as people wanted an answer (started by the Crazy Beorc who for some reason was dressed as a Detective who wanted to blame the Drinking Beorc), Sunil folded his arms across his chest and pondered, raising one arm every now and then to tap the side of his head.

Think... think... think... think... Ah! Idea~

"Hey. If this really is a murder like some of you Beorcs are claiming it to be instead of a suicide, then wouldn't that mean that someone is picking out the people who are alone? Mr. Dragon was by himself when he died, and Mr. Baldy here was alone too. Wouldn't it be safer to pair up so that none of us are alone? If these two incidents were both just accidents and suicides, then there shouldn't be any more of us that die, right?" he suggested.

It was probably an excellent idea, for he was... a Real Kitty of Genius.

User ImageThings just kept getting bad. First the rain then the discovery of a dead body early in the morning. What a pain. It only got worse when the butler said no one could leave. Aruna was a bit upset that she couldn't go home to the Hostess Club, but understood this was now an investigation. All she could do was cooperate. So to make the best of it and get her mind off of her entrapment, the nagini put her skills to good use in the kitchen. She donned an apron and got to work.

After some time passed, the butler gathered the group again to deliver more bad news. Well wasn't this just peachy. As Aruna got ready for dinner she heard a loud yell. Reluctant to find discover the trouble, Aruna slowly slithered to the source of the scream. Apparently the bald human committed suicide. Wasn't this just lovely...

The room was full of tension so she did her best to stay away from the bickering. The annoying green-haired boy dressed ridiculously spouted some nonsense about the drunkard killing the man before them. His accusation hardly contained much solid proof. If we were basing facts on rooming, this boy would have been just as guilty. So would the second victim's roommates. There wasn't enough evidence to support any claims at this point. When the butler asked if anyone agreed with that boy's poorly founded statement, Aruna shook her head. It seemed she wasn't alone in her disagreement.

The snake woman moved her tail out of the way as Vaida stormed out obviously bothered by this turn of events. A blue-haired boy had picked up the note and asked about who stayed with the victims. "This room had Wallace, Legault, and Vaida while the third one had Jaren, Nasir, and Dietrich," she replied thanks to her waitress memory.

Then the furball chimed in with an idea a child could have thought of. "Accidents can still happen," she commented. "Besides there will still be moments when we have to be alone. I don't know about you, but I'd rather not have a stranger in the shower with me."

Aruna crossed her arms under her chest. This whole ordeal was annoying, but she didn't have any choice in the matter. Hopefully someone else had a better suggestion for what to do next.

Bozo's day didn't start well. Bozo was sad the humie no one thought was humie had died, but Bozo had been swatted away like a fly by the scar lady. Bozo had been scared of the scarred lady. Scarred lady was indeed very "scarry". Bozo had thought that joke was funny.

Bozo was gonna change, though! Bozo was tired of being afraid all the time. So Bozo was going to toughen up!

Bozo was now wearing an eyepatch fashioned from a blanket to cover up Bozo's battle wound (even if Bozo wasn't actually wounded, but Bozo looked tougher with it!), because Bozo had heard pirates wore eyepatches, and there was nothing more scary than pirates (apart from snakes, snake-ladies, cats, bandits, the dark, swords, mice, brooms poorly stacked against the wall so they fell down on Bozo, curtains falling down on Bozo, things in general falling down on Bozo, scarred ladies actually Bozo was going to stop thinking about scary things now) so of course Bozo wearing an eyepatch was going to make people afraid of Bozo too!

There was now even more ruckus from the upper floor, so when Bozo flew to check it, Baldy was hanging from the ceiling.

Bozo let out a familiar cry when Bozo realized what had happened. Bozo liked Baldy, Baldy seemed nice. And now Baldy was gone.

But it seemed like some of the humies was thinking someone had offed Baldy, and even that non-humie humie had been snuffed out. Bozo was frightened again, mostly because someone said it would be the strange smelling man's fault. If even that nice humie got blamed, then it could be anyone, right?

However, the words of the blue cat-man perked Bozo's ears up. Bozo strongly opposed to that idea! If someone was paired with the killer, then they'd be a sitting duck (even though no one was a duck, so Bozo didn't quite understand that pro...pro...prono...wise words). And the killer could easily kill someone and make someone take the blame, just because someone was paired with someone being a not-killer! Bozo was getting confused by all these thoughts!

But wait...Bozo donned Bozo's detective aura. Maybe this was the killer's next move, now that people was suspecting there being a killer! So the killer would need to come up with a plan that could help the killer. The plan of having everyone pair up was way too convenient! Surely there would be easier ways to keep track of everyone and everyone safe. That would be to just have everyone stay in the same room! Why would the cat-man come up with a plan that was way more risky than that...

Unless Cat-man was the killer.

Bozo shaked Bozo's head furiously in denial of the moss-man's accusation, and instead, Bozo used both ears (an indication that Bozo was SERIOUS) to point at Cat-man. All the other humies would have to listen to Bozo about this, it was an important detail that couldn't be overlooked. Also, the humies should listen to Bozo for another very important reason.

Bozo had an eyepatch.

Besides.

Cats can't be trusted.

[Yes, Bozo is publically accusing Sunil for the reasons stated above. Also, Bozo is wearing an eyepatch.]

"Very well. I believe the general consensus is that we don not believe that the accused is guilty of anything. Now then-"

The butler stopped as Bozo began to shake and do things. Normally, the butler would ignore such a small creature, but.... that eyepatch... It made the butler pay attention. "Hm? ...Timmy's in the well? This is silly, who even is Timm- Oh? You think the feline is suspicious? Errr... very well... Who else agrees that this man [Sunli] is guilty?"

User ImageSo, the first accusation of Dietrich being the killer was passed to the air, and denied. There wasn't enough facts around to prove he was the killer anyways. The boy just needed to calm down.

But...the cat man did have a point. Sticking as a group could prevent the killer from being able to strike again. And that way, since everyone in the group would be together, they could catch the killer. The idea sounded good to him.

The only thing that stopped him from thinking more was Bozo down on the ground. Bozo was...being serious with pointing her ears towards the cat man. And that eye patch...So intense... Even though that eye patch was intense, there was one thing missing: Evidence. "As much as we all want to know who the killer is, we can't tell who did all of this. We don't have enough evidence."

[[I'll edit a 'proper' post in here later if necessary, but as it is, I don't know what to do in character, partially because Rath has not clarified if Wallace's bruising extends to his torso. I do say nope to Sunil being the killer due to a lack of proper evidence. Blossom also gives the rationale of it being much too soon to start pointing fingers.]]

As logical as the group pairing sounded, it was indeed a little suspicious. However, with just that small fact, Ephraim could not in fact pin any blame. But the advice to go off in pairs...it would help deduct just exactly who the killer was. However, as for the 2nd accusation...there were no hard evidence to pin anybody just yet. The lancer shook his head. "No, There aren't enough facts and evidence."

(Nope again)

"Very well. The general consensus seems to be that you do not agree that the shifter is guilty. Now then..." He turned and looked at the body. "Regardless of what some may believe, I see nothing that contradicts what this appears to be. I am left to conclude that this was a suicide over the grief of having accidentally murdered the other man." He looked back at the group. "Dinner is likely getting cold. The two bodies will be moved into the basement for now, as I cannot think of another place to relocate them. I suggest you all eat and then get some sleep. In the morning, I will have the two of you who can fly go into town. Perhaps with rested minds, we can all be able to think clearly and see to not make reckless accusations..."

The group all left the room, minus the butler and those who volunteered to help move the bodies. Once finished, they joined the others in what was a very solemn, quiet meal. Hardly a single word was spoken the entire time. Once people finished, the group gradually filed into their rooms, calmly, and eventually drifted off to sleep. Wallace had murdered Nasir and then killed himself. If that was true, then everything was over.

It was not over. As the group, minus two (or technically four), sat eating breakfast, the butler hurried in from out back out of breath. "...Please... all of you... come with me now." The butler led the group outside and into the stables. Vaida was already on the scene. Blood was strewn about the walls. When the group entered, they would see a dead body.

It was the dead body of Vanessa.

But the group would also see that there was not just one victim. Vanessa's pegasus and Vaida's wyvern had also been slaughtered. The butler turned to the group. "I was leading the commander to the stables so that she may hurry off into town, but when we entered, we discovered this scene. I was also searching for this girl earlier in the morning, but could not locate her. It seems... I was mistaken. There is more to these deaths that have occurred. What do you all think?"

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. The little meat bun had apparently thought Sunil suspicious for some reason and had accused him, but there wasn't enough evidence to convict the sole Laguz left in the group. The others had defended him only on the grounds of lack of evidence and that it was soon to point fingers.

It seemed like they were going to move the body down to the basement. The cat wondered if the body of the Dragon Laguz had already been moved down there or not, as there was no clear mention of it anywhere in the thread. They had enough people to help carry the baldy down, so Sunil instead headed off for dinner.

Dinner itself was quiet. With two deaths in one day, it was only natural. Well, at least tomorrow they could get someone to town, right? There were the two Beorcs who came in with flying creatures, so they could easily fly over the river.

Once he had finished eating, the cat headed up to his room to get some rest. In his transformed state, Sunil had a hard time falling asleep, but eventually exhaustion won and he had dozed off.

Morning had come too quickly. His clothes were cleaned and washed now, so he could finally get out of the butler outfit, thanking the Beorc who had come to return his clothes. Once he had returned the outfit to the she-Beorc, he headed down to breakfast.

It was not long before the Butler came rushing in, out of breath. The way he spoke was not a good sign.

... Sure enough, there was a dead body. Well, multiple dead bodies. The wyvern and the pegasus were slain along with the girl Beorc, which meant... well, they weren't going to be able to get out of here anytime soon now. The butler asked what they thought. The cat pondered for a bit, then spoke.

"Someone clearly didn't want them to get back to town. I say it's very unlikely that this was an accident, unless someone wants to try to convince everyone that there's a logical explanation for this that wasn't murder." he then glanced over at Vaida, who had been waiting for them as she was with the butler when they found the bodies. "Scarface, you had a chance to look at the bodies, right? What are their injuries, and is there an estimate for time of death?"

This Beorc girl that had just died had gone alone. His suggestion about pairing up to minimize future deaths echoed in his head. Unless someone could successfully convince everyone that this wasn't a murder, it really looked like there might be a killer around.

The events of the next few days were... a little blurred by the fact that Sue had some nomadic tea to deal with the first death. Seeing someone torn apart by what she thought was a horrific accident (a tree falling on Nasir) was terrible! A little sip of the tea though, and she forgot all about it.

There wouldn't be forgetting when she heard that Wallace had somehow gotten killed. How could the fearless knight of Caelin meet his end? This had to be more than just a coincidence, but Sue was unsure who was responsible, if anyone. "By Father Sky, what is going on here...?" she thought. Another day went by where she didn't know what to think. She wasn't going to accuse anyone of being a killer, because she still wasn't certain.

The next morning, when Vanessa and the two mounts were found dead though, Sue was starting to think that maybe a person was behind this. "Who could possibly do this? I know that it wasn't the ones in my room. I'd hear them if they got up..." She said. She was wondering the same things as Sunil too, as to how the mounts and Vanessa met their ends. Troubling news was unfolding at every turn... and this looked like no accident. Someone was behind this, but Sue had no idea who.

'Tch...I figured this would happen,' thought Legault. He still had had doubts about Wallace's supposed suicide when he'd gone to bed last night and this had only confirmed his suspicions. He could only assume there was a murderer amongst them...and this time, there was a clear motive. In fact, Legault had been worried that this killer of questionable existence would slaughter the flying creatures to prevent word of this from getting to the outside. Vanessa was just the unfortunate owner of one of these mounts.

At least the current situation somewhat took any suspicion off of Vaida. Unless she had really wanted to cover up the murders, it was quite unlikely she'd kill off her own wyvern. "Unless we do something, this isn't going to stop," he murmured, understandably not enjoying the situation at all. Even if there were a way to escape, the first one to leave would probably be pegged the conspirator of the murders.

Sighing, Legault approached the bodies of the mounts to take a closer look. Then, speaking loudly enough so others could hear him, he began to voice his thoughts. "Humans can be easily subdued and killed by surprise...but a great winged beast like a wyvern isn't going to let just anyone close enough to take it down. I think we know the 'why' of the murders - that is, preventing word from getting to the outside, but what about the 'how'?" He then leaned in closer to inspect the wounds. The assassin glanced at Vanessa briefly but mostly paid special attention to the wyvern. Even if the murderer hadn't used their own weapon, there might still be a clue to be found.

[What are the distinguishing characteristics of the fatal wounds? Just adding onto what Sunil said, btw.]

Dietrich grumbled, turning away from the mess. "Jaren seems like the most likely subject to me. He was the one throwing out murder accusations yesterday when it looked like suicide. Seems to me he was trying to throw suspicion off himself. You ask me, we want the killing to stop... I think you all know what we need to do. It's time to start doing something about our suspects, and I say we start with him."

[This is an official accusation of Jaren.]

Seems like everything wasn't over just yet. It seemed too good to be simply over. After the events of yesterday the body was moved by the butler. Ephraim however, did a little investigating on his own. He's had his suspicions on a few people for quite some time. Food was over blah blah blah let's move on, this time the one dead was Vanessa and two mounts.

Of course, then it began the accusations without facts. The lancer shook his head. "I don't think simply pointing a finger at someone who accused you first is doing to do you any good. It makes you sound like you are the killer...which..if I remember...you already said that you weren't." he spoke, tapping his foot for a minute.

(( No to Jaren, not sure if I was suppose to wait for Rath to post a butler or not but I'm saying no XD ))

"From what I gathered...of the facts and evidence...on each of the bodies, neither of them had a scratch. What's more, Nasir was killed by a tree...anybody with physical strength could wield an ax, experienced or not. Laguz would have no particular reason to use an ax to cut down a tree just to fake murder...But it would take an enormous amount of strength for them to even knock down." He's had his suspicions for quite some time and after investigating some things, there were no particular cuts or injuries, on either body no less save for Vanessa, the pegasi and the wyvern. All three which were brutally cut up.

"There's more than one killer" stating the obvious, this could not have been the work of just one. There had to be more but for now, the person Ephraim had in mind...He turned to the blacksmith(Enailos) and pointed a finger. "You..I'm sorry to say, but you have been under my suspicions for quite some time."

Now before anybody questioned, this was what Ephraim himself had gathered together from his experience and knowledge. "One, Blacksmiths are trained to use heavy objects on a daily basis, handling an axe to cut down a tree in a short amount of time would be no problem. No injuries were seen on Nasir as well, so its likely that he was strangled." He paused, hoping he was going somewhere with this. "Two, most, if not all blacksmiths..have experiences with noose as they are commonly asked to make them for public hanging.....Three...You are by far probably the only one who can wield multiple weapons with little experience to them. "

((I'm accusing Enailos based on what I have observed and know *points to post* ))
