Kohaku grinned in return. "No problem," he said with amusement. He strode back into the cafe with a small smirk. "One down... seven to go," he said to Eva. "Fortunately the only damage was to the idiot's pride.. tried to brain me with a sign post, though," he said with a shrug. He was surprised to see she'd fixed coffee and to-go bags for both of them. It's obvious this isn't the first time it's happened here, otherwise she wouldn't be so calm and ready, he thought.

"He's a bit of an idiot. He went to same school as I did. Grades above, though. Even then, I knew to stay away from him." She commented. Her smile was warm, "Boss says don't worry about the bill. Perhaps I will see you later today?"

Kohaku shifted one shoulder. "Probably so... though if finding 'Lenny' was as easy as the others, we'll probably have more than half of the stack done by lunch easily," he said as he picked up the files, his fingers shifting unconsciously. So we have nine files, though we've caught one within a hour of leaving the place; knowing luck, we may be able to get the others easily as well, he thought. He blinked, pulling one out and opening it. The name was simple, yet clear: 'Fang'; it showed only the name and a picture of a pale guy with dark brown eyes and brownish black hair in a tank top and black jacket. He didn't realize his pupils had shrunk to slits again, this time in surprise. "This guy, I know personally.... doubt he's anywhere nearby, though," he said in a low voice.

Eva watched him for a moment before reaching out and touching his cheek, "Come on back now." She urged quietly, "Your partner needs you now." She'd seen that look before. Sometimes Aisha got it, when her beast was riding her a bit hard. Generally she would touch the tip of her ear to snap her out of it. Kohaku, however did not have big, sensitive cat ears.

Kohaku cocked his head slightly. "You know that Aisha's not all she appears... so it's only fair you know the same about me," he said with amusement as he allowed the illusion to dispel, revealing the foxish ears and tail as well as the tan and silver wings on his shoulders. "Illusion is one of my... unique talents, among other things," he said as he slid the file back in among the others. He shifted his weight slightly as he heard the car pull around the corner. "I would say that I hoped her boss was cooler after we left... but I kinda doubt he had much of a sense of humor," he said idly as he half turned away.

He'd feel fingers lightly stroking over his flight feathers, not unlike strumming a harp, "I'll see you guys when you get back." She said quietly and turned to return to her customers. Of course she'd known Aisha wasn't even human and she'd asked her right out the first day they'd met. Aisha was very proud of her race and began reciting the entire history. Needless to say, Eva had had to cut her short since she'd been at work. Kohaku's form was...well, it was beautiful but she was almost certain that his origins were not beyond the stars and that fact made her a little sad.

Kohaku tilted his head with a slight smile as he half turned before apparently vanishing on the spot in a swirl of feathers. He almost instantaneously materialized on the driver's side of Aisha's car, his finger tapping once on the window.

Aisha's ears perked in surprise and she rolled down the window, "Hop in, we gotta motor." She jerked her thumb towards passenger side.

Kohaku smiled slightly. "I'll meet you there... if I don't beat you there first," he said teasingly. He could feel the urge to fly thrumming in his body like a tensed string; he wasn't really one to think too much on certain urges, though he knew that there were those that would seek to use him.

Aisha had to squash her initial reaction to challenge him to a race. Largely because she'd get a ticket driving like a maniac, and second, instinctively she knew that Kohaku would beat her to the station. So, she simply nodded, "See you there." Then carefully pulled away from him and into traffic.

Kohaku noticed the interested gleam in her eye. She didn't accept, however. He turned away and strode into the dimly lit alleyway before he shrugged, letting his wings slip free before he took a few long strides and pushed off. His wings immediately caught the air, lifting him high above the rooftops. He grinned momentarily. Maybe if she'd accepted, her wild driving would have scared that idiot straight, he thought.

Since it was Aisha, she drove fast anyway, but not as fast as she would have if she were racing. As it was, her passenger tumbled around the backseat, cussing and hollering for her to slow down. She ignored him all the way to the station and then ignored him some more as she hauled him out unceremoniously and frog-marched him towards the doors.

Kohaku cocked his head as he chuckled, landing above the doorway. "Here's an idea, Lenny-baka... go straight so we don't have to see your ugly mug again," he said idly as he simply stood from his crouching position. He'd arrived in time to see Aisha drag him out of the car cursing in a way he suspected would amuse a certain kunoichi he knew.

Aisha laughed and cuffed Lenny on the back of the head when he muttered a caustic insult at her partner, "Be nice now. You're not quite in police custody, who knows what kind of damage you can suffer in the parking lot."
Lenny shut up.
She marched him inside and was out a short time later with the claim slip, "One down....five to go. You know, you could have come in with me. It would be a good idea for the Boys and Girls in Blue to get used to the sight of you." She pointed out, heading to the car.
"Who's next on the list?"

Kohaku tilted his head as he dropped to the sidewalk. "Garrett Adams... twenty three years of age, 5' 9", 243 pounds; saw him on the way here, apparently trying to break into a house while armed with a snub .38," he said simply. "Four blocks south, five and a half west; dark gray siding with a black roof," he said softly, recalling the house he'd seen the bail jumper breaking into and the location.
