STAGE 2 START!

This time she got past the Chains only to lose at the Ladder. She clambered up though she missed a ledge and ended up falling to her doom flat on her back. She stared upward with a frown present on her lips. She was certain now. Stage 2 had it out for her.

Cady wanted to prove herself.

She had never really been an apt student, and her past few months at Amityville clearly showed her lack of skill at the scholarly arts. No, Cady didn't like being trapped in the dull confines of the classroom. The desks were uncomfortable, and reading and writing was intolerably difficult.

And then, the field trip was announced. Cady nearly vibrated in excitement as she made her way to the field other students were using for practice. She wanted to win. She wanted to be terrible.

Cady wanted to be a terror warrior.

The first course was fairly basic. She lept from platform to platform with apparent ease. The rolling logs caused a more significant problem, as did the trampoline, but she managed to get a clawed hand embedded deep enough in the wall to gain a handhold. She flew across the bladed bridge with considerably more grace, and scrambled up the smoothly curving wall like some kind of furry spider. Swinging across the final challenge, she landed in a graceful lope at just under ninety seconds.

YEAH!

STAGE 2 START!

The second stage proved to be just as hard, if not more-so then the first one, but Astra wasn't about to throw in the towel just yet. She was able to hold onto the two chains as she went down, but then paused at the next obstacle. It looked like it would take alot of strength to do it...and she wasn't a strong person.

I can do this! she thought to herself, then grabbed the bar and went to use her speed more then her strength, and moved the bar into each notch as she climbed to the top, then using the bar to slide down the next obstacle, barely managing to land int he right spot.

The next one was a little easier, but nevertheless quite difficult as she climbed the walls, wobbling each time they shifted. But she was able to hold on. Once that was clear she saw the chains, and jumping towards one grabbed it and let the chain swing her across.

The last obstacle looked really hard, as Astra remembered her dismal performance lifting weights. Approaching the walls, she grabbed onto each one in tern and heaved against them with all her might, and was thankful when it began to give and move upwards. Then as quick as she could, she moved forwards,her arms feeling like they were about to be crushed with the weight of the wall above her, and she managed to get out underneath before she was squished

Finaly, she sat at the end of the stage, rubbing her very sore arms.

Cady trotted to the next phase. Could she keep it up?

She managed the swinging chains with flying colors. The salmon ladder (there were no fish ANYWHERE, and she was sorely disappointed) was similarly defeated.

Feeling a little overconfident, she leapt on the slider and nearly slid right off. Only some really awkward backpedaling got her back on track. Proceeding more carefully, she completed the skitter walk, spin, and wall lift with moderate success. Once again she'd made the time limit.

Once again, she had triumphed.

STAGE 2 START!

Taking a few moments to catch his breath, Yuki was rather proud of himself for making it through the first round. That wasn't so bad, and it certainly proved to be good exercise.

Dashing into the second stage of the obstacle course, Yuki literally zipped his way through the chain reaction without trouble. It was as though he'd been doing this sort of thing before! For all he knew, he might have been an athlete in his past life, right?

Coming to the salmon ladder, he made quick work of that as well, sliding his way down on the slider drop thereafter. In fact, he went so far as to make a show of his landing, releasing the bar and using the forward momentum to flip forward to land perfectly upright on the landing platform. Even if no one was watching him, he was having fun and getting a little overconfident.

This became considerably less when he nearly fell off of the skitter walk, a bit startled by the movement compared to the last round when the walls remained in place. He managed it, however, and wasted no time in moving on to the metal spin and making his way across the gap to the walls that marked the last of this stage.

The first was simple. Fifty pounds? Scarelings' play. The 80 was a little harder, but when Yuki put some muscle behind it he managed it without too much trouble. The third took quite a bit more effort, most likely to be one of the reasons that he would be feeling all of this tomorrow, but he at last lifted it enough to get beneath it and to the finish of stage 2.

STAGE 1 GO!

Bul's second attempt at the Terror Warrior course was far less graceful than his first but he managed to make it. After taking a couple hours' break he was able to regain the energy in his arms, albeit still quite sore, and tranversed the first stage of the course with decent success. Though his moments where he paused were demanding on the clock and when the time finally ran out he stood before the second stage of the obstacle course.

Student Cabinet really outdid themselves with this. Already a bit damaged, if you will, by Trial By Fire, Bul had to do what he could to assure his ego matched his "skill".
