Quiet steps gently disturbed the stillness of the Cresting Woods. The trees stretched up far above her like ancient sentinels and the Kakurenbo lifted her mask face to the leaf-patches sky. Right hand rested on her hip, while the left dangled at her side as she considered just exactly why she was wandering around in the forest. She was new to Ernya, but only as a returning visitor. She had lived here before she left to travel around to various places with names she didn't care to discover. It was a reckless venture and, as she breathed in the calming forest scents around her, it was time to be serious and start training herself to become an actual threat.
On second thought, Leifang considered that she should have asked the guards around Ernya as to where she should go, but she didn't feel like facing the constant judging gaze as the citizens took in her exotic attire and her fox mask. She smirked behind the mask; she liked the attention she got, despite how the cult tried everything to convince her otherwise. Even then, however, today she was feeling... peaceful. She would no doubt go back to teasing and causing mischief as soon as she felt a bit more confident in her abilities.
The Kakurenbo continued forwards through the forest, her hand trailing over the rough trunks of the trees around her. She kept her eyes alert, gazing around each clearing through the slits in her mask to see if she could even find anyone else among the foliage. Was she really alone in such a vast forest? Her emerald hair fell loosely behind her shoulder as she tilted her head, almost dejected nobody was around to entertain her.

Footsteps rustled the leaves behind Leifang, moving too quickly for her to follow. It seems the forest isn't as empty as once thought.

The rustle of quick footsteps caught Leifang's attention. She turned her head quickly, hidden eyes narrowing behind her white and crimson mask as she gazed through the tree and foliage behind her. She saw nothing but her guard was up. Hairs on her arms and on the back of her neck stood but she wasn't expecting an attack; rather, she was tense for a surprise. Slowly, her head tilted very slightly as she turned her gaze in a slow arc back to face the front, where she was originally facing.
"Hello~?" she called out, sounding slightly amused. Her nails dug into the rough bark as she waited for her company to show themselves.

As she turned, her mask almost brushed the face of a cat-like figure standing mere inches from her. She jerked her head back slightly, tilting her head once more, her surprise hidden efficiently behind the neutral expression of her fox face. Her shock, however, was quickly replaced with a small smile at how open the new person was to her kind.
"It's a shame I didn't get to see them," she replied lightly, stepping back so she could examine the feline figure before her. Her pose returned to her unguarded, almost playful stance, one hand on her hip again as she regarded the visitor as a welcome sight.

Leifang took in her words, still smiling behind the mask. "A mission?" she asked out loud, not seeking an answer. How could she have forgotten the thrill of trying herself against the odds, to challenge her abilities as she helped out? She almost wiggled with pleasure at the thought of being sent on missions herself, but she forced herself to focus first. After all, she's hardly had any training.
"Yes, are you a trainer?" Her hips shook slightly, shifting her weigh from one foot to the other in anticipation.

The Kakurenbo looked pleased, her eyes lighting up when she realized the feline before her was going to help teach her. She noted the name "Lady Liliana", realizing it sounded familiar but she didn't voice her recognition; instead, she stored the name for later.
She struck an almost dramatic and epic pose, changing the hand on her hip from her right hand to her left and pointed the right hand to her teacher. She laughed at herself and grinned behind the mask. "I am Leifang, a Mind-Blader and fire is my element!" Leifang paused, as if she was waiting for something to happen. She sighed and looked almost dejected. "...Trust me, when I actually get trained, my introduction will be a lot more spectacular."

"About time someone recognized the power of a good mind blader," she grinned. She flashed the emerald ring on her hand. "This is what I keep Clarity in, my first Pure Weapon. Pick an item of yours to store the energy of your first Pure Weapon in and decide on a form for that weapon."

Intrigued, Leifang watched Kimmi as she flashed her emerald ring. She admired the gem with her sparkling eyes and nodded slowly. "I have something like that." She reached under the collar of her shirt and pulled out the charm from her necklace. It was a glowing blue glass shaped like a bottle, complete with a wooden cork. "Will this do?" She twirled the glossy surface in her fingers, almost protectively, turning her mask down to gaze at the charm.
"As for the weapon..." She closed her eyes briefly, imaging what felt right in her hands. Instinctively, her free hand grasped around an invisible hilt. "I think a katana would be nice. Dual katanas. Though I'm not sure if it's possible at the moment to summon two at once...?" She opened her eyes to look at her feline teacher.

"That will work fine. But one object, one weapon. Now, focus on the weight, style, and strength of the weapon being in your hands." A stylish bow and quiver of arrows appeared on her hands. "Your mind will construct the energy to make the weapon for you. This," she held up the bow, "is Clarity. I like to name my weapons, personally."

Leifang nodded slowly, her expression hidden behind her mask. Her hand, still gripping air, twitched slightly as she imagined the hilt of the blade forming in her grasp. Both her hands glowed with a bright blue light. Her necklace gave the same colored aura of energy as she weaved the idea of the katana in her mind like a seamstress sewing a beautiful creation. At once, the energy in her outstretched hand stretched out, forming the shape of a long katana before it solidified into a bronze blade.
The Kakurenbo gazed at her new weapon in her hand, eyes lighting up with glee. She swung it around, the blade brushing along the grass as it swung like a wheel twice before she held it front of her hand to examine it more closely. "....Heh. Amazing!" Despite trying her hardest not to act like an eager pup with a treat, she couldn't help but slash it horizontally, admiring the sound of the blade slicing through the air and the effortless way the sword fit in the palm of her hand.

A simply skill where the user creates a scent to fool those who have an enhanced smell. It can also work on people with a normal sense of smell as well.

After admiring her new weapon a few moments longer, she let the energy fade. It was much quicker than first creating the weapon and, after focusing her thoughts, she knew she could summon it as quickly as if she pulled a real sword from a sheath.
Turning her attention back to her teacher, Leifang tilted her head as she listened carefully to the skill's instructions. "Fool Scent, eh? This will be fun..." She focus her energy and released it into the air. The smell slowly changed; no longer was it the comforting, woodsy scent. Instead, the air smelled thick with wood smoke, as if the forest around them was ablaze with hungry flames. After letting the scent linger for several moments, she let the scent fade, but the grinned on her face at the amazement of learning a new skill remained.
