“I have foreseen your destruction.” Rivkah watched as he moved over to the rubble, retrieving her dropped bundle before following after him, watching as he cradled Abaddon in his arms like a child. "I am no soldier Raphael, I need help, then I will be happy to get out of your way." She did not like the man anymore than she had liked the beast, however he carried Abaddon so staying was the only option to her. Abandoning him now, after everything he had tried to do, would be unacceptable. Moving around Rivkah touched her hand to his brow, gently stroking his warm forehead. "Everything will be OK Abaddon," She whispered to him, before turning on Raphael. "You clearly dont understand. You are not human, not that I have an issue with that, I do, however have an issue with you threatening to murder us. We pose no threat to you, so where would be the fun in that? Not even a challenge? That doesn't really strike me as a trait that goes well with a Master of Mau," Her eyes widened a little in shock. "That's weird, I didn't know that before..."

It was obvious that she was upset with him, but he didn't really care, regardless. If she wouldn't accept his apologies, then there was nothing he could do. ''Blaming someone for that they cannot control, after all, isn't something to look up to. Tch... Seers. At least Liliana accepts the fact that we all have our demons. Some of ours... are just a little more "active" than the others."
Staring her down as she attempted to comfort the boy, he spoke once more, with both concern and advice. ''This is the truth of what we are. When I am not the evil... vile creature you see, I'm just like him. Even the purest of angels can become a disgusting, feral being once they enter their Night Terror form. I don't want to talk down upon him... definitely not after what I did... but I want to warn you that sometimes... it isn't so easy to regain control once the adrenaline gets too high. Despite the fact that you both... probably hate me now, I'll be advising and regulating Abbadon's Nightmare training from now on. Believe what you will, but I am not a bad person at heart. “I have foreseen your destruction.” "Well, I see what your demon has created in you, not what you once were. Even if you can be human, appear human, that creature, lurking within, makes you something else. I accept that you have no control, and I accept that you did not mean to be so vicious. However you did what you did, and there are consequences for actions. Your consequence is, that I will never hold you in high regard. You will always be a monster in my eyes, unless, by some miracle, you can change that view," With that she stepped back, and gazed with sightless eyes around the area. "IS there some place we can take him, to recover? When he is safe and in good care I will feel much better about listening to your excuses,"

''Hm... we are a simple land, filled with simple people. There aren't really any hospitals around here. However..." He started, before walking over to the entrance of his hut. ''My bed's quite comfortable. I know it's not much to offer, but it's the best I can really accomplish. Many of the followers of Rykort refuse to use complex machinery to tend to wounds, and quite frankly, I'd rather die than resort to hoping that fairy tales like "hensbane and leeches" actually work." Lightly opening the curtains, he stepped into the large, circular room as he laid Abbadon down upon his bed, in a position that he hoped was comfortable. ''...What have I gotten myself into, this time? Was it impulse? Fear that another Nightmare was coming to reveal me? Can I not let secrets stay secrets? Can I not attempt to control all around me? I was once seen as a good man... but now...? I wonder... what my life will become. I wonder... if the innocent, naive little Nightmare will stay that way for long. ...I don't want change." In the room, there was weapons... armor... and even books, strewn about the room. But higher than all, a banner flew from roof to below. Upon it was the Lord's oath. And then, at the very end, it revealed what the two did not yet know.
''RAPHAEL I -- LORD OF MAU"

“I have foreseen your destruction.” Rivkah stayed just within the door, searching blindly. "You know, it would help if everyone enchanted their furniture..." She muttered to herself, clutching her bundle to her chest. It was somewhat dirty, but she didn't care. She couldnt see it, after all. Though it was held as though the very world depended on it. It was rarely out of her reach.
"So, a simple people? I see. Simplistic is always good, It means I am essentially blind here though... which is a bit of a downer... Though, you are far from simple, so not everyone in this little country is simple, are they?" She had a half smile on her face, Abaddon's energy signature had returned to its original tone and it set her mind at rest. "We can talk now, if you would like. Try to salvage some scrap of worth in my eyes." Of course, Rivkah saw him as any other man. He was nothing special, just a man and a monster. Hjis master rank held no sway in her mind. It made him worse for attacking people weaker than himself, as far as she was concerned.

In the beginning, before you were even conceived, it was already decided that you were to die. XXXXSo what does it matter... if I am the one to bring about your fate? ''What's there to say? I lost it. I am a monster. You are right about that, Rivkah. But I didn't want anyone to know that. Nightmares... people see us as passive beings... beings that have the potential to be either good or bad... but that... that isn't true. There is no cure for our evil, no matter how much or how little of that evil there is. Only the other Nightmares know this. When I felt Abbadon's coming, I was immediately struck with the fear that he was going to reveal who I really was. Who all of us really were. My mind wanted to keep rational but my body ached to end his life... and I know this is definitely less than a justification for my actions... but... simply put... I struggle with my nature. Have you ever thought to yourself -- ever in your life -- that you would be happier if you were not blind? Have you ever seen your loss of sight as a curse? If so... then you have thought the same thing as I. No matter who I am -- no matter what I am -- I am a Nightmare. I cannot escape from who I am. I cannot escape from the constant evil that stays with me. The evil that will never leave me." For some reason, he found himself pouring his heart out to the girl, and for a moment, even if just for a moment, she could see his desperation. The desperate feeling that he could not be saved. That he was doomed to suffer anguish. ''I care for Abbadon, a man who suffers from the same fate as I, but I fear him as well. I don't want to justify my actions -- they were wrong -- but I want you to know that what I am... is not what I chose to be. Just as humans long to achieve goodness... everything I am longs to be everything people find to not be right."
''Impulsive. Weak. Untamed. That is all you reveal yourself to be, Raphael. You show this girl that you are what you are... and then you tell her that you can never change. Is that how you want to be seen? Do you want her to pity you? To ACCEPT you? Why must you try to even be understood? You are malicious, tyrannical and evil! That's all there is to it! Whether it's because of your race, lineage, heritage, or even if it's because of someone else, you are what you are! There has never been a room for excuses! There never will be!" As always, when he was at his lowest, Roxanne found the desire to swoop in and strike Raphael while he is already low. It was something she often did... destroying all hope before there was even... hope to be found.

“I have foreseen your destruction.” Rivkah stood there, pondering his words, thinking them over before she spoke. "So, you admit freely, that you are a monster..." She nodded to herself. "OK, so you are not in denial, I can live with that," She still wasnt liking him. He had threatened her life for no real reason other than his form. It was odd that he was being so honest now. A twang of pity, but nothing more.
[1/3]With a loud gasp, Rivkah dropped her package, gripping her head as it shot through with pain. She let out a high pitched wail, filled with sorrow. It felt like her mind was breaking, like she might be going mad.
[2/3] She leaned forward slightly, a small trickle, like flashes, ran through her mind. "Impulsive. Weak. Untamed" She shook her head. "No, no, no. You aren't my thoughts, get out!" She whispered, shaking her head back and forth.
[3/3] The pain vanished as if it had never been and she stood, reeling, where she had been, though now she could hear, hear... what was that? That voice? "You show this girl that you are what you are... and then you tell her that you can never change. There never will be!" "NO!" She cried out. "NO! Get out of my head!" She gasped and fell to her knees as she managed to shut off the voice. gasping for breath, her hands still pressed to her skull.
"What... what was that... Who was that?" Tears ran down her face, thinking that all the pain to be suffered was left behind, that it would be time for her to have peace, to live without torment. Apparently this was not the case, doomed to suffer for a much longer time.

The girl shows weakness, too! Maybe you should become friends! You seem to have oh-so-much in common! Look at her, too! She cries, just as you do! She wails and weeps in terror! And because of what? The "voice in your head"? The "true Nightmare"? Don't give me that crap. What will it be, Raphael? What am I? Am I your "demon"? Am I "you"? What will you tell her I am? Will you tell her the truth? Ha, but no! You never do that! You never will! Lie! Lie to her if you must, but in this situation, all that will be revealed of you is the TRUTH." By now, Roxanne's coherent and destructive emotions were getting out of hand within Raphael's head, pushing his mind into a rage that he had tried so hard to suppress. ''Just... just... shut up! I don't want you! I've never wanted you! Leave me alone!" His body shaking with fear, the man grabbed Roxanne, and tossed her to the floor with all of his strength. At least... like this... she wouldn't be a threat. But still... he could still... hear her. ''You don't want to know who she is. She's just... she's just..." Clenching his fists, he stared upon the floor that Roxanne was sitting upon, a deadly look in his eyes, something that would tell her that if he could... he would've killed her a long time ago. ''...torment. She's just... torment. I can never be rid of her. Don't you understand it? This is why I can never be saved! It isn't up to me! It never was! She'll never change, and neither will the course of my life!"

“I have foreseen your destruction.” Rivkah placed her hands on the ground, still fighting to catch her breath. "That voice, that thing, speaks to you all the time? How do you bear it?" She was a little impressed. If she had such a voice in her mind she would surely be mad by now. Uncontrollably and completely insane, Raphael seemed to be able to manage to keep some manner of decorum. She pushed herself up, knees shaking as she stood.
With a frown, she had the seed of thought begin to blossom in her mind. No matter what he had done, he did not deserve that kind of torment. A strong surge of pity was the only feeling held in a cold heart, for this monster. He was not redeemed, she just understood him a little better.

This is just... fallout, from the initial stages of my life. It'll always be with me... but whatever it is... it's better than what... I once had." He had managed to calm down a bit... but still, he was... embarrassed, at what happened. But strangely... this made him think of things. If someone could be so struck by a simple voice in one's head... did that not mean... that his life... was even worse than he thought? That he had to endure things, every day, that no one else could? Maybe he was a little impressed with himself, but... above all things, he was afraid. Everything felt so... so... cold. Just so... cold. ''I think I... need to go to sleep, too. I... yeah, I really need to. By the way... I thought I'd share this with you... I'm the Lord of Mau. That's why I was... why I was... so afraid. I don't want things to change. I don't." His body began to fail him... his mind spun... and finally, when he met the bed, and gave one last, odd look at Abbadon, his eyes closed and they did not open again. At least not... for the night.

“I have foreseen your destruction.” Rivkah had listened in silence to his monologue, surprise blossoming as he revealed his true identity. The lord of Mau? He seemed to act more the child at some points, though that was understandable given his situation. Pretending to be this man would be a huge emotional drain. Once he had collapsed on the bed beside Abaddon, Rivkah leaned down to retrieve her dropped parcel before very carefully making her way over to the bedside, arm outstretched. Of course, bumping into something was inevitable, though she managed not to yelp as she stubbed her toe.
Lowering herself onto the bed with great care, he perched on the edge of the bed beside Abaddon, a hand stroking his cheek ever so gently. Regret panged in her heart as she could do nothing to help him wake, after all he had done for her, she wished she could help him out in some way. No one had ever fought for her before, especially not a stranger and here the first person she had met in this country had risked his life to protect her own. Even if he hadnt succeeded, he had tried, and for that she was grateful.

Abaddon woke up with a dull pain thudding throughout his skull and the rest of his body, yet at the same time, an impossible gentle touch across his cheek. His eyes opened up to the sight of the girl from earlier, it was the first time he'd ever woken up from blacking out to find someone at his side. Rivkah's still here...? He thought, and then remembered what had happened before he blacked out. Suddenly sitting up, he looked around they were in someone's hut on someone other person's bed and he was next to that someone.
"Where are we? And who is that?" Abaddon asked Rivkah as his eyes shifted nervously. What happened to that creature? His thoughts filled with panic and his anger started to build. He refocused on Rivkah again and asked, "That thing, Raphael, what happened to it?" His body was still in panic mode even though he had begun to calm down, and he flexed his fingers repeatedly to try and work the tension out.

“I have foreseen your destruction.” A flood of relief washed over her as he woke. Getting too excited about the creature would end badly, she was sure so she decided reassurance would work best. "Shhh, everything is OK Abaddon. The creature is gone. He came, and the creature left," She lied, because she had to. She didnt know how he would take laying next to the creature who had tried to kill them. "That is the Lord of Mau," She murmured, not wanting to wake Raphael up, she kept her voice low. The seer pressed her hand gently to his forehead, checking to see how hot he was, with a small smile on her face. "How are you feeling?"

"It's gone? The thing just left...?" He mumbled, bewildered. He glanced over to the sleeping man and wondered if he'd been the one that drove it off. Abaddon turned his attention back to Rivkah and whispered, "I'm okay... I think. What about you, there's a bit of a bump growing on your forehead." He got up slowly and started to blush when he realized how close they were to each other. After glancing over to the still sleeping man he asked, "Should we really be staying here in his house? It seems weird with him passed out like that." Abaddon then shifted himself so he was sitting next to Rivkah instead of half lying down next to her.

“I have foreseen your destruction.” Rivkah nodded. "Yes, the creature left," Not wanting to lie to much she left it at that. It was true, the creature had left when Raphael appeared... A frown creased her brow as she reached up, touching the lump on her head. "Well, would you look at that..." she grumbled, "Of course I have a lump," She rolled her unseeing eyes before nodding. "Yes, I guess you are right, we should be on our way. leave him to sleep off the battle," With the blanket in hand Rivkah stood, swaying just a fraction forward, exhausted, though she wouldnt admit it, or rest. Not yet anyway. "Let us go find somewhere else. There are far too many people in this room." She held out her hand to Abaddon. "you will have to take the lead, this place is too dark for me to navigate safely,"
