"Let's go find some flowers!" Asraine suggested excitedly, bouncing on her feet. "Wouldn't that be lovely? Gathering flowers? I absolutely love gathering flowers!"
Lucellum, who had been about to suggest a brothel, smiled sweetly. "Yeah, that sounds good." She started to eat berries absently to keep her strength up.

Sighing slightly as he gave a small look towards the other's Kale walked towards the shops a jangle of gold coins shifted in the pouch that hung just under his chest plate. "Well if things like that will be needed" he said as he looked over a few disappearing into the crowd of stall's. Moving from stall to stall the coin purse he had been keeping was getting lighter and lighter by the time he finally ventured back out from it. He had bought rope and many things of salted food that could be carried with them so they would not need to worry for it. "what else would be needed" he muttered thinking about it as he stood in the street looking around.

Esfania shrugged slightly. "Alright, that I can handle." Of course, she intended on searching near whatever flower patch Asraine chose for herbs she could use for certain poisons. More than likely, she'd end up more attracted to the useful juices and salves she could get from the ugly weed-like herbs versus the pretty flowers she might come across.

"Come on!" She grabbed Esfania's hand as well as her sister's, and quickly sniffed out a pretty field of flowers and started to frolic, bending down and sniffing a flower, then eating a few of the petals.
"Asraine, don't—" Lucellum sighed and glanced at Esfania. "That's a blush rose. Highly addictive and known to inhibit mental growth in witches... which actually explains a lot."

"Are there any other side-effects of ingesting a blush rose?" Esfania asked, finding herself to be slightly interested in the plant.

"Not that I know of," Lucellum said slowly, eyeing her sister as Asraine sniffed more flowers happily, collecting them. "Witches eat a lot of plants. Our bodies and our magics adapted to it. A lot of things affect witches differently from other races. We can eat grass to temporarily boost our mental faculties. Unfortunately, enough of that makes us sick, so we don't do it often. Asraine—" She sighed as the elfwitch nibbled at the roots of a violet sunflower, a mutation that was known to happen rapidly around witches. The roots of violet sunflowers caused a sensation of extreme bliss, to the point of annoying cheerfulness. "Zazikel, elves don't know how to raise a witch at all."

"I assume witches wouldn't do that much better with an elf." Esfania replied with a small shrug, looking about and plucking some uglier plants - mostly deadly or somehow harmful if ingested. "By the way, are there any plants that could severely harm a witch?"

In response, Lucellum grabbed one of the deadly plants that Esfania had just picked, popping it into her mouth and chewing slowly. "Our bodies are very adapted," she said around her snack. "No plants are poisonous to us in any way. Meat, though..." She swallowed. "Witches stay away from that. It's not philosophical, it's necessity. Our bodies can't handle it, that's how adapted we are to surviving off of flora."
"Sister!~" Asraine sang, giggling as she spun. "I'm so happy!~" She acted like she was high, giggling and spinning and dancing about.
"Great," Lucellum muttered. "Now what's she eaten?"

"How odd. Most elves I've known simply don't eat meats because they're druids or related to such and it feels amoral eating something you can percieve as sentient." Esfania commented, stuffing what she had currently gathered into a small pouch on the side of her belt. "As you can tell, I'm rather amoral by traditional elvish standards. I simply don't give a damn."

"Good attitude," Lucellum said, not even bothering anymore as Asraine shook powder from a pink flower onto her tongue. "I have a question for you," the witch said after a moment. "I promise it's not me sexually harassing you, just simple curiosity. Have you ever been with a woman? I tried being with a man once, when I turned fifty. It... didn't appeal to me that much."

"Yes. I've been with just about as many women as I have men." Esfania replied with a soft sigh. There was no point in lying about something like that, unless someone really and truly knew how much many elves valued monogamy and faithfulness to one's spouse as well as how the more traditional ones tended to stick with one mate for life. Some have since moved on from such customs, as Esfania had, but the majority - those who hid themselves in nature away from human kind - had not.

"But I thought you were supposed to remain faithful to one," Asraine said, mildly confused and more than slightly dazed as she wandered towards Esfania and Lucellum. "That's what mother always told me." She slid her slender arms around Esfania.
"Come here, honey." Lucellum, feeling a pang of jealousy as her sister hugged Esfania, drew Asraine to her and hugged her, kissing her forehead. "Some people aren't like that, honey. I'm not." Asraine mumbled something incoherently and then wandered off to find more flowers. "Honestly. I think she ate an ironleaf. Which causes a sensation most would call 'stoned'. Strange girl. Less so than the rest of my family."

"I'm only loyal to those who deserve it. Besides...all of my past spouses had been human." Esfania replied with a slight shrug. "This isn't an insult or any sort of jab at you, Lucellum, but I never imagined you to be the type to have a 'normal' family. If anything, I'd always thought they'd be borderline psychotic."

"There's nothing borderline about them," Lucellum said. "I was six the first time I had to fend off a cousin trying to murder me. It was over a toy. And, for the record, I did not take it, it was that shesla Harren with her stupid blue hair. Ooh, a witch with glamour that has blue hair. How special." She took a deep breath. "After a while I just got fed up with people I barely knew trying to kill me, so I cut all ties and left. And then I learned the joy of theft and helping nobleman's wives commit adultery." Lucellum sighed fondly. "Fun times."
