The news of the murder affected Vlad in the selfish manner of which people foremost worry about
themselves being murdered with a little twist of concern for Estra. But as people slowly filtered out and the crowd thinned, he reassured himself that it was indeed a
man dead and nobody was going to kill two people in one night, and what was the point of killing a dove if she was pretty and stupid with no power nor capabilities at all? Nothing looked like Estra far as his eye could see, across the waves of people, and so he officially Gave Up. She was just going to have to fend for herself, she was just going to have to starve to death and come crawling back when the sun rose again - it's not like she was going to get murdered - well at least he thought she wasn't going to get murdered. She was going to be murdered -
it wasn't like he could find her anyway. It was time to
go home.Vlad slipped home, stepping lithely into the gaps between bodies for quick progress, and rapidly made his way up their clock tower's stairs. The door was left slightly ajar - he couldn't remember if he closed it.
It didn't matter in the next few seconds, when he pushed it open to the sight of Estra and Talulah sleeping on the floor.

art by Jun D!That accursed goldfish, he should've known that she was busy getting her into trouble.
Her and her infernal dancing and 'fun' and look at those two idiots sleeping so peacefully, like they didn't know I was going out of my mind looking for that stupid birdbrain. He spent a good while there, towering over the pair, seething over the waste of a night and the amount of anxiety and thought he had even bothered to invest in Estra. His eyes narrowed - but it was too late to rage at them, and he too, was tired of being awake. He turned away sharply, fluffed his collar up and settled in a corner sulkily to sleep.
His stomach growled.
