Lilly cradled her legs against he chest and took a deep breath. She didn't look up at Suki, but she listened. What about my parents.. she wondered. She had to see them once more, then she would leave. Forever.

Leighton choked on tears when trying to stop crying. He coughed for a moment then lifted his head from his wary hands. He took a lazy glance at the liquor. "I don't drink." he said, still looking at the bottle. Leighton, please. Riku said to him. Leighton grunted and tried to ignore his brother.

Leighton dropped his face back into his rough hands. "I'll wait outside. Keep guard." his voice was muffled from his face being buried in his hands. He took deep breath and stood. "I suppose we should go. Lilly, you can fly with me." he offered his hand to Lilly.
Lilly looked up at Leighton with weary eyes for a moment, then took his hand and stood from the sofa. She didn't say anything to them, just stared off into space. She still held onto his hand. Partly because she needed to keep balance, partly because she was scared and in shock.

Lilly looked up at Leighton. Leighton rubbed his eyes with his free hand. "In this case, stealth." he forced a smile for Lilly and folded his wings tighter so they weren't as noticeable. "Let's go."

Leighton took hold of the keys and walked into the garage with Lilly. He smiled at the sight and Lilly widened her eyes. There in front of them sat a slick black car with an intriguing design. Leighton opened the passenger door for Lilly, and the door turned upwards and went above the car. Lilly stared for a moment, then sat in the black leather seat. Leighton pushed the door down and sat into the driver's seat.
He pushed and turned the key in the ignition and the engine roared to life. Leighton smiled devilishly in satisfaction. He backed out of the garage, and realized that the windows were tinted black. "Perfect." he smiled. Lilly tightened her seat belt, knowing Leighton may want to get some speed on this demon. Leighton pushed on the gas and played with the ignition a bit to make it roar. He laughed in delight. Lilly gave him a puzzled look, and Leighton just winked at her. He revved the engine once more, and sped off. The speed must have been much too intense and fast to possibly be visible.

Within another few seconds, Leighton pulled into the alley next to Lilly's apartment. They quickly got out of the car. Leighton waited in the alley, watching, while Lilly ran to the front door with a smile. She was ready to see her parents. She struggled with the keys, but managed to unlock the door.
Lilly burst through the door. "Mom! Dad!" she called. No answer. Must be in the living room. Lilly ran through the apartment to the other side where the living room was. As she walked in, she dropped the keys, and screamed.
Leighton dashed into the house as soon as he heard her cry of terror. As he entered, he stopped in the doorway and looked at Lilly. She was on her knees, looming over her parents dead bodies.

Lilly sobbed above her parents. "No!" she screamed. She buried her head on her father's chest, hoping to hear a heartbeat. Nothing. Her hands were covered in her parents blood. She didn't care.
Leighton got Selia's message, but barely. It was mixed with Riku trying to contact him. Leighton caught something in the corner of his eye, sitting on the table. It was a silver bullet, with the initials "RS". The bullet sat upright, placed to be seen on purpose. Riku Sekemoto. Leighton clenched the bullet in his fist, then threw it at the wall.

Leaighton nodded with a clenched jaw. He walked to Lilly and gently lifted her into his arms. She struggled against him and screamed for her parents. Now do I have your attention? Riku said. Leighton said in his head, "Yes."
