Anya came back from her random wanderings of the territory. She was growing bored and nothing ever seemed to around. Then again, she was always by herself and never really talked with anyone. Anya was slowly becoming like her adoptive mother, Leanna, and she didn't even notice. Coming back near to the cave clearing, she noticed the King with his mate. She supressed a sigh and walked past them quietly.

Akin spotted his sister walking past and quickly leaped up to follow her. "I will be back soon." He fell into step with the purple liger. "Anya, I have a duty for you."

She blinked looking up at her brother. Stretching a bit, the liger yawned then became alert. "Alright..what's the job, King?" She questioned, a seriouness to her usually aloof tone. For some reason, she felt like being serious today.

She bite down on his ear and slowly growled but then chuffed. "Alright, Bro. You got it. I'll watch the lands." She smiled and looked over at Kichea. "Make sure she comes back safe, Sir." She waved her tail feather and stepped back toward the cave.

Rasha stuck her chin up high in the air and led the way to the water hole nearby. As she moved about the pride with ease she noticed a fairly large Dung beetle moving across from her. a grin formed on Rasha's face and she started to stalk the beetle as if she was hunting, she the predator and the beetle the prey

As the moved about the outside of the den, she noticed one of the young cubs practicing her skills. Anya gave a quiet chuff and watched her silently. The cub seemed to be doing well, but could she be quiet enough and effective enough to catch the beetle? Anya could see the makings of a hunter in this one..if trained properly.

The beetle seem to not mind Rasha one bit, it was a great opportunity for her to pounce at it. She finally took her chance of an open and leaped through the air, but she didn't get the beetle. He had flew away before she landed back to the ground. "Aww man...huh?...Ewwww" Instead of pouncing on the beetle she pounced on his small ball of dung. Rasha's look of disgust was priceless. She now wanted to get to that water hole as soon as possile. "Ugh...this is nasty!" she cried hoping that her didn't see her jump into that stuff or at least not make fun of her.

Anya suppressed an all out laugh and instead let out a little chuckle. Moving over to the kit, the liger picked up Rasha by the scruff and trotted to the lake. Setting the child in the shallows, she helped Rasha wash herself off from the stink. "There now. That was pretty good, Rasha. You almost had it. Maybe next time, try something without wings?" She advised as the dung was now all washed off. Anya then took the little one and began to lick her dry, her tongue going all over the cub as to not miss anything.

Rasha squirmed around as Anya tries to dry her. "Yeah I think I may consider a spider or a small pig besides poo. Blech!" She was still embarassed about Anya seeing her folly, she didn't want anyone seeing what had happened. "PLEASE don't tell anyone about this. I'll die if anyone finds out. Im ready to set myself in front of a herd of elephants." Rasha gave a big eye look like puppy dog eyes.

This time, the ligeress laughed. "Oh my! Like I would ever dream of doing that? Rasha, this will be our little secret, ok?" The female smiled and nudged the other cub on the foehead with her nose. "Now, shall we try again with your pouncing? Maybe on different prey." Anya got up and looked about until she found a small lizard on a rock. "Aha! There we are. See that little lizard, Rasha? Over there near to the den. The brown one with the green stripes." She motioned her paw toward it then looked back at the cub. "Want to try that one?"

Rasha wasn't the best of the best among the pride's hunters. She did what her mentor Anya said and started to lay low stalking the lizard. The lizard laid relaxed on the rock until he felt the small vibrations caused by Rasha. He tried to make an escape but it was too late. Rasha had already pounced on the lizard. "I got him!" Rasha held her head up high at her small accomplishment, she let the little reptile go watching him run off through the grass. Rasha ran back to Anya "You think I can practice on something more of a bigger game instead of lizards?"
