Eilian certainly couldn't remember laughing half as much in the past month as she was in the past few hours. Fallon had rather interestingly drained the first glass of punch she had brought over and then gone to get more. Somewhere before the second had been drained she was getting a rather fruity kiss smack on the lips. In stunned surprise one had dropped on her shoulder, her neck, anywhere Fallon could find skin which was...well a few places.

The announcement of the potential Prom Court hadn't surprised the teen much though hearing Fallon as nominee for King had her grinning and laughing. Oh yes, they would make quite the excellent pair if they won. Would it be bad to start stuffing the ballot box? Maybe. Did she care? Not especially. All of those thoughts were turned out by another warm kiss and eyes looked at Fallon's bright eyes and flushed cheeks.

She'd seen that sort of thing before. A quick sip of her barely-touched punch glass had her throat closing with a choking sound. It was spiked! Oh damn. Her own eyes lit wickedly as she contemplated the offer to dance. Well she'd been determined to get one any way she could and it wasn't really taking advantage of her date's inebriated state.

There were worse things they could do than dance at prom.

Without hesitation a pale hand snagged her dusky one and started dragging her towards the floor. "I thought you'd never ask!" Arms threw themselves around the other girl's neck on the dance floor. "But you have to lead. After all, you have the bigger balls."

--------

The dance floor looked promising. Blake was observant enough to notice that his smokin' date didn't really have much of an idea what to do but he did. Prom wasn't any different than a club most times, other than there were chaperones and the alcohol was all covertly downed rather than open shots at the bar. He'd bet a cool hundred he didn't have that the punch had been spiked within the first twenty minutes of this whole fiasco.

In one of the few gallant moments of his short life, Blake raised both eyebrows comically, kissed the hand of the girl on his arm, and dragged her out towards the dance floor. "Pictures later. You'll wait in line forever and trust me they won't look half as good tomorrow as you think it will tonight. Though you're pretty hot babe, you'll probably melt the camera. Maybe you should go last." Not releasing her hand he spun her once and then back into his arms.

A guy never really got the ladies without having a few moves up his sleeve. Blake had a plethora.

Dropping one hand to Eilian's waist, Fallon did not waist time in leading the girl all over the dance floor. It was more of a polka than a slow dance. "You know, before I became -- well, you know -- I was in the ballroom dance club here. It's funny, I don't even feel like that person was ever who I am or whatever." Her words slurred. Fallon had had too much punch. It loosened the uptight girl to a strange degree.

Coming to the end of a beat, Fallon stopped and dipped Eilian lightly. "Sometimes I think it could be nice just to be like this all the time -- stupid and dancing, stupid and human," she said, spinning the girl off. It was an errant thought -- one she had had before.

Once with Ouranous, Ares had admitted that part of her wished she could just get married and live a simple life -- one that ended with death. If she truly had to make the choice, Ares would never be able to walk away from the battlefield, she knew that, but it was nice to dream. Nice even to do it with Eilian in her arms and they spun across the dance floor.

"It would be lovely to be a royal again!" she said, laughing.

User Image She was still standing next to Kirin, watching people trickle in. The dance floow had exploded into bodies shifting and gyrating. People near the punch bowl seemed to be almost fixtures- how disappointing. "I'll have to give you a call, Kirin," she said finally, taking a step away from the redhead. "I want to go down and take a peek at some things. Come and find me later, okay?" Turning, she moved into the crowd. She really wanted some of that punch, though she didn't relish the thought of having to fight her way through the people gathered there.

She gave Senri a smile as she passed by him, recognizing him as the young man she'd met at the gallery. Ariel got another smile, Jada recognizing her as Spica, the senshi she'd saved and the young woman she'd had joining her for her morning jogs for a time. Adira had a vibrant young man on her hip- literally- and eager to dance, so she continued on instead of stopping to talk. It felt so juvenile in some ways. Not at all like prom was supposed to feel like. But she knew this feeling, the bodies around her, the conversation, the music. It was what she'd grown up with, and it was oddly comforting in its way. "Can you get me some of the punch?" she asked someone closer to the bowl, and he almost jumped to help her. It was reassuring.

She watched the punch ladled into the bowl and took it from the shaking hand of the young man she vaguely recognized as a Hillworth student. "Thanks." she told him and turned her attention away, surveying the crowd. The prom court was going to be announced? She took a sip of her drink, clapping politely as the men were announced. Blake, Lysander, Bodhi she didn't know. Howl was a good kid, FALLON? Jada paused, shoulders shaking with laughter. Fallon had more balls than most men she knew, or Ares did, and Elzo... Hmmm. It would be tough there.

The pause between the men and women being announced allowed her to adjust her grip on her glass of punch. Aurora Namid was a vaguely familiar name, as was Eilian. Her own name coming over the speakers was a surprise, and she almost dropped her punch glass on the floor. Eh? Victoria Collins- wasn't she Audrey's cousin? Audrey had mentioned her once, though she couldn't identify the other woman off the top of her head. Daphne Xanis was the last name. Elzo's girlfriend was Daphne- when had they gotten married? Jada really was out of the loop.

Who had nominated Jada as a member of the prom court? Szelem would be pleased as punch. Maybe enough to briefly excuse Jada's inexcusable lapse in judgment in her return to Destiny City. The heiress caught sight of Fallon and Eilian standing together and was going to approach when they moved onto the dance floor. It was good, because what would she have said to them anyway? Nice party, too bad we don't have more?

Ah well. It was time, it seemed, to go make her votes for Prom Queen and King. She slipped toward the ballot box, trying to make sure she relaxed and enjoyed. "Dance with me?" a stranger asked her after she had placed her votes, and she agreed, going to join the group already on the floor.

Dancing to Glee and Bieber.

Going to Prom was a last minute decision. Morgan had spent the last few weeks complaining and rolling her eyes at every young teenage girl that was running around excited. It was just so juvenile, so teenage. The redhead was almost twenty, in college! She was felt too old for this kind of thing. Yet here she was. It was a spur of the moment decision. Nothing else interesting was going on that night, it seemed like everyone had showed up to prom. Clearly, it was the social event of the season. Prom was the center of the Destiny City universe right now; it was too hard to resist showing up. What else was she going to do? Sit at home alone? Never.

Since the decision was last minute, Morgan didn’t have the time to find a prom outfit. No flowing or poofy dress for her. When Morgan walked through the doors to prom, she was a stark contrast to other girls. Instead of being dressed up in gaudy tulle and chiffon, her outfit was fairly simple with her own added flare. Her dress was a simple off-white Betsy Johnson strapless sheath; it hugged her curves in all the right places. Her earrings were long dangling gold chains with a peacock feather design at the end; a large matching cuff bracelet was on her wrist instead of a corsage. Her shoes were also gold, strappy high heels that made her feel like she was towering over everyone. Her normally lightly curled hair was ironed flat and brushed off to the side; a white feather fascinator was clipped into her hair.

The first thing she noticed about Prom was how elegantly it was put together. The black and gold décor made her smile. She matched, how fortuitous. The music was a surprise for Morgan. She didn’t exactly approve of the choice; it only solidified the thought that Prom was an event for unsophisticated teens. Though Morgan had to admit, the songs were catchy and had a good beat. With a couple drinks, the redhead would be dancing up a storm. It was the tempo that mattered, not the lyrics.

Weaving her way through the crowd, Morgan was looking for a familiar face. What she found instead was a familiar head of hair: dark rich blue. Morgan licked her lips and smiled coyly. Right height, right build, right fashion sense. Senri. Senri who was talking to another girl, clearly younger. Thought Morgan’s connection to Senri didn’t run deep, she was fond of him, and the sight of him talking to the brunette gave her a sharp pain of jealousy. Sliding up behind the two of them, Morgan placed her hand on Senri’s shoulder. Morgan cleared her throat before she spoke, “Senri! I am so glad to see you.”

“Oh hello.” Morgan pretended not to notice Ariel for a moment, but she gave her a fake smile and pretended to be interested in her.

Good to know that they were in agreement - thought he had certainly expected such.

"Yeah, the company is definitively nice." People were starting to take over the dance floor now. Xavier had no intention to dance to Bieber.. Not sober, at least.

Who knew, maybe he would unfortunately hit the spiked punch bowl later and make an a** out of himself.

When the nominations happened. the blonde was actually quite glad that he was nowhere in the running. He definitively didn't want the attention - no, he felt quite happy to just sit back and chatter with Bell.

Could they have done that anywhere else ? Yes. Did he care ? Not at all.

He caught Ariel going along the crowd, then Senri, though it took him a moment to catch the man's name in his mind.

"Too bad about that music... I would kind of have liked to dance, but like hell im dancing to Bieber sober." He let out a laugh.

Devi had been rocking out on the dance floor with all of her sickest dance moves. She did the monkey, the twist, and at one point she even tried to break dance. After apologizing profusely for kicking a girl in the face and breaking her nose, she grabbed another glass of punch and was dancing with more class and tact than ever before.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

She knew that bitches be jealous of her moves. Randomly throughout the night, she found herself shouting out phrases to strangers like, "You just got served!" or "Suck on that, bitches!" During these shout-outs, she occasionally made a few obscene gestures which really only underlined her high level of sophistication that she carried with her throughout the night. As she made her way closer to the center of the dance floor, a familiar face in a beautiful red gown caught her eye.

"Jaaaaaaaaaddddaaaaaaa," Devi cooed as she boogied her way to her friend. As a member of the Blood Moon Court, Jada had been there when Devi needed support. She appeared to be dancing with some boy that she hadn't seen before. Oh well. Devi pushed the boy out of the way and to the floor. Now they weren't dancing, which meant there was nothing to interrupt. Her behavior was nothing but appropriate.

She wrapped her arms around her friend in a hug. She then brought her mouth close to her friend's ear and attempted to whisper, but it came out as more of a slurred yelling. "You're going to thank me, he just wanted to have stick his weewee in your hooha and then say byebye." She then turned her head to the boy. "Well you're not going to ******** her, so beat it!"

She then smiled at her friend, and swayed her hips. It was sort of like dancing. Sort of.

The party was just getting better the more punch Jada danced, and that punch was just delicious. She'd kept it in her hand, at first, and then downed the rest of it when her dance partner's hand found its way to her butt. No longer her hip, where it was socially acceptable, but her butt, which screamed overconfidence or a bet. Slamming the glass down on a tray, she lifted her dance partner's hand up to her hip, firmly planting it there. All was well until she got sidetracked by a stranger walking over to Senri and Ariel, and Devorah Gellner doing the hokey pokey. Apparently, in the Gellner world, one put their left foot in and somehow shook their head all about.

"Jaaaaaaaaaddddaaaaaaa," was her only warning before the hand that had meandered its way down to her other buttcheek was ripped away and Jada's dance partner was abruptly shorter, brunette, and in a dress. Devi wrapped her arms around Jada in a hug, her perfume both slightly cloying and highly toxic. Someone had apparently been hitting a little more of the punch than Jada had.

Normally, Jada would be highly embarrassed by such a scene, but when it spared the heiress from having to do it herself, why not play along? "Thank you?" she told Devi, using a voice that was only a few decibels lower than her friend's. Was the other BMC member actually trying to dance? She couldn't stop the laugh that bubbled up in her throat.

Jada wasn't quite sure where to go with this, so when in Rome... she wrapped her arms around Devi in a return of the hug and danced with her.

Sort of. Maybe Jada herself needed more punch?

Rosa allowed herself to be tugged along, ribbing her friend as she went.

" You know Sydney, by the time we get out of college my grandmother might let you ride one of her bicycles."

Rosa knew Sydney had wanted to drive the car. Heck, Rosa had wanted to drive it since she had first laid eyes on it as a wee little midget, but her grandmother just didn't like others using stuff. Plus she didn't think her grandmother would ever see Rosa and her generation as more then children.

" Grating on nerves? Yeah, it does that, but I'd take a good ol' Rick-roll over the Bieber-Beaver."

At the buffet table, something quickly caught Rosa's eye. " Ooh, cocktail shrimp! You think they've got some hotsauce around here that I could put on them?"

Not the most proper way to eat them, but Rosa didn't care; hotsauce made everything better.

Senri turned around easily at the unexpected intrusion, his own hued eyes flickering in surprise. "As am I." He brought Morgan's hands to his lips for brief moment, and then released it. He settled his introductions with an inclination of his head.

"Ariel, I'll talk to you later." Senri promised with an apologetic smile, his gloved hands settling on Morgan's shoulder to guide her away from the innocent girl. He obviously knew what Morgan was capable of doing, and Ariel was innocent of any charges that Morgan might have thought of her. Her innocence may not have stood up to Morgan's unpleasantness either.

They were in a different area, away from Ariel and the dance floor. Morgan was as beautiful as ever reminding Senri of the reason why he had proposed a brief relationship with her in the past. "Well.." Senri drawled out, "It's good to see you, although I didn't expect to see you here of all places." Senri leaned over, eye level with Morgan. "And as much as I appreciate your entrance, please don't try anything with these girls here." He brushed back a stray lock of his companion's hair, smiling at her as he did so.

Morgan couldn’t help but smile wickedly when Senri kissed her hand. For a brief moment her face was full of pride, her jealousy soothed and replaced with her gloating smile. She had no problem being lead away, comfortably gliding along with Senri. He certainly looked handsome, the handsomest in the room for sure. Or so she thought, whether that was really true or not was unknown. But Senri was handsome, and a model. The notoriety was a huge bonus.

“Polite as always, aren’t you?” Morgan teased, playing up her coquette-ish attitude. “I wasn’t going to come. Turns out the city is dead tonight, seems like everyone is here.” Morgan waved her hand at Senri. “Case in point. I couldn’t resist a good party anyways.”

Morgan watched Senri’s hand raise and brush her hair back. It was a sensation that she positively relished. Partly because she enjoyed his attention and the way he touched her. The other part was because she could feel a few jealous eyes on the pair. That had always been one of Senri’s best points. He was civil and intelligent. In the past they always had great conversations about travel and art. But Morgan liked his fame and looks almost as much.

“Oh please. I wouldn’t dream of it. Since you’re right, they’re just girls. Though that might limit my fun. ” She pouted her lips playfully.

Adira had not really expected Bo to be at the prom, but she chided herself after the fact. Of course he would have gone, with or without her. He was too much of a sociable party hopper to do anything but be in the center of everything. For some reason, it made her a little sad that he would've probably had a fantastic night tonight whether she had managed to show up or not. She wasn't quite sure why that particular notion tugged at her brain, but it did, even as Bo complimented her and tugged her inwards.

"I'm sorry I said no earlier...I hadn't planned on coming. Everything was decided very last minute." Adira smiled and let herself be tugged inwards, though she didn't return the touch. "And you look very blue. But dashing in your own way. Very retro." It wouldn't have fit Bo to wear anything but a powder blue tux, and he would have looked completely out of place in a traditional color.

It wasn't long before she tugged gently out of the embrace. She'd felt bad, just up and leaving the country like she had. And all of sudden the familiar tough of Bo Hanley's oversize hands on her hips felt guilty. Adira had pretty much avoided him, and here he was acting like nothing had ever happened. It made her feel terrible. Prom was a horrible, terrible, no good, very bad idea. "How have you been? Sorry for being...away lately." Between coming home from her trip, and being tumulted unprepared into final examinations and college applications, Adira hadn't had much time for a boyfriend.

Besides all that, she'd heard whisperings from a couple of the crystal girls she knew, that sounded all to similar to Bo's description, and another girl she hadn't ever heard of before. But tonight wasn't the night she was going to try and find out more. Tonight was the night she was going to try and have a little bit of fun! Just like the people going crazy on the dance floor. Though, Adira suspected that had more to do with the punch than with actual 'fun'.

Ariel blushed a little at Senri compliment.
"I am good thank you, and you look pretty good yourself." She showed her glass, "juice for me. I didn't try the punch but I guess it was a good idea" she said while looking at the ones who were drunk apparently.

She saw Jada passing by and gave back a smile to her. She was planning to go talk with her later. Her two-coloured eyes looked back at Senri just in time to see a girl coming on his back. She wondered who she was, but look like they were good friend.

Senri left quickly with her. She didn't really mind, a little amused by the scene."See you later" she just said before they were out of sight and then she moved toward Jada.

Even if he'd been a terrible date due to the circumstances of his actions prior, Marlo liked to think Eve didn't hate him and wasn't going with him out of some sort of obligation. Eve was a nice, polite, and very level headed girl, and apparently, good at keeping Elzo from being completely stupid.
People watching Marlo noticed the woman he'd nominated for king...not..acting quite like he remembered. Quirking a brow at her, he sipped his glass of punch, pausing to make a face as he recognized the taste and burn of alcohol. "Ung, they could have at least tried to mask it.

He kept drinking anyway.

-----------

The sight of Aree, the troubled friend of 'Audrey' put a sad smile on Elzo face when he saw her. She looked...better? Yet worse at the same time. He supposed the fact she'd come out to prom was good enough. She'd never been social if he remembered correctly. He just hopped she was enjoying herself, a head nod sent to her as they passed.

"Let's get a table, some drin-" The punch table had a crowd. The kind of crowd he reconized. "Er, we skip the punch. Maybe grab a snack, and then, we can show them how we like to move it move it."

But then the announcement came on.
Elzo more or less was surprised at the nomination. Then he was scowling just like his brother could have been pouting. "King? Really?" He looked at Daphne. "Don't they know how much work it requires to be king? And besides, I have my princess and queen alre-" Woah back up. Some one had elected Daphne as well. At that Elzo laughed. "Never mind, I think so long as you were my queen, I could be king." A kiss to her lips, and Elzo was purring. "Shall we dance?"

Bicycles. Sydney furrowed her eyebrows. Bicycles? Her eyes turned blank as her mind briefly zoned out, shuffling through the multiple memories filled with Rosa’s grandmother, which were filled with lots of variations of “Don’t touch this” and “Get away from that.” She imagined dinky bicycles with creaky wheels and she was ready to start a cue cueing session.

“Your grandmother is a cruel, cruel woman.” She pouted. “Out of college and only bicycles?”

Once arriving at the snack table she made a beeline for the drinks, but someone leaned over. “I wouldn’t take that if I were you. I think someone spiked the drinks.”

A hand inched towards the ladle and punch bowl, half-tempted to take a curious sip, but Sydney forced herself to move over towards the chips instead. She popped a Pringle into her mouth as she looked at Rosa. “What’s wrong? Bieber fever too hot for you?” she teased in between bites.

Her ears perked at the mention of shrimp. “Shrimp? Where?” She moved her gaze left and right, searching the table for the hailed seafood. “Wait, with hot sauce? Ew.” If there was one type of food she disliked it was spicy foods, hands down. “Can’t we just like, sprinkle the shrimp on some cake?” Not exactly pleasing, but the frosting would make it all better.

Bo's level of happiness rose exponentially to see Adira here, regardless of the circumstances. "Sorry? Never sorry," he said, grinning at her as if her presence was not a surprise at all. When she commented on his tuxedo, he took a step back and popped his color. "My dad wore this to his prom forever ago, if you believe it. It is legit retro."

The hesitance in the girl didn't seem to register with Bo. Yes, Adira had more or less left without much warning, but Bo had never been good about taking relationships seriously, even if Adira was very special to him. There was a part of him who hoped he could have something more with her, but old habits died hard. He would always love Chronos and be unable to fully love anyone else. It was unavoidable.

But Adira was back now. That was what mattered. Bo stepped back into her, invading her space again. "I've been awesome," he said. Did he ever answer with anything else? "I hope your trip was nice. We should dance -- want to take a spin around the room?" It was as if she had never been gone. Bo could drop it and pick it back up, just like that. Right now, he just wanted to go back to the happy days they had had before, no need to focus on anything else.
