The crow shivered, even as he was placed in the comfort of warmth, whether it was Ludo's arms or the softer couch. The mystic creature was long gone in consciousness, unable to hear but silent murmurs of the world around him before hearing nothing at all. Corvus fet as if he were fading in and out of consciousness with the will to stay alive and the need to go to sleep. He did not feel pain any longer when he awoke. Upon his awakening, he saw that he was indeed alive, but as a bird, perched atop a wrecked, old and wooden beam. With its mis-coloured eyes, the crow peered out to the smaller part of teh town and flew off, scouting the area for bits of food or beetles to eat. Humans were such messy creatures, it did not take long for him to find a nice pile of old crumbs and a half-eaten sandwhich some human must have thrown. The bird cawed to its cousins that flew about in the light sky, encircling around an area. The crow hopped about before beginning his flight again.

Corvus flew for what was hours to a small creature like he. He came across some familiar structures but teh bird could not place note on them. The small-brained bird sat upon a familiar sill and pecked at it, as if awaiting an answer. It shifted in its place before pecking again at teh window. When no answer came, Corvus felt ratehr disappointed. He had expected someone to come for him and couldn't understand quite why. The bird retraced its steps. It was as if moments ago it was hiding about in the alleyways before feeling imense pain, but the bird awoke perfectly fine on a differnt side of town.

Swooping down to the last place the black fey could remember, it hopped about along the rocks of gravel. Finding its way into the crevice between buildings, it hopped about until it found a small crawl space for it to get through. Along teh way, it ate the spiders that lived there, some long dead. Teh bird came out of a space in a small closet, only halfway shut. Corvus expanded his wings to fly and hover into the other rooms. It came across a bloody sight; a dead man, a sleeping man, and a pile of inky-black featehrs scattered all about a piece of furniture The bird hopped quietly, not wanting to disturb. It pecked the dead body, eating bits of the softest parts first, likes the eyes. Corvus shook his feathers before nesting himsel on the floor. Perhaps an answer would come fi he waited in the familiar place, or if he understood human speech. That would be so much better for the little crow.

Ludovich~Arneson

It takes two to murder

Ludovich's eyelids flickered open as he heard a soft tapping noise. Dark brown orbs then carefully started to scan the room he was in. It was dark with only a few streams of the outside light leaking in through random cracks. Ludovich found himself a tad confused by this, but it soon became clear as he caught the stench of death in his nostrils. This was where he had gone with Corvus after finding him bleeding in an alleyway. He had come in here, killed the man, and then had set Corvus on the c-

He was gone. The only thing on that cough were some of his inky black feathers. Worry filled his eyes at the sight and he quickly pushed himself up. He had to find him. He had to figure out where he'd gone. "Corvus? Are you here," he called out, just to gain no response.

Ludovich panicked a tad at this and started to search the house, flicking on lights as he did so. Where could he have gone? Had he been taken or had he wandered off? Was he healed again or was he still injured? Panicked thoughts like this ran through his head as he searched each room for his friend.

Each room he went in was empty, just like the last, causing Ludovich's worry to increase every second. It was then that he caught something move in the living room.

Ludovich froze for a moment and just stared before carefully moving forward. He inched forward cautiously before finally spotting what had been moving: a crow. Relief washed over the man's features at the sight and he carefully moved over to the bird. "You worried me sick Corvus..."

((I missed you too~! *huggles back* We're still trying to get internet on other computers and failing TwT ))

The crow pitter-pattered about. The human it saw seemed to be in panic before coming across him. Corvus tilted his little head before taking a few hops back. The words he spoke, they were recognizable, but the little crow could not understand. He was caught between recollections and forgot. The bird merely stared at the other for a while. It picked at its feathers in its wing, ad Corvus took flight, landing on the pile of feathers.
The crow concluded the feathers were his own, but how could he have made such a mess? He cawed loudly in alarm and took flight again, continuing his out-of-tune cries before landing on a table. H was unsure as to what had happened or why his feathers were in this vaguely familiar place. Perhaps if he followed the human, he would get his answer?
The crow flew towards a window and pecked at the glass. Maybe if he left and waited, he could follow the other in hopes of remembering something. This kind of ambition he knew was an oddity for even his kind.

Ludovich~Arneson

It takes two to murder

Ludovich frowned some as the little bird cawed at him and flew about. He had hoped for the other to transform back into his human self, so that he could see that he truly was alright.

The young man was about to ask him do exactly that when he saw the light streaming through the blinds. Ah, that was right. The sunlight hurt his eyes. Well, he supposed that he could wait.

"We'll go back home in a moment, but I have to clean up first okay," Ludovich said before starting to clean up the mess that he made. Two bags were grabbed with sleeve covered hands so that he would have some sort of gloves. He then set about to vacuuming, dusting, and mopping the room that they had been in.

Once he was finished with his cleaning, the man was left, sitting on his couch in a perfectly clean room. Ludovich smiled some at the sight before turning his head to the crow. "Alright, let's go home before somebody comes by," he said before exiting the house through the alleyway.

Ludovich rushed home, not wanting to be spotted anywhere nearby his home. Once there, he quickly disposed of the bag via incineration before finally allowing himself to relax.

((I haz internet on my computer~ So I can hopefully post quiker, but I'm afraid my posts may become very short for a while T.T ))

Corvus took a step or so back. He understood the human's speech, but he couldn't comprehend... The young man began to go around, cleaning up the place, fixing the corpse, and other things. The bird lost interest and began to fly short distances along the house to busy itself.

When the young man had finished his tasks, the crow had began to follow him as he seemed to be talking to him again. Through the alley was a strange way to exit a home. The crow had observed humans enough to know that what had happened was something bad. Nevertheless, Corvus followed the human. He still thought it was odd he recognized this human. Not only that, feathers with his scent were all over the place.

Reaching the young man's home, Corvus perched upon the couch arm, it seemed natural to do so. He began to caw loudly, his wings began to ruffle. Cawing, Corvus hopped off and continued to caw at seemingly nothing.

Ludovich laid down on his couch before turning to look at the crow. Corvus seemed to have the same ADD issue he usually did when he changed into a bird. He was going around hopping and cawing at random, causing Ludovich to smile. He was so happy to see that he was healthy enough to do so.

The contract killer lay on the couch for a bit longer, just watching him, before hearing his stomach grumble. At this, the young man carefully rose from his seat and moved to the kitchen, where he grabbed a sandwich and a bag of sunflower seeds. He then carefully dumped some of the seeds onto the ground before sitting back down and resuming his watch of the crow.

The crow stopped its nonsensical caw only to watch the human go about. Corvus was grateful for the seeds, but as he pecked away at them something began to feel somewhat different. These seeds weren't poisoned, were they? The bird, sat upon his perch of the chair's arm before falling to it's side in a paralyzed state. The black bird upon impact seemed to poof into a pile of feathers. Corvus' consciousness seemed to have been gone for sometime, but he began to awaken at the a familiar sight. He recognized the dark house he was in from before and could recall the terrible events from the serial killer before. His wounds seemed to have healed, but he still felt a pang in each closed slit where he was stabbed.

Corvus looked about and did not see Ludovich. He was wildly confused and quite worried. He searched about and could not find Ludovich anywhere. It was already daytime and he wondered for how long had he been asleep.

Corvus phased though the walls into the very familiar alley and tried to find his way through the streets back to his companion's home. Finally coming across the building he was searching for, the crow-fey went through the wall into the main living room of Ludovich's home.

Ludovich smiled as the crow pecked away at the seeds before suddenly seeing the crow fall to the ground.

Brown eyes widened at the sight and Ludovich quickly pushed his food to the side and moved over to the bird. "Corvus? Corvus, are you alright," he asked in a panicked fashion before noticing that the bird had become nothing more than feathers. Ludovich stared in horror at this and felt himself start to shake a bit. How could this have happened? Just moments ago he had been fine. Had it been something he'd done or was it because the other had been worse than he'd thought? Either way it didn't really matter. Corvus was gone. His protector, friend, and mate was dead and he was alone...again.

Tears started streaming down his cheeks at this realization and he quietly picked up what was left of the other. "I'm sorry, Corvus," the brunette muttered as he looked them over.

Corvus walked about the house, looking for Ludovich. He caught the faint image of Ludovich. He knelt beside him, his heart breaking at the sight he saw. Why was he crying so terribly? Corvus touched him but his fingers simply faded through him. He shivered and tried again. His hand could not touch him. The fey began to panic. He wanted so badly to hold the other, wipe away his tears.

The crow sat on the cold floor. Everything around seemed to be misty and thick. As he had sat, the feathers on the ground blew over. Corvus tilted his head. He wasn't here, was he? He recognized the inky feathers as his own and pushed another one. They seemed to be connecting to him still. The fey smiled softly before pushing another feather gently. He picked it up and softly touched the fur of the feather to Ludovich's face, soaking up the tears he had made.

The crow may not be able to touch him, but he was still there.

Ludovich continued looking down, just crying his eyes out before suddenly feeling something brush against his cheek. The brunette wiped his tears away a bit at this before turning his head. "H-Hello," he muttered, just to find himself staring at an empty room. Ludovich frowned some at this before looking back down to the feathers.

Slender fingers lightly moved them around for a moment before picking one up and scooting over to his side table. There he lightly pulled over a memento box and opened the lid.

Inside there were a few little odds and ends, all of which reminded him of a good times. There was a bead that his sister had worn in her hair and there his mother's wedding ring and now Corvus' feather was placed front and center.

Ludovich stared at the feather for a bit. The sight made him feel a little better, but not enough to keep a few more tears from falling from his eyes. The little feather couldn't fill the hole that had appeared inside of him. It couldn't stop him from feeling empty. After all, Corvus was gone.....

Corvus sighed. He hated seeing Ludovich this way. But it seemed there was nothing he could do. He merely hovered around him, a phantom stalking its only connection to the world. The crow was terribly confused as to why he could not even touch his mate. Every touch would just fade through as if he wasn't even there. Eventually the nightfall came. He pried himself away from his depressed friend in hopes to see his favourite stars.

The night was darker than usual. Corvus couldn't see the stars at all. There were no clouds, but there were no stars. He tried to fly to the roof but had only fallen back to the ground after a leap. He sat on the ground before laying onto the gravel he no longer felt. He was slipping out of consciousness, but had not fallen asleep for quite a while, unable to find any peace after seeing Ludovich so terrible.

The crow began to caw and panic. He saw nothing but darkness all around him and he flapped his wings as hard as he could. The small space was confining. Finally, there was light coming from the edges of the darkness. The crow fluttered about, cawing for its freedom. Breaking out of that darkness, it flew about the room. The box it was trapped it fell to its side, its contents sprawled in the area. Corvus landed on the railing of the stairs, ruffling his feathers and smoothing them out again from the fiasco that had gone on moments ago. The black bird stayed there, pecking out the little bits of dust or other remnants in his feathers and wings.

Ludovich~Arneson

It takes two to murder

Ludovich laid on his couch and stared silently for a moment, just letting the last bit of tears out before falling asleep. Ludovich laid there quietly for awhile with just a bit of stirring. He was suddenly awakened though by a loud caw and the sound of something crashing to the ground.

The young man jumped up at this and looked around before his sight landed on a black bird, who was cleaning itself on his railing. Ludovich stared at it for a bit, not sure what to think of the sight. Could it be that Corvus was back or was this just some other bird?

The brunette stared at it for awhile before frowning. Despite how much he wished it was his mate, he knew it couldn't be. He'd seen Corvus disappear with his out eyes. He was dead and gone and there was no use getting his hopes up again, just find that this was just some other black bird. No, he refused to do something like that. Not only would it hurt himself, but it would be an insult to Corvus. Ludovich, thus, approached the crow and waved it away. "Get out. I don't want you here," the brunette said with a deep frown as he tried to get the creature to leave his home.
