Riley was going to need a bit of reminding as to why she chose Nuk for the job, after all of this. Nuk would not need any further reminding of why he should be serious, however.
All right, back to me. She snapped the attention back to her, and put her arm around Nukpana. I want you all to understand that you are not at the same level of fitness, and therefore you must not use the machines before they are modified to your level. However, if you play it safe, and you come often, I guarantee you will see results. No matter who you are. Take Nukpana here, for example.
It looked like she was about to stroke his ego further. She lifted her hand off of him, and circled him as she spoke.
He's a strong boil. Could probably take you down in a fight. I wouldn't test it. He's got the upper body structure, and he knows how to handle himself. He's bigger than me, he has more muscle, and he works out regularly.
She stopped moving once she stood to his left.
He could probably take me, right?
Uh oh.

Oh! There was Malodore! Junko grinned and turned to wave back at him, happy to see the plague doctor was also involved in this. He wasn't here to work out like them though? How lucky of him. Junko briefly wondered if maybe she could just ask Riley if she could take care of, like, laundry and clothes. Yes, she could do that. She enjoyed doing that, even! A wary glance was cast toward some of the machines they would be using as Riley brought them up again, her smile falling into a small frown. She really didn't see herself getting stronger, not at all. Wait, what about Nukpana? Junko gave Riley and Nuk her full attention again, puffing her cheeks and making a very mature face right back at him. Yeah, Junko...that's...totally how you fight a bully. Stupid puffy duck faces.
Totally.
When that was done she watched Riley circle him like a shark that had just found its prey, some of her hair raising like a curious canine's ears. Ooooh? Ohohoh! This was Riley! This had to be a test, a trick question. She wouldn't be making a show like this if she wasn't sure she could beat Nuk, right? That just didn't seem Riley's style. Junko grinned and tried really hard not to say anything. "Five seeds on the lady." Junko blurted out, giggling after and for once not apologizing for what she'd just said. Her, Junko, not The Mistress. She had said it all of her own accord. As much as she trusted Nukpana was a strong fighter she just knew Riley wouldn't do this if she wasn't sure she would win whatever she was about to do to him. If this had been Nukpana versus say...herself? Or maybe even Shehk? Or Astra over there? He'd certainly be the winner, she was sure of that.

"Hey..." Nuk protested, making another face, this one decidedly disgruntled at the implication that he had ever been scrawny. Ok, so he had been the runt of his family of about a billion older brothers and had been mercilessly teased and abused and so what if he'd bulked up because of that sole fact. So he had been scrawny for a good portion of his life. He wasn't about to admit it. As if to counter this, he folded his arms across his chest, showing off pretty much the only attribute he had as Riley circled him, getting an increasingly disturbing sense that this was not going to end well, but unable to pinpoint it. He was even more bewildered as the demoness complimented him, giving her a confused look before her words started to sink in, a slowed sense of realization.
Oh.
Oh hells bells.
"Uh..."
This... was not going to end well. For him, anyway. It was true, he worked out, but there was a reason he had joined Fitness and not N.A.P -- that reason being he had no interest in being pitted against Riley for much of anything. There was definitely a reason why SHE was heading Fitness, and it was by no means only because she happened to be a good leader. There was no doubt she was strong, quick, and a more-than-formidable opponent.
"It's never that easy, if only it was that easy," he muttered to himself in response to her question. It never was.

Oh, Junko. Riley chuckled at the ghoul's bid, but shook her head. No bets. She nudged Nukpana with her shoulder as he tensed up. There's one thing about you that I've always liked, Nukpana. She murmured privately - only he could hear it. You're very clever.
Then she turned to the whole class, and held a hand out. The answer is that we would have a rousing spar, which I readily look forward to at some point in the future. And I can assure you I would be quite a match for him. Why? I do not take these words lightly. The only reason I know that I can handle myself in a fight is because I spend time in this gym every day. I am out there running every day. Excuses don't work on me.
She walked the length of the group, up and down.
Oh, I have a tummy ache. Oh, my back hurts. Oh, I'm sleepy. This last word she said with such venom, the students would think they could almost taste actual acidity on their tongues. She stopped, and swiveled her ankle slightly to stand directly in front of them. Her eyes drifted to Aksaja - who, funny enough, was asleep right now. She rolled her eyes and continued.
When you're faced with an enemy, and he's ready to strike - he won't stop because you're sleepy. And neither will I.
Her little speech was at an end, and she gestured to Christof with her chin. Time to get the goods.
All right, now we get to the good stuff. Competition. Normally, what we do in this club is not for competition's sake - however, some of you may know that we do have a rival club. It is, of course. N.A.P.
Her chest rose and fell quickly in a sigh. A few of you are members of that group, but the majority of you are not. Which is good, because we're going to need you come next week.
When she held out her hand, a paintball gun was placed in it. It came from Christof, who'd opened up the supply closet to get what he knew she needed.
This is a paintball gun. It is your job to shoot this gun at the N.A.P. club members in a maze. There's a lot more to the game, but we won't be getting into the rules until the day of the game. Today's Orientation is about one thing, and one thing only.
She held up the gun, with one hand, aimed, and shot - a paintball hit the wall behind them. It would be difficult, if not impossible to see what she had just shot, unless one looked close enough and watched the now paint-covered fly slowly sliding down the wall.
We're going to have some target practice.

Bul noted the plague doctor's presence and had very little doubt for some reason of his capabilities. Better have someone that at least sounded like they knew what they were doing than nobody at all! Having spent very little time in a public gym and more on his own, Bul would find that the confides of the club would be a lot different than his room.
'No falling asleep in the sauna'
The half beast grew weary looking.. almost devastated at this warning. If he could get one installed in his room he very damn well would.
Riley then wielded a paintball gun and Bul's attention returned. It looked well... best described as Bad. a**. Unfortunately being stilt legged and flashy red, Bul would be an incredibly easy target if not for his speed. Still, it didn't mean he was any bit advantageous. NAP club members could possibly be more alert than he, having been well rested.

The dirty look Christof had given him did not get past Jericho. Narrowing his eyes at the Igor, he just took his place on the floor when Riley called for it and was pretty silent while she gave her speech on what the club was all about and such. When she mentioned him as being one of the trainers, he raised his hand a bit for those who weren't familiar with who the dragon was.
He just kinda nodded along with what she had to say, and his eyes lit up a bit when she was bringing up the paintball gun and target practice.
Ah, things were about to get exciting here then. While he and Riley got to play with them some, it was hard to say who of the rest of the group had ever handled a paintball gun before. It would be good for everyone to get some practice before they have their competition against NAP.

Also happy to see the plague doctor, Astra turned to wave at him too, knowing that if she got hurt, mal would be the best to go to. She then listened to the talk about fitness and the comparison about riley and nuk, and she thought about her own level of fitness. She considered herself to be healthy and fit, since she spent much time flying and walking about to get to places.
Then...they were introduced to their first task. Paint guns, to be exact. This..was looking interesting, yet it left the fairy very conflicted. She might be good at pant ball as it required speed and brains over brute force. She just hoped that she would be able to use the gun properly

The grin on Sammy's face, could not have been any bigger then it was now. Paintball guns? Sweet blissful paint slinging chaos making fun. Up till now Riley had been very tight lipped on the paintball guns, not letting Sammy near even a single one so to finally see them and know they would be starting with target practice sent a happy little shiver down her spine.
Of course she paused glancing towards Shehk, she didn't seem like the kind that needed to be shot at, then again, she was almost sure Nuk would make a lovely human shield for her... probably both of them if Sammy just stood behind Shehk while he took the paintballs for Shehk.
Leaning over to Jericho Sammy whispered into his ear from just behind him, "Twenty pumpkin seeds, you let me ride on your back as a dragon while we rain painted death from the skies."

Noticing Christof waving at her, she warily waved back; her impression of the Patchwork was... Well, dropping. However, Amrita... She seemed to like him well enough despite everything, so Lizzy found no reason to really dislike him either.
A few things went through her mind as she listened to Riley give her speech; while she looked like she had totally blanked out, she was actually listening. Really. She was just a little worried that the Mindflayer might be mad at her for being late, and had went from a nervous expression to a blank one. Her cheeks reddened in color at the mention of Jericho being one of the instructors.
Right... So other than Jericho, there are two others. Nuk is that boil who entered the elections to be public relations officer for a ghoul, if she remembered correctly. Plus points. Sammy is that spunky ghoul who, after being insulted by a certain two demons in that very first Sex-ed class, had fought back. Plus points... Although she hoped that the undead wouldn't mind her, since she's a demon and all... Great, now she's nervous all over again.
Her eyes remained on Riley even as she called Nuk up, determined to not miss out on any important information concerning the club. So far, the important points seemed to be connected to... A paintball game, not being alone in the room (for obvious safety reasons) and Malodore being the club's doctor. Hopefully, she didn't miss anything!
She was so focused on listening that she missed Astra coming towards her until the fae spoke. She sat up straight from surprise before turning to the ghoul, offering her a small smile; she didn't have a very good impression of her... Trying to sneak around Jericho's room? Nope, not a good way to make a good impression at all.
"Hey Astra," She nodded to return the greeting, her voice lowered, "Its good to see that you're well." That's the truth; while she doesn't like her, she doesn't dislike her either.
When she heard the words 'target practice', she immediately returned her attention to Riley, eyes widened with mild excitement. This... This is awesome! A little scary, since she had never used a gun before (even the fake, arcade ones...) but fairly exciting!

Christof had been thrilled to hurry from his seat to get the demanded gun, offering it over to his Mistress reverently, as though any moment it would explode in a mess of paint and plastic shrapnel. He hadn't had a chance to look over the odd device, but the springs and triggers and fiddly plastic bits all were fascinating. Any other accessories she might have needed for her demonstration he gingerly dropped on the floor behind her readily.
At the sudden shot to the wall, the hunchback flinched, still hovering beside his Mistress. Oh. Er. So that's what they were for.
He wondered if he should have concentrated on finding some sharper eyes before this game. Probably would have been a good idea.
Should I go get more guns, Mistress? He mentally whispered.

Damien indeed felt as new around here as the purple ghoul pointed out, feeling quite sheepish about his outburst, he proptly clamped his mouth shut and went back to listening. He gave a slight wave to the Doctor sitting by itself over there. it was nice to know there would be someone looking out for them during their workouts.
The hounds eyes lit up at the thought of a game being played with this group, his tail twitching back and forth in barely restrained excitement. Workouts and firearms, what a gem this place was!

Altair raised an eyebrow as Riley called Nuk to the front, wondering if they'd see the mindflayer lay him out to make a point. He was more than mildly disappointed when she did not, though watching Nuk splutter was amusing in itself.
The incubus half-listened to Riley's speech, his horns tilted back a little, mostly only picking up the bit about the paintball game. Well at least that would be entertaining. He could shoot Nuk in the butt and say it was a misfire.
He sat up a little straighter at the mention of target practice, but only because the thwack of the paintball into the wall startled him. It had whizzed mere inches away from his right ear.
Wrinkling his nose, the demon got to his feet. He'd have some target practice, all right...

Mot liked this Nuk guy even more as he seemed to dig himself a bigger hole of trouble. He watched him squirm with an amused expression. Sure, he could be worried about him, but he was a big boil who could handle himself. Though he was also forming a larger degree of fear and respect for Riley, who's words could sometimes pierce the mind like a dagger.
Mot looked back to regard the doctor, a worried expression forming as his lips formed a tight line. That was a doctor? Kind of pointy to be a doctor. Either way, Riley seemed to trust him. Who was he to judge? Mot returned his attention to the lecture.
And then, the moment of truth. Riley soon was in the possession of a paintball gun, and Mot's grin was clearly expressing glee beyond glee. Guns. Now we're talking. His head whipped behind him as Riley shot, lifting his hood to see what she had hit.
A fly. Dead on.
He turned again and flashed another grin, pointing at Riley with a finger-gun approvingly. "Nice shootn', Ace."

Shehk grinned.
"Here I was hoping you two would go at it and I'd get to kiss the winner." she mused. It wasn't like the Pricolici wanted to kiss Riley (though she would if it happened), but she knew how much Nukpana was motivated by such offers. Never the less, it seemed that the reasoning behind the paintball equipment was revealed soon enough, Shehk's brows raising at the dead-on-shot from the mindflayer.
"Nice!" she praised it in that single word, before sighing and settling in to make herself just a little bit more comfortable. Rivalry, huh? Shehk's club activities thrived on the idea of rivalry, a grin forming across the Pricolici's features without an ounce of doubt that she was going to have a lot of fun with the idea.
"I'm down with target practice, definitely."

Any smirking as a result of Junko's blushing was short lived as they were all summoned to the front of the room, and he happily followed behind Junko and took a seat between her and Bul. Red eyes trained on the demon standing before them giving introductions and instructions.
He listened quietly as she spoke, paying attention to where things were and whom she was talking about. Specifically the patchwork, Christof she'd called him, considering he'd be the one they'd go to for anything they might need.
It wasn't until the subject of paintball cropped up that the hungry ghost got excited. Sure, he was keen for the club to get rolling, but the idea of a paintball match was just, well, awesome. He sat up a little straighter as Riley brought out the paintball gun, turning to grin at Bul before looking back up at the purple demon and her weapon. This would be Epic, nuff said.
Of course, Yaya and her boil were both in the nap club.. Snorting softly, he leaned down to whisper in Junko's ear. "We'll be playing against Yaya and Sharra."
Then Riley spoke the two little words Seiji had been hoping she'd said since she'd mentioned the match. 'Target Practice.' "Killer." Ah ya, he was stoked.
