Beth looked through the book and found the next skill. It was pretty simple, covering her hands with watery gloves. Beth began to focus on her ki, forcing it into the water. She stuck her hands in the water and pulled them out. When she pulled up her hands, she saw they were coated in water. They were pretty useless, but it was a new skill. [1/1]

As she turned the page, Beth let out a sigh of disappointing. The next skill was a pair of boots, just like the gloves. Beth performed the same steps as before, only in her feet. She lifted her feet, and saw they had water boots. [1/1]

Beth neared the end of the section on stage 1. The next skill involved launching a large triangular object in a projectile manor. She read up on how to perform the skill, and got ready to get to work on trying it out herself. [1/2]
Beth started by lifting a ball of water into the air. She focused her chi to compact it into a dense, hardened triangle. Next, Beth forced her hand forward, sending the triangle launching across the beach. [2/2]
With her training in stage 1 finished, Beth fell on her back, catching herself on a soft pad of water. As she floated on her makeshift raft, she sighed with satisfaction, "Ah, almost time for my advancement test".

As Fenrir walked across the beach he just narrowly avoided a condensed ball of water. "What the hell?" he growled under his breath and glanced around for the person who threw it. Some distance away he saw Elizabeth, the headphones girl as far as he could remember. "Hey! Watch it!"

Beth saw someone off in the distance. He seemed to saying something, but was too far away to read his lips. She smiled and waved at the boy, "Hello to you too!" she said in a cheerful tone.

Fenrir begrudgingly turned away from Elizabeth and followed Elise to a wide opened spot on the sand where they could train comfortably. "Alright, you first. We never actually get to your training so you can take the first lesson."

Beth suddenly sprang to her feet. She began to create water gloves over her hands and boots over her feet. She then focused her ki into the water. [1/3]
She began to focus her ki on further molding the gloves and boots into a hardened, smoother glove. She punched them together, and they remained perfectly solid. [2/3]
Beth then focused on extending solid spike shapes from the ends of the gloves. Once the spikes had formed, she flattened them into blades. [3/3]
Beth began to practice punching and slashing with the gloves, then got the idea to try it with her style. She formed boots with blades, then flipped on her hands. Not thinking this through all the way, Beth's head became submerged in the water. She lost balance and fell backwards into the water, coughing as she sat back up.

Elise suddenly dashed towards Fenrir, keeping low to the sandy ground, but also keeping watch of his Phantom Feint. When she was close enough, Elise attempted a quick leg sweep, attempting to trip the man before she would climb onto him and attempt the Grip of Paralysis for the first time.
