I had a nightmare...The Wolf eating The RavenAmara VirtanenEntrails of life on my plate...And I ate 'em..

Sitting silently and listening to the young man, Amara was caught off guard as he snatched the bone mask from her face. Shocked, the woman quickly brought her hands up to hide her face. She was seething with rage as she turned her head away from him, reaching back in an attempt to snatch up the mask. "H-How dare you?! Give that back to me right now! Nobody see's me without this mask! Nobody!" She moved around so much that the woman dropped her violin case to the ground.
"Grant me a wish, my master
Compassion, please
I'd like to be a human
...maybe one day

Dante saw the woman without the mask, and raised an eyebrow. He had seen pretty women before, but they all were the same type of 'high maintenance' pretty. Amara looked more of a natural 'I get up like this in the morning' pretty. Upon her freaking out, he complied completely. As her hand flailed around, she would find the mask back in her hand. As he saw the violin case fall, he reacted instinctively. Dipping a foot into a nearby crevice, he swung himself over the rock, barely managing to catch the violin case. He hung there for a moment, suspended by one leg. Uh... yeah. can't get back up. Wanna help a brother out?" Dante asked hopefully, extending his free hand upwards.

Grabbing the helmet, Amara put it back on quickly before turning and looking at him. Her eyes were cold and emotionless, but only for a moment. She noticed him hanging off the rock holding her violin case. If anything happened to that, she would be in trouble. Music is what kept her calm, and now she would have to play since she felt herself getting a headache.
Reluctantly, Amara grabbed his hand and helped Dante back up onto the rock. Of course, she snatched the violin case away afterwards and popped it open. The woman took out the old violin and bow and stayed silent for a few minutes before looking back to Dante.
"Don't do that again...I don't like it when my mask is removed." She shut her eyes tightly, as if in pain and reached a hand up to rub her forehead beneath the helmet. "Damn...It's coming back..." Amara cradled the violin between her shoulder and her chin before raising up the bow. The woman placed the bow gently on the strings and began playing a song called Haha Pandora.

Dante nodded. "My bad. Didn't know taking off the mask would bother you so much. Didn't wanna get ya all riled up and all that." He said. As soon as the woman began playing the violin, he stopped talking and listened intently. Strangely enough, this was one of the few violin pieces he actually liked. The man listened quietly until Amara had finished playing the song. "Kinda rude of me to go snatchin' up a ladies mask without even sayin' my name. The name's Dante." The big man said once she had finished the song.

"Dante? A brutish name for a brutish man." That was Amara's little insult. She took a deep sigh and put the violin away, snapping the case shut. She returned it to her lap before looking to Dante. "My name is Amara Virtanen. Answer me a question Dante, what is it you hope to accomplish here? Are you here simply to fight and kill? Or are you here for something more?"

Dante thought for a moment. Why would he only be here simply to fight? After a moment, the dark skinned man answered. "I enjoy fighting. But no, i'm not here to only fight. I always wanted something... bigger ya know? All my life, I been fightin' to get what I wanted. Then I get a letter from some high up named mr. Akasun. My boys were happy for me, so I figured i'd come." He said, gazing far off. A few moments afterwards he added, "Now answer two questions for me. Why do you wear a mask, and why are you here?"

"Both answers are exceedingly simple to answer. However, they will not be simple to attain. I wear the mask because I dislike the reflection that stares back at me. I cannot trust the person who looks back at me. Do you know what it's like when you cannot trust yourself? I can assure you that it isn't a easy feeling to deal with. As to why I am here? To hopefully figure out why I cannot remember anything past the last year. To find out where I come from, why I cannot remember, and hopefully find out why I fear myself so much." Amara took a deep breath and glanced at Dante again.
"What is this bigger thing you wish to attain? Fame? Fortune? That would seem like a common goal for someone like you."

Dante nodded, listening to the girl while she spoke. "No. Can't say I don't know what it's like to not be able to trust myself. One person in life you got to trust is yourself. Otherwise, you can't trust no one." He said. When she asked him what he meant by something bigger, he responded by raising an eyebrow and saying, "What do you mean, somebody like me? You know what they say, 'don't judge the book by the cover." The man said defensively.

"No, you shouldn't. But you are no book and stereotypes are based on truth." She rose a brow to him in a coy fashion. Though he wouldn't be able to see it. "I just wonder what you would be after. I rather enjoy knowing what my enemies want. I told you what I wanted without speaking in riddles, you should offer me the same courtesy after removing my mask without asking." She stared at Dante with her cold blue eyes once more.

Dante thought for a moment. "Look, I didn't mean to piss you off or nothin' like that when I took off your mask. I was just kinda wondering what you'd look like without it. Next time, i'll ask. As for what i'm here for, i'm not gonna lie. Part of it's the fights. I mean, I love fights. The second part is adventure. It's the one thing I love as much, if not more than fights and music. I've never been outside the city I lived in, and I get a chance to go visit an island? I was all 'sign me up!'" He said with a chuckle at the end, ignoring the cold stare.

"You do realize this is more than likely a death trap do you not? Are you ready to die for adventure?" She ignored him speaking about seeing her without her mask. Amara was the type where she would much rather act like it never happened.
"Why else would a bunch of fighters be summoned to one island? Oh, and there is something called...Gene-X...Posters were plastered on everyone's dorms. A shot that alters your DNA to give you supernatural abilities? It all seems too fishy to me.."

Dante's face became blank for a moment while he thought. "Why would it be a death trap? What does Mr. Akasun have to gain from killing all of us off? I mean,you right about gene X though. It sounds pretty below the shelf and all. But, anything terrific like this has to come wit a price doesn't it? And anyways, We already trapped on the island now. No point in regrettin' it." He said. As he said this, he looked out into the sky in front of him.

"If I knew the answer I would confront him myself. But I do not. All I know is we all got a letter to go to school. A school it is, but also a trap. The only way off is through the boat. Leave the school and you run into Mr. Akasun's creatures and they will rip you apart. Sounds like a death trap to me. I am not regretting though. I simply want to be weary, cautious, and make sure others are the same. The Physical Education teacher suspects about sixty percent of the students will end up dying. Those are not good odds." Amara let out a light yawn as she sat there.

Dante would've appeared shocked, had the dark tinted glasses not been covering her eyes. After a moment he spoke. "Sixty percent? No, I don't like that idea. But when we all get stronger, i'm sure the animals won't be a problem. But still... sixty percent. Wonder if the stronger ones are gonna group together, like in the movies." He said quietly. As he did so he began fiddling with his necklace, and stopped as soon as he caught himself doing it.

"Most people are already grouping together it would seem. They wish to make as many friends as possible. There is only one person here that I am weary of at the moment. And even now since I have not seen him much since our landing, he does not seem to pose much of a threat. However, that could also be a grave miscalculation on my part. I do not wish to be part of the sixty percent that dies without knowing what happened. Such a death would be most...unpleasing..."
