Jack simply and unapologetically shrugged his shoulders. Snickering, he said, "Didn't force you to go. I could have easily handled myself. Iv'e taken on tougher groups of gangs before, I don't think genetically advanced savages would present much of a threat to me....Appreciate you coming though". Jack smiled. He practically lived for this sort of stuff. Though he wouldn't admit to anyone, as much as he loves silence and peace, he absolutely loved the chaos of combat....being in the midst of battle put in at the apex of peace.

Darion thought of it."Do Windigo's live in caves or what?" Darion said as he watched his surrounding and smiled. Darion wasn't even burning up he was still really cold and still had is breath."Also...When do you think we should hide? Like next five minutes? Cause I think we are losing them." Darion said as he looked behind and didn't even hear anything chasing them.

Remembering stuff on Wendigo lore, Jack said while still running, "Yes, they are usually found in caves"...Jack looked around, they were indeed losing them, the loud grunting was becoming slight more dimmer. He looked around as he ran, noting the trees around them and such trying to scout out good points to hide. "Ya, if we keep this up, we will indeed lose them....We should probably scramble up a tree or something...least there we would have a good vantage point".

"Then after we lose these freaks we'll look around... " Darion said as he turned his left foot and made ice shoot out in another direction making it seem like they went another direction. Darion Then quickly jumped up and begna climbing a tree branch by branch. He didn't bother running up to the tree leaving foot prints."Cover you're tracks." Darion mentioned quickly enough so Jack could hear him and not the savages. Darion grabbed the layers of mud off his shoes and began to rub it on his jacket covering his scent.

The men in white ash continue to chase Jack and Darion. They continue to run even after passing their tree, and reach a nearby swamp within view. It looks like the swamp goes pretty deep, but none of the men hesitate and run straight into the murky waters. They all sink into the muck. And never resurface...

Darion watched the tribes men and smiled as they passed, his face slowly looks concerned as they men sink into the muck."Well Jack, You want to check what happens when you sink into the swampy muck next?" He said as he looked at Jack with amusement." I mean look at that, they haven't come up for air and they seemed to know what they we're doing," Darion paused before he continued."So anymore bright ideas? Want to go look for unicorns, or do you want to look for the Windigo now?" Darion said as he continued to watch the swamp with caution.

Smiling mischievously Jack responded to the sarcastic question, "Nah, Unicorns aren't in season right now, though I do hear Dragons make for good eating these days. We should continue ******** around". Jack smacked Darion upside the head, "Of course were gonna go looking for the Wendigo! Honestly I would have rather'd we found the savages first rather than them finding us, at least we know what was making that sound". Jack with a inquisitive expression stared at the swamp the men dived in. No way in hell was he thinking about pursuing them. "Trust, I am not so much of an idiot than to blindly chase savages into an unknown and hostile enviroment...let alone a place we can't breath, or likely see in...No, we head deeper in the forest....The sooner we get this Wendigo thing done the better". With that said Jack got in front of Darion holding out his arm, so that Darion could start Chi sensing agian. Once he would grab ahold of his arm, Jack would start moving deeper into the foliage.

Darion grabbed on you Jack's am and sighed."Wouldn't be a surprise to find Dragons or Unicorns here...Hell I'd even beat on Leprechaun, think if I stabbed it with a knife it'll spill out lucky charms?" Darion said as he closed his eyes and activated his Chi Sight. He keep his eyes on the swamp for a couple of seconds and looked away, they we're safe. Darion nudged Jack to move onward.

Feeling the nudge Jack began to move onward with Darion in tow. In response to his question, Jack said, "I could use some cereal right now....which reminds me", Jack's stomach began to grumble, "I think those savages forced us to miss are breakfast...We need to eat soon man, use that sense thing of yours to see if you can spot a deer or something, I'm not going to get into an epic battle to the death without a full stomach". That last part was a joke, but he still needed food regardless. He figured Darion could go for something to eat as well. With Darion using his chi sense, the two kept moving forward, with Jack scanning the canopies for any signs of a potential meal...but of course he always kept an eye out for the things that wanted to kill him as well....but then again...both could be the same thing. Jack frowned at the meer thought of fighting for his meal.

Darion looked around for food and dangers as they walked."It's a jungle,the chances of us finding a deer are very low...But then again we're in this jungle filled with odd things..." Darion stopped and looked to the left and groaned."I assume hunting is your expertise?" He said while pointing at a deer.

Putting his fingers to his lips, he signalled Darion to keep silent. Hunting wasn't necessarily his speciality but he quite the crack shot at throwing bladed weapons. Problem being, he didn't have any sharp objects...thats where his style came in. He wasn't necessarily to keen on revealing what his style was to Darion cause once he did what he was going to do, the cat would be out of the bag...but hey..at least there was going to be deer meat in there stomachs.
He remembered the last time when he summoned up his weapons...he basically went insane...but thats only because he tapped into his hidden emotions extremely fast. No, he would do this subtly. Gently tapping into that side of him he wanted to no one to see he slowly and quietly gathered dark purple ki into one of his hands. After a minute it formed a hatchet...sure he could of summoned it alot faster, but that would mean going into his battle frenzy...which he didn't want to do, lest he scare off the deer. Finally with hatchet in hand, Jack slowly approached the deer, staying downwind of the creature so he wouldn't smell him...making extremely soft padded steps as he approached.
He was getting closer...the deers ears perked up.....Jack threw the hatchet....the blade sailed through the air and.......BAM...the hatchet stuck right into its skull as the deer crashed to the ground. With the hatchet disappearing he turned back and smiled at Darion saying, "Lunch is served".

Darion watched everything unfold and grinned as the deer hit the ground."I hope you don't mind cooking it...Cause I sure can't cook unless I'm about to starve to death..." Darion said as he threw a pack of matches at Jack."If I do cook I'd have to go naked or else the heat would bother me too much." Darion said as he sighed.

Thinking about it, Jack came across a revelation. "There is also another problem Darion. If we cook this deer with fire, we give off are position...strongly". Jack began looking around saying, "We need to find a cave or something. A place where light doesn't easily escape". A cave would be preferable, who knows what kind of denizens look in the dark depths of the underground. No matter how many ways he looked at it, setting off a fire here was a very very bad idea.

Darion sighed and grabbed the deer, as he did so the deer slowly began to frost up to keep it well preserved and to stop the smell of blood from attracting other animals. Darion looked around and noticed a rock wall in the distance."Over there..." Darion grabbed the deer and lifted it on to his shoulder. He quickly began to walk over to the rocky wall.He approached the wall and looked to his right. He smiled as he spotted a dark cave. Darion closed his eyes and activated his Chi sight, he smiled as the wasn't any signs over life inside the cave"Coast is clear. We can cook in here." Darion walked towards the cave and stood in front of it. The smell of fresh dirt could be smelled from the outside. It was refreshing really. Darion walked in and placed the deer on the ground and the deer instantly lost it's frosty feeling.
