Hito Takeyoshi

Hito heard what Hisoka proposed, underneath her sniveling and loss of composure, and exhaled a deep breath. This was a plea to end a pathetic life, one that felt that there was no point in living any longer. Hito had seen it a many a times before, most on the field of battle where an enemy or ally was on the verge of death. They begged Hito to relieve them of the pain, the inevitable end soon to come anyway. Hito looked at them with pity and sorrow before ending their existence as they asked. At this point, Hito had been looking at Hisoka in the same way, his hand slowly moving down from her back and towards his side. She was broken, and there was a good possibility for her to lose control of herself and put others in danger. The best thing to do is take her out before the worst arose. However, once Hito had gotten too close to his katana, a voice called out to him. "Stop! Don't do this again!" The voice was his own. The second he figured that out, a jolt of pain surged from his brain down to every nerve in his body. Images started racing in his mind, revealing the remaining of his lost memory.
The memory that was now shown started at the hidden forest beneath the sand of Hueco Mundo. This was where Hito had been training alone quite some time. Apparently someone of great power had scouted Hito out and set up a plan to ambush him with thousands upon thousands of hollows, which included Gilians and Adjuchas. Hito was able to hold them off for quite some time, but the pure numbers of the beasts were too much. Hito wouldn't hold out for too long. Suddenly a long arm stretched out and took down multiple hollows only a few feet from Hito. Hito watched as the arm was sent right back to the body after the strike, introducing a new party member. This was an arrancar, he wore a hooded, armless shirt, a pair of shorts, and straw sandals. He looked like a goofy person, but he was strong indeed. The two of them were able to thwart the ambush plan.
Hito and the Arrancar, Yoshina, stuck together. Yoshina was very carefree and tended to like to do things himself. He didn't want to scheme with the other Arrancars who had joined the ranks of the Espada, rather live out traveling the baron wastelands of Hueco Mundo. He also seemed to think Hito was an interesting person, training in the land of his enemy. They were two peas in a pod, and were unbeatable. With Yoshina there, any possibility of getting over-run with hollows was now diminished. However, a few scenes later. The two companions were then at each other in an animalistic fashion. Hito could not comprehend some of the memories but he seemed to understand that Yoshina, the Arrancar with stretching powers, was at the level of a powerful Vaste Lorde and had planned to bring a balance of power between the Espada and the Seireitei. Hito was unsure of what he meant, but it seemed to threaten the very place he had left to gain the strength to protect. They fought. The memory of the fight was still blocked out, but the next one showed Hito standing over Yoshina's body. Both of them were tattered and bloody, yet Yoshina laid there smiling, only to give Hito one last request. Hito completed it, ending the little life his companion had, before falling to his knees and punching the ground. He could tell that he had regretted what he had done in that instant. He had killed the Arrancar. He had killed Yoshina.
All the memories flashed in front of his eyes, and when he came back to reality, it had actually only been a few seconds. Hisoka's breathing and tone in her voice seemed to level out. She was prepared. Hito's hand, which was still by his side reached up to her face and lifted it up at the chin. He looked at her in the eyes and smiled. All the faces of the captains that had passed, as well as Yoshina's flashed across hers. He couldn't do it, even if he wanted to. This wasn't Hito's role. "I refuse... I refuse to lose anything else that I hold dear." He said speaking softly, saying this just before Akira approached and spoke his two cents as well. He wasn't sure why Hisoka was actually dear to him at all, she was obnoxious, bitchy, and constantly showed hatred towards Hito. Hito didn't really mind this too much, because he pretty much gave her the same attitude. Even so... she was indeed an important part of the Seireitei now.

[OOC: Meh... a little longer than I anticipated, but I felt like I needed to move the story with my character along a bit.

Having mentally and physically prepared herself for this, Hisoka closed her eyes and rested her head against Hito's chest, listening to a heartbeat. It had been many years since she'd heard one, properly, ever since losing her own in fact. A young woman spirit moving between her home town in Korea. She'd learned how to watch and listen, without being able to verbally communicate with others she had not heard the sound of her own voice in over a decade, until she started becoming agitated. It was at this point that she felt his body shifting, a small smile appeared on her lips, her pain was soon to end. Soon, after 50 years of death she went mad, her chain of fate eroded almost completely, forcing her to become a hollow. From there he past was blank, almost completely erased until her re-emergence on the sands of Hueco Mundo in her panther Arrancar form.
Hito's sudden outburst snapped her abruptly back into reality, her eyes opening like a flash. She watched as he descended into the depths of his own mind, she did not want to disturb so she closed her eyes again, focusing on Akira's shifting reiatsu. When Hito moved again, she could feel that it was without his blade, his soft, consoling words made her both angry and relaxed. A slight blush appeared on her cheek as he tilted her chin and Akira put her hand on her shoulder. She did not like the touchy-feely happy hour that was going on with her body but it was strangely comforting. All the while she tried to build up her guard again, to try and block this arrogant, annoying man out. In this state, even though she tried to lower the temperature numerous times throughout this encounter to deter all this closeness, her mind was too unsettled to allow her to concentrate correctly.
Clearing her throat, not moving her head she glanced up at Akira, "Thank you Officer," she said in a diplomatic, authoritative tone. His words had more of an impact than she let on. They made her feel like she had a purpose and she owed it to her Squad.
Looking back to Hito, she batted his hand from her chin away with hers. "Aye-yeah, jare-jare," she growled hostilely, "Who do you think you are touching me in such a manner?"
She was in no way over her ordeal, but her primal instinct to get Hito the hell away from her was over riding how nice it was to be actually cared about.

Hito Takeyoshi

When Hito lifted Hisoka's chin up, he could see a faint blush on her cheeks. This had happened a few times before, every time he had touched her in fact. He wondered if it was because it was different to her, or maybe she in some way enjoyed the affection. Hito wasn't sure, these were emotions even he couldn't understand, so seeing Hisoka all flustered made himself feel a little... weird. However, she soon came back to her old 'hissy' nature. This relieve Hito, he'd rather not see Hisoka cry in such a way again. He hated to see tears fall from any woman's face, especially one with such a beautiful face. "Hito Takeyoshi... Shinigami Extraordinaire." Hito said with a smirk. This was the line he had given her from the first time they had met, and for some reason, it seemed like a nice memory when he thought about it, even then they were at each others' throat. Seeing her as her usual self after what had happened, gave Hito the idea that this was a good time to leave. He reached over towards the glass with water and pulled out the flower. He flicked the stem a bit, the water drops that stuck to it fell down to the desk below. He then reached up and gently placed the poppy flower in Hisoka's hair. These really do make anything else seem more beautiful.. He thought to himself before stepping off, heading for the door once again. "I'll be making my leave now.. But if you would like, I know a very good restaurant. If your interested, it'd be no problem for me to show you where it was." He said as he walked, not looking back.

Akira took his hand off her shoulder and walked back over to the other side of her desk then sat down in one of the chairs facing her desk "You might think your alone but your not and to be honest before you came to the seireitei I was more alone then you surrounded by shinigami and not one did I think was my friend or comrade" he said while looking down at the floor

Narrowing her peridot eyes to slits as he shot back, in his true cocky style, one of the very first things he'd ever said to her. "No...Shinigami going to be killed quite swiftly if he keeps it up," she seethed, taken off guard by this tactic.
Her cautious eyes, sparkling with the moisture of tears, darted to his hand as he moved, curiously observing his movements to the flower. The falling water, as it pooled in droplets on her desk, sparkled like the rarest of diamonds. She watched as a splash of colour came towards her and Hito began fiddling with her hair. Shrinking naturally away from the contact, Hisoka felt like a helpless kitten who wanted nothing more than to strike out with it's claws. Thankfully, he moved away and went to exit her office. Her hand instinctively went up to feel what he had done and, it was then that she realised that the flower was missing from the glass. She slid her tongue over her lips to moisten them as they pulled into the smallest smile possible.
"Feel free to," she called, only glad to be rid of him, "As regards the restaurant... well... I'll see what my officer has to speak to me about and then I'll see. I need to pay you back for today...If I do wish for something to eat later, I'll drop into your office and then we can discuss it or go there or something" her voice was mono tonal, the invitation nothing more to her than a platonic offering.
Watching him leave, Hisoka turned her attention to Akira who was speaking of his own hardships in the Seireitei, "What happened here," she said calmly, "never leaves this office... now, as regards you, I am your Captain and not a friend but you can come to me if there is anything bothering you. Now is there something you needed to speak with me about?"
She wasn't intending to be cold or heartless and she always had time for her own squad but today was just one of those days where she just needed to separate herself from her job.

"Aye-yeah..." the female Arrancar breathed, blinking in disbelief as she watched her Officer go. In one way it was good that he'd left, she felt more free with her thoughts now but, in another, it was bad. She felt that she'd somehow pushed him away from what he'd wanted to say to her.

Standing up, she walked silently to her room at the back of her office and looked to her bed. The low lying, traditional Japanese bed was now her haori's habitat when she wasn't wearing it. Today she decided that she would like to leave off the kimono that she usually wore and just go in her shihakusho and haori. "Seems that I'm going out sooner than I thought," she said aloud, her stomach grumbling at that exact moment as though agreeing with her idea. The small, humble mirror that hung cracked and old above her bed allowed her to glimpse the poppy in her hair, contrasting well against the darkness of her hair. "Huh..." she muttered, not entirely looking forward to sprinting after Hito so soon. "Well if he expects me to waste a sonido or two on him, he's sadly mistaken..."

With that, she pulled the haori over her shoulders, not bothering to slip her arms into the sleeves. Walking out of the door of her office, she looked back at the flowers again and shook her head, a small blush appearing on her cheeks before heading for squad 9.
