A missing legendary? How odd. Charlotte had to think but she remebered that Kyogre was a water type. But that was all she could really recall about. She wondered if it was stolen by Team Rocket but then again wouldn't Team Aqua or something have wanted it? Aren't they the ones really interested in water types? Charlotte wasn't very well educated on those topics but she was pretty sure that Team Aqua would have more of an interest in it.

Guy had navigated over to Luke and...Seraphine, yes that was her name, was still standing at an unfriendly distance to them all. But where had Draco gone. Then Charlotte saw that he had moved to investigate the trainers now having lost interest in the other pokemon. He seemed to be making his way over to Luke and Guy. Hopefully no shoe chewing would occur. Luke's shoes were already covered in small bite marks. Charlotte allowed the umbreon to go over to the others, she wanted to hear what else Steven had to say.

Just as he was considering the ways in which he could quietly slip away, a touch on his shoulder drew him back to the group and the conversation. Guy, of course. Luke didn't know if that man was psychic or just had the best timing in the world, but it was mildly disconcerting either way. He tucked his hands into his pockets with a vague sort of pout before relenting, "Fine." It couldn't hurt to listen and see what made this trainer so masterful, he supposed.

Offering a slight wave - as close to a 'hi' as he was willing to give at the moment - Luke spared the effort to listen to what Steven and Rosie were talking about. Nothing he understood very well, really... Devon and Kaiba Corp, business and competition, it was all fairly meaningless to him. The mention of Kyogre, and the change of tone that was associated with it, drew some curiosity, though.

"What's Kyogre?" To the present audience, it would likely appear a very stupid question, but to Luke, who had never had cared to study pokemon or the legends attached to them, it was a legitimate wonder. The accompanying mention of Team Rocket was of concern as well. Suddenly Luke was much more interested in this discussion.

Steven nodded his head solemnly at Rosie's words, his hands going into his pockets. There was silence from the Hoenn champ for a few moments until Luke rejoined the group, and he looked up to acknowledge the red head and his greeting.

A kindly smile returned to Steven's face as he regarded the boy thoughtfully before extending his hand to him. "Luke right?" He then side glanced at Rosie with a small grin, before looking back to Luke. "Steven," he then said, in case the red head hadn't been paying attention. Something about this kid just... screamed insecure to him. Thus he made a point of not ignoring him. "Just Steven, if you don't mind. Mr. Stone is my father." That last bit obviously being meant for Rosie.

However, he quickly went back to topic as Luke asked his question. It wasn't at all a stupid one, or at least not to Steven. There were plenty of people who were unfamiliar with legendaries, and he wouldn't dream of embarrassing the kid anyway.

"Kyogre is a water type Pokemon. Its a very important legendary, especially to Hoenn where it typically lives. It has the ability to expand the oceans. Some say its even the creator of the oceans." That was Kyogre in a nutshell anyway. "Ever since an incident involving Team Aqua and Magma years ago, I've been trying to keep tabs on it. But now its gone. Coincidentally, a friend and colleague of mine is missing as well."

Aron marched along happily behind his white counterpart! "Aron ron ron!" he chanted in unison, his expression one of joy as he was obviously having a good time. Steven stole a glance in the direction of the Pokemon procession for just a moment, keeping watch out of the corner of his eye.

"Izumi." The girl reached out and shook the giant's hand. "N-nice to meet you Dith..." She gave a shy smile, not seeming to be bothered with someone touching her prosthetic hand, at least not during a hand shake. "H-have you done many tournaments?" Even if she wanted to participate in battles, all Wheatley could do was slam into things repeatedly, and that didn't really lend itself to winning, or anything remotely close to doing well in a competition.

Looking over to Luke and Guy when they came back over, she remained quiet while Steven made his introduction, though one comment was not lost on her.
She blinked at him a couple of times before eyebrows arched and her blue eyes widened, her fingers slipping over her mouth with a small "Oh." followed by an apologetic smile, and a slight, embarrassed blush. Not interrupting as he continued to explain what Kyogre was to Luke.

Most of what everyone knew about the Legendary was just speculation and myth. so to hear Steven talk about Kyogre like this was quite incredible.
At the mention of Team Aqua and Team Magma though, Rosie blinked and tilted her head slightly... "Team Aqua, and Magma?" She repeated quietly.

Head inclining downward for a moment at the last comment from Steven, "Kyogre and Lance..." This was... terrifying to her, if Team Rocket really was involved, just how strong must they be to take on a legendary, and a league champion.
Glancing over at Luke again when Steven was finished talking "Its been on the news a lot, there is strong reason to believe that Team Rocket has the champion Lance here." She explained, not sure if Luke watched the news when he was in the hotel room.
She shook her head softly, this broke her heart.

"Aron ron ron!" Sturdy little legs eventually drew the Aron parade away from the larger group, and soon enough the pair managed to start circling around a pair of black slacks.

User Image Hearing the little tune that was being sung in unison, the trainer couldn't help but glance down at the Pokemon. Two little steel types were parading about her ankles.

"Opal, did you make a new friend?"

"Aron!" The false steel type nodded her head before continuing on with her antics of parading about her trainer's ankles.

The girl shifted slightly in her place as she glanced back to the people who were behind her. "Sorry... they are just being playful..." Having Pokemon playing about her ankles was a bit awkward while standing in line for a funnel cake. She attempted to scoot forward a bit as the line moved forward, but she had to be careful to not let one of the two Arons step on her toes.

That would hurt.

Guy offered a kind smile to Luke as they rejoined the group, even though the young man's behavior didn't fail to give Guy small cause for worry. He never really knew Luke as a 'social butterfly,' and he hoped that his friend wouldn't freak out over anything or something like that or that he wouldn't be recieved poorly. Much to his relief, it seemed like Steven was kind enough to accept Luke readily, and that was like a huge weight being taken off of Guy's shoulders.

He listened attentively as Steven explained the Pokemon Kyogre and his concern over it and his mission colleague. Guy's eyebrows raised as he told his story about the Pokemon's origins. It seemed somewhat unlikely that a single Pokemon could have created all of the vast oceans, but they were stories, after all; it's not like anyone really was supposed to take them seriously. Guy turned his attention over to Rosie as she began talking about something called... Team Rocket?

"Team... Rocket? What is that?" Obviously, whatever this 'Team Rocket' was, it was notorious enough that it was talked about on the news and nefarious enough to kidnap someone.

"Yeah," he affirmed in response to his name, studying Steven dubiously before returning the handshake with a mental shrug. He didn't seem like a bad guy... Maybe it was just the vague sense of formality around the whole thing that was putting him off.

"Can a pokemon really do something like that?" Luke's expression betrayed the surprise he felt at hearing such a thing. Expanding the seas, creating the oceans... He'd seen the ocean. It was huge. He couldn't imagine a Water Gun strong enough to do something like that. What kind of monster was this Kyogre?

Rosie mentioned a Lance, another name that Luke didn't recognize. "Who's Lance?" A thought struck him, and he turned to Steven, "That the friend you mentioned?" A very large part of the boy didn't care who Lance was; the possibility that Team Rocket was keeping a hostage was infuriating enough without needing to know who said hostage was. "What would Team Rocket want with him? I thought they just stole pokemon," he mused aloud - at this point it was quite obvious that the topic of conversation was one of great interest to Luke, and he spoke with a much more open and earnest tone.

Guy's question was one that Luke knew the answer to - or so he felt - and so he volunteered a response, "They're the bad guys!" ...said with a vague indignation that suggested that was obvious, duh. "They stole Rosie's pokemon. Tried to mug me, but that didn't go too well." The latter of his statements was said with a huff and a folding of his arms; he was still quite sore over the incident.

"Its a long story," Steven said with a sigh when Rosie asked about Team Aqua and Magma. "Basically they're similar to Team Rocket, except they're rivals. One wanted to expand the land, and the other the oceans, and they needed Kyogre and Groudon for that." But that was in the past. Everything had been over and done with for some time now. He doubted that Team Aqua and Magma even existed anymore.

His attention now went to Luke and Steven could see the boy's growing interest in the subject. "Yes, they can, I have witnessed some rather spectacular events involving legendaries, as have others. Kyogre is able to summon torrential rains, and given enough time, it could indeed raise the oceans I believe."

This was soon followed by a nod as the questions now went to Lance. "Lance is champion of the Indigo League that's located in Kanto and Johto. He could tell you more about Team Rocket than I, he's the expert."
Luke went ahead and answered Guy's question for him, but Steven couldn't help but notice one thing, and blinked in surprise. "They stole one of your Pokemon?" The silver haired champion then asked turning towards Rosie, before looking back at Luke. "They're a criminal organization that does more than just steal Pokemon. They exploit them in whatever way possible, and it seems like they have now put their sights on legendary Pokemon. Lance was on a mission to find out what they're up to, and then we lost contact with him."

Aron continued happily marching along with Opal, doing circles around this girl he didn't know. He was having way too much fun to realize that he had wandered away from his own trainer again.

"Th-they stole Rosie's Pokemon?" Guy stammered in his shock. A group that steals Pokemon from innocent Trainers? What kind of people were these, doing things like that? "That's... horrible. I'm so sorry, Rosie," he said, turning his head towards the younger blonde. His surprise did not end there, though, for he spun right back around to Luke when he heard about the mugging attempt. "They tried to mug you?! Where the hell was I when this happened?!" Geez... What a failure of a bodyguard and servant he was if he couldn't protect his own master, much less find him.

Guy glanced back over to Steven as he explained Team Rocket in further detail, and his brow furrowed in thought and anger. These people... They sounded like a joke, but from the way Steven described them, they weren't kidding around. "Stealing Pokemon, kidnapping people... That's just inhumane. Why hasn't anyone tried to stop them or something?" Guy's hand subconsciously drifted towards his sword-hilt, gripping it tightly in his obvious rage towards the monsters who could do something so cruel as steal an innocent girl's own Pokemon.

He gave a quick explanation about the two other Teams that Rosie had never heard of, what... what kind of person wanted to do such damaging things? this made no sense to Rosie.

He continued his discussion with Luke about the Legendary, saying he actually witnessed this, a look of amazement caught Rosie's features, he actually -saw- the legendary, she can't imagine how wonderful that must be...

Her wonder was soon cut short thought, when Luke mentioned the things that Team Rocket had done to them personally, bringing up his attempted mugging... and her pokemon.
Shoulders rounded slightly when he said that, blinking a couple of times.
But than Guy and Steven inquired about it as well, and her cheeks flushed a little pink.
Her heart sank, eyes lowering, bowing her head a little next to Melody who she held tighter, her bangs fell forward, curtaining most of her features.
She gave a hesitant nod before speaking meekly "They tried twice.... Kiss stopped the first Rocket, but then the second one, She..."

"Chuu..." Kiss Kiss tilted her head, leaning forward on Rosie's shoulder as she gave her trainer a concerned look.

It still hurt, it hurt every day, and it was something she would never forget, but she felt so odd bringing this up when so many trainers in Kodo had lost their pokemon, even Luke had been threatened... in the city no less. so many people were hurt... and now Legendary were missing, and Lance was...
She was a victim? yes, but this didn't mean she would act like one, not anymore.

Her head lifted again looking over at Guy. "Legendary and Champions fall to them..." She pointed out. but shook her head, glancing back over to Steven. "... Lance was trying to do something?" There was something of an answer to Guy's last question.
Maybe the biggest advantage to Team Rocket was how little there was actually known about them, any information Lance had might have... really helped, Lance was trying to do something.
He sounded brave.

"They're horrible, I don't understand how someone can do something like that, and these are the people who have one of our champions..."
Her blue eyes were starting to look on the verge of tears now, out of frustration for the hurt people and pokemon, worry for the champion who did try and stand up to Team Rocket, and some of her own fears starting to prickle up again. She held her Charmander close, one hand reaching up to touch Kiss' side.
She held back though, and despite what she was feeling her voice only got stronger.
"I don't know Guy, but the only thing I know to do is to keep trying, and working to get stronger, so that next time they come, we aren't helpless."
She looked to Luke after saying that. "Luke helped me see that."
She had been in a very dark place, she would probably still be hiding had it not been for him.

Wow, that sounded like... a lot of rain. Luke had a growing want to see this for himself - not necessarily out of disbelief, but... That sounded like a lot of rain.

"Wha-- I said 'tried'! And I also said it didn't go well!" Luke replied at Guy's exclamation, slightly offended by the implication that he needed the man's protection. "I can take care of myself, you know. Jeez."

So it sounded like this Lance guy was their best bet if they wanted to take on Team Rocket... But it seemed Team Rocket knew that as well, to have captured him. The thought, to put it simply, pissed Luke off in a big way. "Aren't you some kind of 'master trainer'?" he said, repeating the terminology Guy had mentioned earlier. "Why can't you just go and take this Lance guy back?" The boy had half a mind to give it a go himself, save for the fact that he had no idea where he'd be going.

He nodded in agreement at Rosie's words, though her acknowledgment of him caused him to turn away suddenly, obviously more than mildlyl flustered. "I-I just said whatever came to mind," he dismissed mutteringly. It was one thing to say sappy things like that when it was just him and Rosie. It was quite another to have them repeated in front of Guy and a bunch of veritable strangers.

Seraphine was ignoring all of them - or rather, pretending to, she was still listening to the conversation - but she didn't miss the look Rosie gave her. She did her best to look as unhappy and reluctant as possible, but joined her friend's side regardless. There were many mentions and explanations of some guy named Lance, a champion or something, a pokemon named Kyogre - uninteresting - but both were missing, and a few other things. Mention of Team Rocket in regards to both as well as stealing pokemon did pique her interest, if only very, very slightly.

She couldn't help but notice Rosie's reaction to the mention of a Rocket stealing her pokemon, but since Seraphine was, well, Seraphine, she didn't really grasp the gravity and severity of the situation, especially Luke calling them 'bad guys.' While this was entirely true, it didn't help mature Sera's immature relation of Team Rocket to overgrown schoolyard bullies who would eventually be caught and turned into the principal and everything they'd stolen taken back and returned to their rightful owners. While this was more than likely as far from the truth and what would actually happen as it could possibly get, that was, unfortunately, the idea that was firmly stuck into the less-than-polite girl's pretty head.

She had no questions nor comments - she was still trying to seem entirely disinterested with the entire conversation - so she merely continued to hold Isabella in her arms while Anya sat next to her feet, and Mordecai hovered a couple feet from her as instructed.

Her grip was cool, hard, undeniably strange, but it was nice not to have to worry about grinding bones together by gripping too hard. “Izumi,” he repeated with a smile, “an unusual name; pretty. As for competitions,” Dith shook his head, “not recently. We used to compete a fair amount but we have not now for... ten years? Has it been so long? Longer?” He looked down at his companion and tilted his head thoughtfully but the Espeon just blinked up at him rather than being of any help. “Hehe,” the huge man looked back at Izumi with a lopsided grin, “it seems I am becoming forgetful in my old age and Viktor no better! Suffice to say not for a while, though for the last few months we have at least begun to battle a bit again.”

The years really had raced by. He swore it felt like only yesterday that he’d been thirty, twenty... Time flew when you were enjoying yourself, and when you were very busy; he had spent the last twenty three years or so being both so it was probably normal that he could swear it wasn’t so long ago at all that he had been settling into his dorm room at med school.

The line moved forward a few times, and carefully the girl tried to step outside of the circle that was being formed about her. But every time, the Aron pair seemed to reform the circle so it was surrounding her.

"It is like dealing with kids hopped up on sugar..." she sighed as she neared the edge of the booth. The girl leaned forward, but held her parasol back a bit so it wouldn't be in the way.

"I'd like one regular funnel cake, but without any powdered sugar..."

The man in the booth laughed in a kind manner. This request wasn't unusual in all honesty. Many people preferred keeping clean when eating their treats. After the girl had paid, he signaled to her to move to the other side to pick up her funnel cake.

"Come on you two... this way now..." Once again, she moved out of the circle, only to have Opal remake the circle around her at their new spot.

"Aron ron ron!" The game had been so entertaining since adding the extra element of a moving target to circle. The white Aron seemed happy enough.
