"I'm glad. I slept fine, too. I hope the couch wasn't too uncomfortable- Don't pick at it." She half half pouted at him, noticing his fidgeting with the bandage; It wouldn't heal if he kept messing with it, even though... he was a stranger, and it was his wound. "...Sorry." She felt suddenly awkward being around company, especially after sort of chastising him, sort of... "Um..." Izumi stared at her plate and pushed around her eggs before putting a fork-full into her mouth. She didn't say anything else.

Jerome was an easy going guy. And even though he lifted his gaze up at her when she told him not to pick at the bandage, his features remained mellow, shortly followed by a slight smirk and a laugh. "New yer right, ******** just annoyin' as hell to keep on." He hasn't been able to move properly in weeks, he hated not being able to move.
He dropped his hand, and picked up his plate to distract himself with eating. He hadn't eaten much in the past couple of days, been busy or just didn't feel like he could hold it down. so he was pretty hungry.

The hint of a smile played at the corners of Izumi's mouth when Jerome laughed. He really was a nice guy. The nicest person she'd ever had in her apartment, which wasn't saying too much, considering only maybe three people had ever been in her home besides her. "D-do you live far from here now?" She remembered him mentioning moving, since he'd been on his way to his old house to pick up some things when he'd stopped into her shop, and she was going to drive him after breakfast.

"Mm" well, here was an interesting question... and he was faced with something of a choice... how to lie to her. He was well aware that talking about the Team Rocket tower was out of the question, he wasn't about to do something that stupid.
"Eh, kinda," he replied "Its a bit of a drive to the city yeah."

"Oh." There may have been a hint of disappointment in that 'oh', or she'd just discovered that the middle of her waffle was still cold. "A-are you okay to drive? A-after I take you to get your stuff?" It would be bad if he left from being patched up at her home and passed out in the middle of driving.

He raised a brow at the tone in her voice, but he didn't make a comment on it. "Yeah I'm cool to drive. probably should have drove to the house but... wanted to walk." That and he would probably attract more attention with WHAT he was driving in these kinds of streets. and just pulling up in front of the apartments.. make it hard to just slip in.

"Alright. We'll leave after we eat, then." She said as soon as she'd finished off the last of her eggs. Izumi wasn't in a rush, but she didn't figure the man who'd climbed out of a club through the skylight, gotten shot, and then just walked around would really want to sit around her apartment all day having some strange girl be uncomfortable around people and be terrible at conversation.

He didn't seem to mind either way. Though seeing as it was his usual demeanor, it wasn't entirely easy to tell what he was thinking... or even if he was.
He stared at his food for a while, blinking slowly in his own thoughts. He would normally quickly decline her offer to take him anywhere, knowing where he was going wasn't going to be a good place, but for some reason he wasn't declining this offer. "a'ight" He agreed, eyes shifting up for a second. "I'm ganna owe ya big time Ink."
