Yar har ho har… I’m a pirate…

User ImageFormeAdrien climbed up the ladder after Heather, pulling it up when he had reached the top. His shirt had gone from white to red, since the blood from his shoulder had floated in the water, staining his shirt. I’ve always wanted a crimson shirt. Adrein thought sarcastically. Adrien turned to Cannon. “There’s a breach in the hull. I’d deal with that before we start to get moving. We must have scraped some rocks. Get some men on it, it’s not too bad.”
Cannon raised his brows a bit. “I’m terrified to ask, but” Cannon was grinning a bit, obviously trying to ease some of the tension that was obviously hanging in the air. “what about yourself?”
“I have some things to take care of.” It was still raining and the wind was bitter cold.Adrien wished he could just curl up and go to sleep, but he knew what he would have to stay up until this storm was past. No matter how tired he got. He turned to Heather. “C’mon.” He told her, without really looking at her. Then he went down the steps. He wanted to talk to Heather right there, but he knew that there were other, more important things. “You should change so you don’t get sick.” He said, sitting down at the table. “Then we can talk.” Adrien reached under the table, grabbing something that was taped to the bottom and pulling it up, unfolding it and putting it on the table. A map.

…Or something like that, anyways.

Heather followed him and she looked at the map he put on the table. She sighed and she went to her room and closed the door, after a few mintues she came out with fresh, dry and clean clothes. She sat down in front of the table,"What do you want with me now?"

Yar har ho har… I’m a pirate…

User ImageFormeAdrien’s brows rose when she sat down, but his eye didn’t move from where it had landed on the map, his hand making a smooth line on the parchment. “You act like you’re the one with a reason to be upset.” Adrien said, drips of water falling from his hair onto the paper. You could hear the sound of feet and rain above the little room. It comforted Adrien, actually. He shook his head. “I don’t think you even understand what you did up there, do you?” Adrien’s eye flickered up from the paper, but only for a moment. Another smooth line was made. “It’s not a matter of getting yourself killed. Heck, by all means. It’s your life, throw it away if you want to. But you could have cost us a lot more than that.” Adrien waited for her reply, his hand poised above the paper, drops coming down from his wrist.

…Or something like that, anyways.

"THen why didn't you kill me when you havd the chance to. I was actually helping, if you guys went any further against that reef you were rubbing against the hole under the ship would have have been bigger. SO you should be thanking me." she crossed her arms and looked at him.

“That’s not what I meant.” Adrien said irritably. He set down the pen, pushing the map away from him enough so he could lay his arms on the table. His blue eye glared at Heather. “You act like I’m not aware of this. Excuse me, but who’s the captain of this ship? Who knows what’s best?” Adrien’s eyes were sharp, as were his words. “We could have easily sat through the storm and waited it out without taking too much damage. And then we could have easily gotten the problem under control. We wouldn’t have had to cut the line. I don’t think you understand how much a missing anchor is a problem. You may know basics about ships, but you don’t know how to run one or how to choose what’s best for the ship as a whole.” Adrien’s voice rose a bit. “So don’t tell me how to do my job. I have to keep this crew safe. And all you seem to care about is your own personal well being.” Adrien stood, his hands coming down hard on the table.

…Or something like that, anyways.

Heather glared at him and hs estood up movin g the chair back,"Well sorry I have been making my own choices in life for a long time ever since my parents made me move out on my own, I was the runt of the family! I didn't get what I wanted!I didn't get love from my parents! I as just tossed out to be eaten or killed by others!" she shouted at him and she clnched her fists and she looked at the ground.

User ImageForme“Oh. You’re life is so hard!” Adrien glared. If looks could kill, Heather would be rolling on the ground right then, begging for mercy. “You act like you’re the only one who’s been robbed of a childhood. Well how about a Future? How about your own choices and a life? I’ve had none of those! I’ll never have any of them! My whole life has been living on this ship, taking care of this crew!” Adrein’s words were venom. He wasn’t thinking about his words now, they were just flooding out of his lips, exploding with anger. “You think your parents were so hard? You want to know how I lost my eye, Princess?” Adrien spat. “Do you?!” He demanded. His fingers were tight around the edge of the table. It was taking all of his strength not to smack this girl, not to beat her down into the bottom of the ship, perhaps even further than the bottom of the ship. Perhaps, if Adrien had the chance, he would beat her through the bottom of the ship and down to the bottom of the ocean floor.

…Or something like that, anyways.

Heather looked away from him and she backed away to the door pushing her back against it,"Sorry...didn't mean to snap like that." she rubbed her arms and she started to open the door.

User ImageForme“Yeah. Well.” Adrien’s words were still sharp, but he turned his face away. His head hurt. He needed a drink. His left hand reached up and his fingers set themselves on the dip of his eye patch. “Tell Cannon that I said to put you to work, I’m sure he has a job or two to give you. You want to become part of this crew. You’ll work like part of this crew.” Adrien said, finally moving away from the table and into one of the adjoining rooms, locking it behind him.
He sighed, leaning against the wood of the door for a moment, his eye closing. “That was so wrong, you know that, right?” He asked himself coldly. “You had no place to yell at her for that. Like some sort of monster or something.” Adrien pulled off his crimson shirt and tossed it carelessly on the floor of his small room, grabbing a bit of medical tape and taping his shoulder wound, not even bothering to put gauze or anything on it. Then he pulled on a semi-clean white shirt, looking at himself in the mirror for a moment. He put his fingers on his eye patch again. “You think this thing is for looks or something, darling?” He sighed, shaking his head. Adrien looked up at the walls, which were coated in all the maps he had made over the long years. He knew he would have to go up there, eventually. But perhaps he would check on the hole and help there first, or something.

…Or something like that, anyways.

She nodded and she went up on deck and looked for Cannon anywhere."I need o keep my anger under control or something bad will happen next time." she rubbed her head and she coughed a little."I fell like crap..." she felt warm but she ignored it and looked for Cannon.

User ImageForme The rain had gotten lighter for the time, but the constant rumble of thunder in the distance told another story. Cannon leaned on the wheel, talking worridly with a man who had come from trying to patch up the hole. Captain wasn't going to be so happy with the news. "We'll port when we can." Cannon said finally. "You sure you couldn't find the Cap?" He asked, his forehead creasing a bit. Where had that silverfish gotten off to, now?
Cannon's gray eyes fell upon Heather, who seemed to be wondering around the desk, like she was looking for someone. "Keep an eye out. We should be okay just with floatin' 'round for now. We're going in the right direction." Cannon came out from behind the wheel, moving down to where Heather was. There was still water on the deck, but it wasn't quite as high as before. He knew that they wouldn't get it entirely cleared out until they were out of the rain. "You lookin' for something?" He asked Heather quizzicaly. "A lass like you shouldn't be alone with a crew like this." Cannon warned, though he didn't elaborate what he meant by that.

"Yeah I was looking for you and the Captain said he wants me to get to work and he was sure you had a job or two for me to do." she told him with a stern voice and she coughed a little and she felt a little dizzy all of a sudden.

User ImageForme “Where is that pain, anyhow?” Cannon asked, folding his arms across his soaked shirt. “He really-” Cannon broke off as she coughed. “Hey, you alright? You don’t look so hot.” Worry clouded Cannon’s face for a moment. “A frail thing like you shouldn’t be out here during a storm or anything, anyways. Not to mention that you probably haven’t had any food or sleep in… How long?” Cannon shook his head. “I’m not going to make you work when you look like that.” Cannon was exaggerating, that much was true, but she still didn’t look too good. Enough to make him notice, at least. Plus, Adrien had told him to put her to work. What had he been thinking?

"I didn't have sleep for almost two days..." she rubbed her eyes and she coughed again and she fell to her knees, crossing her arms,"I feel like crap...I feel sick..." she said looking at the ground she really didn't feel well.

Yar har ho har… I’m a pirate…

User ImageForme “Well don’t sit down in that water. You’ll only freeze to death, silly girl.” Cannon stooped down, scooping Heather up in his arms. “You need some rest. Stop trying to do so much. Don’t you know that not sleeping is not healthy? Sheesh.” Cannon wasn’t scolding her, he was more teasing her, carrying her down into the belly of the ship and into her room, where he laid her gently on the bed before pulling his wet arms back and folding them across his chest. “I’ll talk to Adrien about getting you work if you really want some, but you’ve got to get better, first. If you need anything, just get something. Or ask one of the crew. We’re not all that bad, alright?”

Adrien made his way across the ship, to where the hole had been. “Gah!” He gasped when he walked in, shutting the door quickly behind him. He room was filled up to Adrien’s knees with water, and the water was only getting higher. The three men who were already in there turned to look at him, some with wide eyes and some with sheepish smiles. “Well don’t look at me! Let’s get this thing fixed!” Adrien roared. The ned nodded quickly, turning back to what they were doing.
