ALPHA - Elliot Schaffer Location: Bleachers Power: Magnetokinesis
Eli nodded and sat where Tsukino had made room for him. It had been what seemed like forever since he'd been gone. The grounds were almost foreign to him. the faces, save two however were even more foreign to him.
As usual, Bella gave her warm welcome, despite what occurred at Catalina; at the same time it wasn't his fault or hers. The songstress went on introducing the others to each other. Eli looked to the newbies. Hell, he was still technically one.
He waked awkwardly to them before turning back and listening what Bella said about her powers. Only if they knew. Hell, telling a lie was hard unless someone truly believed what they said. Then he remembered her mentioning the Danger Room and some other exercises. Well, ideally it would be a good idea to have everyone coordinate and get to know each others abilities, but Eli still had that little problem of trust and socializing with people.
"Well, I... My ability is Magnetokinesis. I can create and manipulate electromagnetic fields and all that jazz. Pleased to meet you all." He said, giving a slight stiff smile. He looked to Leo, "So what'd I miss while I was gone?" Eli asked. It was never a dull moment here, but with his absence, and it's time, it meant he missed something big.
(Sorry if I missed anything addressing Eli, I've had a terribly long day and I'm off to bed now, Sorry again... It feels so strange to type and the quality is major poosticks.)

Omega Ability: Psychic Laceration Location: Library- Escape! A snort, almost indignant, slipped from the Slovenian at his friend’s assertion, ”Maybe…but inevitably, you wouldn’t utilize it.” No, it’d likely end up being another week or two filled with moments akin to the one they were sharing now—open books gathering dust, and Aren’s forehead falling against the table rim yet again.
For the latter bit, the man acquired a pensive expression, again tapping his pencil to his cheek, ”Mm…five years now, I think. Give or take a few months.” The memories of his move to New York from Ljubljana were sketchy at best, any details lost to the shadows of his then scrambled little head. ”But I was a shut-in, and like hell I needed to pay attention to that sort of thing anyway. So, I guess that puts us both,” A brief pause, wherein the young man tried to grasp for exactly how that particular saying went, ”Up s**t creek without a paddle.” Yep, there it was.
”Agreed.” The answer was hasty, laden with his desperation to do anything other than stare at a growing pile of assignments. Whatever books and folders he’d been glancing at were immediately pushed to the side, dismissed in lieu of any other, more entertaining activates.
But Maddy, in fact, did take notice of their plans, her hands falling away from her head almost as soon as Dom’s figure had slipped into a standing position, and the previous quiet from her –which, admittedly, he had mistaken for apathy- abated with her talk of not wanting to be an accomplice to their little escape. The tone to her voice left the Slovenian to wonder if she was serious about her assertions or not, although either way, he couldn’t find much will to care. While the young man hadn’t garnered a reputation as a trouble-maker in the Academy, his disregard for all things academic was clear to peers and faculty alike. ”Hey now, don’t ruin the fun.” Whether she was joking or not, he feigned a slightly cheeky smirk; one which he turned towards Raine as well, once he noted her presence there. He’d seen the girl around, although admittedly had never spoken to her; not surprising, when one considered Dominik’s usual social behavior. A shrug wove its way through his visage, this one slightly dismissive, ”Anywhere but here, I think.”
With some cursing, Madison seemed to come around as well. Even offering a little bit of advice…which Aren might care to utilize. The Slovenian, however, likely wouldn’t conjure even that much effort towards his school work. Little kids put him on edge, anyway.
”We should go-“ But before he could finish the statement, Roland rolled through the area…spouting something about cooking and all manner of subjects uninteresting to Dom, who only raised a slightly unenthused brow; the man of many supposed talents. Without even allotting time for a response, the guy was gone…leaving the young man to shake his head, ”Has no doctor introduced that guy to Ritalin yet?”
Another voice cut through the air, this time before Dom could even conjure the breath required to even ******** say the words ‘We should go outside somewhere—get some fresh air. This time, the source was a comm.; Aren’s comm, and Narcissa’s voice. Riiight on ******** time.
But-
”She didn’t mention me.” He stated with a half grin, already edging his way around the table and towards the doors which, to him, signaled freedom.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Aurelie was lost on the whole dimension thing that Leo mentioned; the Halloween town episode had eluded being a conversation piece in the Corsairs – they'd been out... doing their own thing... and what had been said about the Nightmarish escapade for the Omega and Alpha teams hadn't made much sense.
But she'd not missed the spark of interest in the man's eyes when she mentioned her power. Her own gaze fell just slightly while she regained her composure, not desiring a whole lot of attention on the Alpha's just yet, considering she was one of the new kids on the block. Deciding that it was likely just her own self-criticism and not actual scrutiny from one of her new teammates, Aurelie met his eyes again when she announced that she was going to practice.
Eli made an easy greeting, slipping into an informal mode with an ease that made Aurelie a tad envious. “Aurelie... telekinetic.” This time she avoided Leo to see if that interest would be re-drawn. Maybe he just liked the power. He asked for an update, which seemed to be asking for more than just the introductory meeting and was something that only Bella, Gideon or Leo could rightly give.
_ - _ - _ - _
Alexandria said that she'd be getting going too, and Aurelie extended a small smile to the girl. “I'd say moving in the middle of a storm might be more horrendous without your nifty power.” Leo asked to join them, and Aurelie would be the last person to discourage someone from inviting themselves along – especially seeing as a part of her wanted just that. One, to see when he'd traded his S.H.I.E.L.D. status for that of a junior X-team. Two, to dig out of him just what the look about the telekinetic abilities was about.. and last but not least, to have a familiar face around – no matter how vague the acqauintance.
He moved his arms about as though trying to work out a twinge in his shoulders, and Aurelie tilted her head to the side for a contemplative moment. ”Tense about all the new members or something?” The telekinetic asked, jibes lacing the query so that it was harmless.
Sapphire orbs lent their sights to the darkening sky; it looked as though the bottoms of the clouds were going to collapse and start peppering them with a torrential downpour. “Agreed.” Especially since her white top would expose entirely too much to be considered respectful should she get soaked. ”Ducking inside before the rain would be a good idea.” She stated, eyes still lingering on the overcast, even though her mind had strayed from that current line of thoughts.
It wasn't until someone started speaking what sounded to be French, and apparently at her. The voice was coming from a guy with green skin, and her eyes widened a tad bit in surprise. A hand flew up halfway to her chest before she managed to squelch her initial reaction and replace it with something a bit less airheaded. When words finally came, her voice was still uneven, diffident. “That's.... nice.” She waited a beat before saying much else. “I think.”
“It's a pleasure to meet you Adam.” This time she opted to leave out the 'I think,' not wanting to appear rude, even if the clause was nearly necessary. Though, she did give way to a small, airy laugh when he said that the ladies could call him whenever they'd like. “I'm sure we'll see you around.”
”Hey Alexandria... you want to meet up for dinner when you're done getting all settled in?” A part of her wanted to ask if they should help, but another part of her knew that she herself would have wanted to be left alone for a bit, at least until the new roomie came along.
Tsukino tailed after their small group, asking to train with them. Innocently, her teeth tugged at her bottom lip again but then let it transform into a smile. “Oh, yeah... that sounds good..” How to word this without seeming like a standoffish snob.... “But I was not going to train my telekinesis... right now...” Actually, it was the furthest thing from her mind. Instead, there was a melody wrapped inside of her conscience that definitely needed to get out, and her fingers ached to touch the keys again... practically begging her to make up for lost time. “I wanted to prepare for something a little more relaxed after having my nerves frayed from the drastic change in teams.” That could have been phrased better.
But she turned to look at Leo, because Lexi had expressed that she needed to get unpacked... so she'd likely not be keeping company with them for much longer. Considering Tsukino had thought they were off to train, she'd extend the same to him. ”Unless... that's what you'd prefer to do?” Train... with the newbies. Somehow, Aurelie doubted that anyone would look forward to that sort of endeavor.
She certainly wouldn't have.
“I'm game for whatever, so long as we do something other than study.” What with term papers coming up, she'd rather put it off and enjoy her spring break. Even if, she was on pins and needles from training with unfamiliar mutants. Granted, after having one of Max's quills puncture her face.... she had plenty of reason to be hesitant. While he was often funny, danger room sessions certainly lived up to their name. Plus some.
Her eyes jumped back and forth from the two that'd be following, waiting for some sort of direction as to which they'd rather do.

Team Alpha's Moonlight Name: Tsukino Kazuki Ability: Barrier Creation Location:Walked back inside and now in room singing Halo Tsukino walked with Aurelie as she spoke. She looked down as the telekinetic stated that she wasnt going to train her telekinesis at this moment. She looked down and saw the girl's fingers begin to move. She could tell right there that the girl played the piano. She only knew this because her father played piano and when he was ready to play, after being away from it for a while,he would begin to move his fingers along imaginary keys.Tsukino had actually wanted to stop by the music room later but now felt somewhat embarresed that the group wasnt doing any power training. This all just made her look like a overachiever that worked too much.
She looked over at Leo and Lexi when she moved her eyes over to them. She sighed slightly but then smiled at Aurelie."That's fine, everyone does seem occupied at the moment.I'll just go on a little later by myself.Thank you though, and have fun in the music room I hear the piano up there is really cool." She said as she looked at the others and waved goodbye. She was slightly discouraged to ask anyone one else so decided to leave. Then before she moved a raindrop hit her face.At first she thought she was crying but looked up and felt a few more.It was a slight drizzle, the one that always comes before a storm. She waved bye to Aurelie and quickly placed her hand over head. She formed a small orange trianlge shaped barrier over her,so that if it started to rain hard before she made it inside she wouldnt get wet.She walked to entrance and stepped inside. She was going to stop at the lounge to finish reading her book but decided against it since so many omegas were currently in there or at least there were some in there earlier. She just walked up to her room and enjoy the rest of her day.
As she made it into her room she sat on her bed and looked out her window. It was such a beautiful view of the campus and Tsukino could sit there for hours looking at it.She opened her book and began to read again. She was at the final chapter of the story where the three kingdoms era was coming to a close and The jin dynasty had finally united china. She read in silence as she became enraptured in the story. She came to the final sentence and smiled because she had finished the book. She would have to go to the library and see if they had any other books that would interest her later. But for now she would get some rest and think about what time she would reserve the danger room or just go outside and train when the weather looked nicer. She layed on her bed after letting her hair down and began to sing to herself. She started the song with her own touches to the verses of it."Remeber those walls I build,Well baby there tumblin down.Didnt even put up a fight, didnt even make a Sound..."She kept singing Halo(Charice) ,while ad libing some parts of it.She hoped she wasnt too loud since most people went to the music room for singing and such not to bother others around them.

xxxxxxxxxx ➸ ▬▬▬ O m e g a ' s ☭ SIZE Shifting Native______________ Library, with Dominik Edipova, Maddy and Rainexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx “Shut in... I could see it, if only for your irrational fear of dust getting to you out in the big city.” Aren retorted, eyes sparkling with his mirth. But he gave a huff, one in mock haughtiness when Dom used the paddle expression. “It's okay... I'm a native – I know how to swim.” But getting out of government? Completely beyond him.
Aren couldn't help but allow a grin to slip into his features at the sight of the lovely Raine, who failed epically at appearing chiding. “Well, only if you'll accompany us, lady.” Aren responded, eyebrows raising a hair as he tried for a dignified expression.
Unlike the blond bombshell that essentially owned he and Dom, Aren didn't see the differences in teams to be all that important. It wasn't as though they were night and day, and their placement on the Alphas didn't take away from some of their sparkling personalities – Raine's included.
“But... if we tie you up in a closet... loosely tie you up in a closet, and then don't tell you where we're going...” The native retorted, his smile far more nefarious than what it had been moments before. To him, it didn't matter that Maddy had been deadpan... he took everything in such stride anyways, that if she had been serious... he certainly wouldn't be the one to make that distinction. Dom told her not to ruin their fun, and Aren caught himself nodding in agreement.
“Notice...” He trailed off, that current line of thoughts interrupted when she mentioned their team leader's preference for “ethnic” guys. “Ethnic huh?” Had he had hopes that they'd eventually cross the line that they toed so often, he might have been more than pleased to hear it. “And here I thought I was special...” He shrugged then, making a casual play in the muscles in his shoulders and chest. Thing for the heathenish men or not... Aren didn't believe for a second that either one of them were too serious with their near constant quips.
Maddy seemed to abandon the study ship along with them with Raine's arrival. “If you insist... it'd probably save me on silk ties any way.” He responded, his white teeth showing behind his lopsided grin. She gave him advice on where he could get a good “tutor” so to speak, and his chocolate eyes fell on his Slovene friend. “So about that twenty-five bucks...” He said, trying to lide it in as though he were sneaky.
But just as he said it, his comm sounded with a British lilt, barking at him to study. “Napi.” He'd not even gotten the chance to stand from his chair when the broadcast registered. Did she have to know everything? Drawing in a sigh, Aren held his wrist comm up to his mouth. ”I rather enjoyed flying, ki'somma... it was the landing I had difficulty with.” He responded jokingly into her comm. “And I'm a good student... on subjects I am interested in. Wanna take some human anatomy and physiology with me later?”
Though jibes aside, Aren sank back into his chair, defeated. American Government sucked. Hardcore.
Roland popped his head in, and Aren tipped his chin upwards at his roommate's invitation. Admittedly, he'd not spent too much time in the room over the past month, choosing instead to crash with Dom or stay out during the late hours that Roland likely used for sleeping. “Sounds cool, Roll.”
Whether or not he got to go... depended entirely on his ability to get his homework done... and whether or not he'd get distracted. However, Dom's lack of enthusiasm for the dinner would probably tread into Aren's mood, and the dinner could possibly be missed. “I don't think so, but feel free... isn't your doc on speed dial after that damned nightmare world?”
One thing was for sure – Aren never wanted to be made of rock again.
Dom's smirk and cheap statement only made Aren raise his comm. once more. ”Ki'somma... You know, I'm not the only one failing out of apathy... Dominik is doing a better job at procrastinating.” Especially considering that he'd not yet cracked open a book.
“Fat chance, Straw boy...” How did that saying go? Oh yes, misery loved company.
Aren looked upon both Maddy and Raine, sinking further into his chair. ”Considering I don't want the boss lady to flay me alive, I'd better actually try and get this stuff processed.” And that wasn't ever going to happen. Ever.

Omega, Location: Kitchen Dear god is this gonna turn into a cooking show?
Christian stepped back from the sink and went over to his own spot by the table. Probably glad to not be cleaning dishes, which was understandable. When he said something about them needing to be thrown in the dishwasher he shrugged, "I've always preferred to wash them by hand, but thanks for letting me know."
Roland's hands went straight to work the moment he opened the book to the right page. He quickly grabbed some bacon pieces and began to slice off the rind. His knife dancing along the cutting board, his fingers moving quickly as he rotated the meat to remove every piece of fat off of each piece of bacon. As his fingers removed the lardon and separated it into sticks, he heard a pleasant thank you from Shandra. It appeared that she herself did not have any dishes, but the thank you was taken for what it was meant for.
"Your welcome." he said to her, looking at her as he placed the rind and lardons into a pan and let them simmer, "I apologize Shandra, that is your name right? Dr. McCoy told me your power makes it difficult for you to eat processed foods if I am not mistaken. Well, I took the liberty of finding all kinds of natural, organic, and free-range ingredients I could. Not just for you, but let's face it we could all do with some food that isn't entirely processed. That is, if you or anyone else here is interested."
The simmering bacon behind him slowly grew in noise as he went to the oven and set it to the right temperature. If memory served, 450 degrees was the right way to go. Grabbing the beef, he grabbed some paper towels and began to dry the beef cubes. As he made his way through drying he then heard Shandra say something to Leoin about baking a cake, his ears perked a bit.
Looking at Leoin and Shandra, "If you're both interested, I was actually going to bake a chocolate cake myself. I heard Cissa loves chocolate if I'm not mistaken." he'd heard someone say something about how she practically eats her weight in chocolate, which is kind of scary if one took thought in that, but that was for another time. Roland pointed over to the cabinets, "I got the ingredients there for one, I marked them with an "R" if the idea strikes your fancy."
One might call him hyper, or even a little crazy. But to be honest, Roland was restless. He was used to living a life where, for the most part, he could get killed on a regular basis. 16 years of living with a coked out bookie don't exactly make for a "slow paced" person. Professor picked up on that, and suggested he take up a hobby. He immediately then had to add that it could not be violent in any shape or form. His reasoning was some lame cop out saying I grew up in violence blah blah blah.
And so, he wound up picking cooking. Partly because Dr. McCoy suggested it to him, and partly because he found he was pretty good at it. As the aromas of different foods cooking in various states filled the kitchen, he was in heaven. The world he lived in was not the one he resided in when he was in a kitchen, he was in a different one, altogether his and his alone. It took him out of his head, made him focus on what was right in front of him.
Fortunately, Ms. Grey found it important to her sessions to let him continue. She was what one may call "unorthodox" in her methods for counsel. Not one to sit him down in a chair and ask him questions about dreams, she met with him once a week in various places. At the library, in the courtyard, in the kitchen, all usually over a healthy lunch. And there they would just talk, about the weather, about the past, about anything. She never pushed him anywhere he didn't want to go, granted if she wanted she could do all kinds of things in his head. But for the strangest reason, he felt that this was all her, nothing in his head, that he was talking to. And he was glad for it.
She was probably the first real person that sat down and talked to him like a human. Professor Xavier talked to him like a patient, but Ms. Grey was not that kind of woman. She talked to him not at him, and he enjoyed that.
Hopefully he could get her a plate of this later tonight, as part of a thank you for all she had done for him.

Name: Lexi Blythe Abilities: Aerokinesis Team: Alphas Location: Outside to new room “Sorry, Reg!,” Lexi called back to her new teammate, apologizing for apparently scaring the girl. She watched with amusement though when she saw a chunk of the bleachers crawl up Reggie’s hand. Molecular mimicry, the girl said. That was a very interesting ability.
It was a shame she couldn’t keep the winds at bay from a distance, but she wasn’t going to just sit around to make things easier for everyone. She had things to do. Knowing full well that she probably wasn’t going to be able to do this the rest of the day, she let the currents of air flow around her without a second thought, lifting her up off of the ground.
While she was floating up effortlessly, she heard a new person’s voice enter her ears out of nowhere. A green guy wound up meandering into their meeting, immediately introducing himself as Fink or Adam. She didn’t think anything of it. Her mother had a few mutant friends back in Houston whose mutations were completely physical. Seeing a green skinned boy was the least shocking thing that she had seen in her lifetime.
And almost instantly, he made a pass, in French nonetheless, at Aurelie. She just rolled her eyes and ignored the comment, going against her better judgment and keeping her mouth shut. All she could do was lift herself higher up in the air.
While she was roughly six feet off the ground, she turned around when she heard Leonardo asking if he could join them. “I don’t mind at all,” Lexi called back while flipping around in the air. She always felt such freedom when she could flitter about in the skies, even if it was just for a brief moment. Lexi danced in the air some more and when she spun around to see her teammates at the bleachers, she noticed a new face (Brayden). Curious that he wasn’t at the meeting when it started, but… everyone had their reasons and own way of doing things.
Lexi flew down a bit closer to the ground when she saw that Tsukino had joined herself, Aurelie, and Leonardo as they were heading inside. What the girl said about training, it made sense. Learning how to work as a team, her defensive capabilities coupled with any offensive ability could be quite devastating. They’d just need to work out any and all kinks.
“Sure, Tsukino!,” Alexandria said, a grin falling over her features, “But I have to move my things still. That might take a little bit of time.” She had gotten her flying jones out of her system finally, and she let her toes touch the ground as she commanded what currents of air around her to disperse.
She listened intently to Aurelie as she spoke to Tsukino. Though, she did understand what the blonde meant, but it seemed that the barrier creator’s feelings were kinda hurt? Alexandria couldn’t tell, but Tsukino did head inside almost immediately, using one of her barriers as a makeshift umbrella. Lexi made a note to herself to at least catch up with her later, if nothing more than to take the girl up on her offer to train.
What Aurelie said was true, changing teams was quite the nerve wracking experience, though with how friendly everyone was so far, it made things a lot easier. That friendliness was on display when her new teammate asked Lexi if she’d want to meet up for dinner later on. “Sure, yea. That sounds fun,” Lexi said, looking at the blonde momentarily before shifting her eyes over to Leo. “As long as it keeps our noses out of the books.” The sentiment Aurelie expressed was most assuredly echoed in that studying was the least of her worries right now.
“I’ll see you two later!,” Lexi said to both Aurelie and Leonardo as she walked back into the institute. It was a shame she couldn’t hang around a tad longer, but there was far too much to do.
**
Alexandria took the long way to her old room. She hated packing her things, honestly. She had never moved once until she was sent to New York by her parents and getting jostled around like this was a new experience for her. Even something as simple as changing rooms was somewhat heartbreaking. It was with a sigh that she entered her old room for the last time. To her credit though, she didn’t bring much with her in the way of personal belongings, which made her packing experience that easier. Most of her clothes were light enough, although plenty, that she could pack it all into two duffels. The only things she had hanging in her closet were two dresses that she never wore except for special occasions. And since she had yet to be involved in a special occasion around here, all those garments did was collect dust and the stench of mothballs.
Not much time had passed and Alexandria had all her dresser drawers emptied, her clothes stuffed into the duffels that sat upon her bed. The aforementioned dresses were laid out as well, still in the bags they were packed in the last time she had them cleaned and pressed. All that was left were her personal effects. Taking out a small backpack, she began tossing her things into the empty void of the bag. It wasn’t much, just the school issued laptop, her mp3 player, some framed family photos, and couple of medals she had won from her youthful days in gymnastics. That was something she was most proud of and always had them on display.
It was a struggle for her to carry it all at once, but Lexi did. The small pack was slung over her right shoulder, one of her duffels was slung over her left. In her left arm, she had the dresses draped and in her right hand, she held the other duffel. God she wished she had telekinesis like Aurelie. Now it was just the journey to her new room. She did know where she was going, right? She tried remembering, oh how she tried. That was when it hit her. Room 257. That was where she was going to reside now.
**
Getting to the door of her new abode, she dropped the duffel in her right hand and opened the door slowly, not really sure what or who to expect. To her surprise, there was no one in here, but… someone had just moved in recently. So one of the new girls is my roommate? I wonder who it is…, she thought. But she didn’t waste much time wondering as she kicked her duffel through the doorway and entered the room herself.
Taking her things and setting them on the empty bed on the other side of the room, (the one closest to the windows), she went about doing what she needed to do. First thing she did was open the small backpack with her personal effects and took out her family photos; One of her mom and dad together, one of her brother Rick, and one final full family portrait. It was on the upper-right corner of the family photo that she hung her medals.
The family photo was taken well before Lexi started to get that little bit of a wild streak that was now in her possession. It had even been taken before her mutation manifested itself. She sighed to herself, knowing that she did miss home and missed what training it was that her mother had given her at the time. But, again, life was about new experiences and what exactly you did when going through them. That much she did know. And that was something she always had taken to heart.

Omega Lounge This just in. Fire hot. News at eleven. While the new person introduced as Hax by Narcissa was quickly put in his place by said Omega leader who revealed what he had shown was of a rather personal nature. Hax lost nearly all respect from Megan at that moment. Blackmail was a cowards tactic and this guy apparently had his head up his own backside. Megan simply decided to ignore him for the time being and go about her day. So on that note she focused on the up and coming training session that Narcissa was planning for and decided to just get up and go grab a bite to eat before deciding what to do with herself for the rest of the day. What did she want to do? Well she was hungry so getting something to eat sounded like a good idea. As for the room she was in with the departure of the Omega leader silence seems to have fallen and no one seemed to want to break it. Megan decided to clear her throat and start to move on with her day. Staring with something to eat. ”Aaahhhh...” She said breaking the silence that had fallen in the wake of Narcissa’s departure from the room. ”I’m going to go and grab a quick bite to eat. Anyone care to join me?” She offered getting up. She glanced at Kerrigan and Orchid curiously. ”Breakfast...or Brunch or lunch or whatever meal happens to correspond with the current time?” She asked before holding up her hands. ”Sadly I can’t offer to cook for you...I can however scratch your back...” She said trying to lighten the still tense mood in the room after the little event. Megan didn’t really glance at Hax but didn’t restrict him from the offer. She didn't want to appear rude after all.

Omega: Student Lounge - Mingling before Lunch The redhead could breath a sigh of relief when she realized that no one was going to die at this meeting. A slight smirk formed on her features when her green eyes glided over to Orchid and her response to everything Kyle had said, returning to her leader when the blonde began her retort. From what she could tell, they had obtained a pretty good group of newbies - well, with one possible exception. But as Cissa cooly put him in his place before excusing herself from the meeting, Kerrigan watched as the leader walked away. So they did have a danger room session coming up - that was at least something to look forward to. Turning her attention back to the group that was still assembled, she wanted to make sure that she mentioned Roland's dinner. It could be a good informal way for them to meet the rest of the team that didn't show up to the meeting. Clearing her throat, she hoped to catch their attention before they wandered off on their own for awhile, making sure to speak loudly and clearly. " One more thing. Our fellow Omega, Roland is making a big french dinner for everyone tonight in the kitchen around seven. It isn't required, but it should be a lot of fun, so try to make it if you can." A smile on her face indicated that it was far from an order, nodding to show that everything was done for now and they were free to go about their daily business. As for herself, she wasn't sure what she was going to do for the rest of the day. Considering she just showered and did her hair, another workout might just be a waste of water. Thankfully, one of the new teammates, Megan asked about going to the cafeteria for some food, extending the invitation to the Omegas present. Kerri was never one to turn down a mean - she needed to replenish on calories and protein after working out anyways. " Sure, I've got nothing to do this afternoon," she said with a smile, hauling her bag over her shoulder before making her way over to her lunch companion, looking around to the rest of them with an inviting look. It would be good for her to get to know the new members of the team - good working relationships were important on the field. Not to mention, she could answer any questions that they may have been too shy to ask Cissa during the meeting. The redhead knew, probably better than anyone else, how intimidating the girl could be. Kerrigan was just blessed to always be on her good side - a fortunate position she did not take for granted. " Oh, I can't cook to save my life either. Thankfully, we have some really good cooks around, who always like to prepare a meal. And the food in the cafeteria isn't too shabby either," she said with a soft laugh as the girl apologized for not being able to cook them anything for lunch. Hey, they couldn't all be good at everything! Sure, this was a school for the gifted, but there had to be a limit somewhere. After all, most of them were exceptionally good-looking, had super powers and were generally above average intelligence. That had to be enough.

Omega - Kitchen to Lounge - You just can't fight the Itis
“When didn’t that guy throw a hissy fit?,” Christian said to Shandra’s remark about the former Alpha ice princess. “Seriously. He seemed to be all… sulky and whatnot ever since I got the call-up.” What she said about Antonio getting his hand frozen did tell a lot about the former Alpha’s character. Just cause he got all pissy with someone, he decided to turn them into a living ice cube. Christian was just lucky the kid was sans powers when the country bumpkin confronted the guy. He was quite sure he could not have absorbed that kind of attack and would have wound up as a living statue or worse; Frosty the Woodsman.
He took down the rest of his juice in one swig before filling the glass halfway again, closing the carton up after he was done with it. “Dunno if seein’ me breakin’ my wrist would have been amazing to watch or not,” Christian said dryly, “But, somethin’ tells me it’d have been worth it.” It wasn’t that he didn’t know how to throw a punch, it was that he didn’t know how to properly. Not when it was so much easier to flip whatever rifle or pistol he was using around and club something into submission.
Again, Christian took down the juice in one swig. Only this time, he took the now empty glass and set it near the sink before taking the carton of juice back over to the fridge. It wouldn’t be proper to let others clean up his mess, or so he thought. Just as he closed the refrigerator door, he heard Shandra ask another rather pointed question. “I have no clue, honestly,” he said to the redhead sitting upon the countertop. “Haven’t even ran into her today… so… your guess is as good as mine.” Christian could only offer a shrug.
And with that shrug, he began to make his way out of the kitchen. “I’ll see y’all around,” he said looking over at everyone momentarily. “Take it easy.” The moment the words escaped his lips, he headed through the doorway and through the ever winding Institute halls. As he walked, unsure of what it was he was going to do next, he slid his hands into his pockets. He truly had done everything that he had planned to do this morning from his run to his morning workout. Maybe if he got bored, he’d go workout again, he wasn’t too certain.
Stifling a yawn as best he could, Christian could feel the effects of a mythological condition setting in, one that only set in after consuming some good food. The Itis was taking over and he was definitely feeling drowsy. Though, as he walked, he could hear the ever present and… quite forceful clicking of high-heeled shoes hitting tile. After stifling yet another yawn, his eyes refocused and he saw his much shorter team leader, Cissa, marching with determination through the halls.
“Ma’am,” he said politely as he walked passed her, taking note of the sour look on her face. If he were wearing a hat, he would have tipped it in her direction. Of course, when didn’t that woman have a sour look upon her face? Seemed like she always had a stick up her rear for one reason or another, but... as always, he just left it alone. It wasn’t that he outright hated the woman, he didn’t. He had not a malicious bone inside him at all. He just couldn’t forget the way she had no remorse for getting his friend caught in the crossfire of her wrath upon his first day on the Omegas. That being said, he couldn't help but to respect her for the way she led the team. Besides, she was almost always willing to share whatever energy it was she wielded with him... whether he wanted it or not.
Christian really had no clue to where his feet were taking him, but the next thing he knew, he found himself walking towards the student lounge. Upon entering the area, he picked up a stray copy of the latest issue of Guns & Ammo and instantly plopped himself in the nearest chair.
As he opened up the mag, he took notice that Kerri was standing there, chatting away with two new faces. Must be Omegas?, he thought before figuring he should say something at the very least.
“Hey, what’s goin’ on?,” he said towards Kerri and the new faces (Orchid, Megan and Kyle). “Breakin’ the new blood in yet, Kerri?,” he asked jokingly before feeling yet another yawn overtaking him. Today was going to be a very lazy day indeed.

Location: Lounge Thoughts: That was… mildly entertaining… ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━☥ Orchid was not disappointed in the slightest at Narcissa’s reaction to the amateurish child who had polluted the area with his presence. She handled the situation with every bit of grace that she’d expected from the blond. The leader casually introduced the boy in a deliciously mocking tone, explaining his intended purpose on the team and making sure to point out just how stupid he was being. She was clearly much better at this than the little hipster believed himself to be.
It made her smile deviously.
The blond then explained the nature of Hax’s intended bargaining chip, which brought nothing more than an uninterested shrug. She had called it; it was certainly something personal, about as personal as one could get. Orchid was not typically one for pity, and this case was no different. If they died, the odds were they probably deserved it. Life functioned on the most basic principle of survival of the fittest. In that sense, Narcissa had proven herself worthy of living… her parents, and the rest of her victims, were not. It was simply how life worked. This was the purpose of mutation.
After her speech toward the boy, the Omega leader decided to leave, stopping only to destroy the boy’s laptop. The event brought a light chuckle to the Latina. She turned her attention toward the other two girls, completely ignoring Hax’s existence for the moment. ”Sounds like it may be fun,” she responded toward Kerrigan in a cool, friendly tone. She had nothing better to do the rest of the day; why not? She could use the opportunity to gauge the others, see if there were others she could use, or if there were any to watch out for that could be a threat to her goals.
She nodded politely in Megan’s direction then, accepting her offer of company. ”Well, I’ve a few drawings I need to complete for school, but I can do those later on tonight. I draw pretty fast, actually.” She added the last bit with a wink. She offered the others a smile as they joked about cooking, or their lack of skill in that department. She responded with a light laugh, ”There are very few Cuban women who cannot cook. Unfortunately, I am part of that minority among my peopleShe merely nodded a greeting toward the male newcomer to the group(Christian), then turned her attention back to the women, smiling. ”I’ll let you ladies lead the way.”━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━☥ Daylight devours your unguarded hours...xxx.. Name: Leonardo "Renaissance Man" Rossi Team: Alphas Location: Bleachers, heading inside Trouble With Deciding What To Do… Aurelie had asked whether Leonardo was tense from all of the new members by him stretching his shoulders out. Leo raised an eyebrow at this; he wondered why Aurelie was so curious. But then again, Leonardo was curious about her because she was a telekinetic. Most people never noticed whenever he stretched his shoulders… it was a reflexive nervous habit he had. He normally did it before he was about to be deployed on a mission, as well as crane his neck from side to side to pop the nitrogen bubbles in his vertebrae. Shaking his head, Leonardo spoke, “Nah, I’m fine.”Adam came up to the group and said something in French to Aurelie… or at least what he thought was French. Leonardo secretly rolled his eyes while pretending to survey the sky. In all honesty, Leonardo didn’t particularly like Adam. Yeah, he had saved the animal mimic’s life while they were in Halloween Town… but in personality, they were much different. On the field and in his personal life, Leonardo tried to be as professional as possible… Adam… not so much. Luckily, Aurelie didn’t seem to take to the green-skinned boy too much. To Leonardo, it appeared that the group they had formed quickly dissipated. Lexi announced that she had to go unpack, so that took her out of the group. Tsukino had mistaken that Aurelie meant practice with their abilities, so she opted out quite soon. Since no one else seemed to want to join their little group… it just left Leonardo and Aurelie. She had asked if he did in fact prefer the idea of training with their abilities. At first Leonardo was all for the idea; he wanted to see how the others looked while in action. But then he considered that it would only be him and Aurelie… and decided otherwise. Maybe they could see what was on TV…? Nah, the other students would more than likely be hogging the remote… and that was lame anyways. Leonardo finally caught on to the statement that Tsukino made about the piano. He quizzically glanced over to Aurelie. “Oh, so you play the piano?” Leonardo asked, genuinely interested. “I used to play a long time ago… as a bit of a hobby. Maybe you could show me a few keys?” He added the last statement as sort of a joke; but it was still a suggestion of something they could do.

Alpha - Cafeteria - Not a Shrink, but Pretty Darn Close Tara couldn't help but laugh as Dimitri pretended to be shocked at the proposition that they had something in common. It really wasn't all that farfetched - in reality they probably had a great many things in common, though whether that was a good or bad thing would remain to be seen. He immediately started to back pedal, the brunette shaking her head as she forced a swallow down, covering her mouth politely until she was sure she could speak without accidentally spitting residual food on him. He seemed pleased with himself underneath it all - glad that he could make her laugh. Tara liked that…it was always better when the people she surrounded herself with wanted to elicit emotions from her. It made the game that much more interesting. " Bad? What's so bad about the truth? We probably have more in common than you think," she spoke simply, taking another bite as he asked about the reputation that she was talking about. She had to assume that he wasn't joking - maybe he really was oblivious to the image, the aura if you will, that he radiated. Of course, the fact that he mistook her joking with genuine concern was telling in and of itself. " Oh? You don't have a reputation? Huh…well, and correct me if I'm wrong, but the majority of your companions seem to be from other schools. I mean, that says something about you - either you don't like mutants, or you like picking up girls that can't kick your a** for saying or looking at the wrong thing." She chose her words carefully, turning her gaze from him once more to mix her salad with her fork, as if only giving him half her attention before she continued. " And, again, feel free to stop me here, you don't seem to 'have fun' with the same girl twice…at least not from what anyone else around here sees, which I think might say something to your views of monogamy. Might add to the reason why you have to venture outside the Academy pool to get those nightly hook-ups. Oh, and there was that incident at the team party before our little trip to Hell - picking up non-mutants who then think the rest of us are freaks when they find out doesn't send the best message about your chosen lady-friends." Taking a bite of food, she rolled her neck from side to side, audible pops heard as she swallowed and washed it down with a swig from her water bottle. It was her impressions from watching people that fed her observations, fully knowing that some of them could be taken as a little insulting to a guy that prided himself on his ability to make women a little wobbly in the knees. Still, she would find his button - and push it repeatedly when she was bored. It might just take some searching to see where his soft spot was. Her eyes caught sight of someone entering the cafeteria and taking a seat off to herself with a lot of desserts on her tray ( Daylia). She was a redheaded Omega, but not Kerrigan or the other one. What was her name? Umm…Diana…or something like that. Considering they were not on the same team, Tara had never taken the time to get to know her, but she cast the girl a friendly smile. Nothing wrong with appearing friendly, right?

Alpha - Library - Have no fear - Raine is here! Raine smiled back at Dominik's cheeky grin, her hands moving to her hips as he mentioned going anywhere but the library. Aren asked her to go along, her smile widening as she tilted her head ever so slightly to the side, as if giving his offer quite a bit of thought. " Well…I guess I could be persuaded to lay off the books for awhile…but only for a good reason." Dom started to be a little more specific about where they were planning on going, but their study break was interrupted by Roland's entrance, inviting them all to a dinner party. Of course, the lightning bug might have been more polite and given an immediate answer if she wasn't caught off guard about his comments on her appearance. It was a little hard not to feel like a piece of meat in such a situation, but it only took her a few seconds to shrug it off, giving a nod. " Umm, I'll see if I can make it," she responded before he was gone as randomly as he came through. Dominik's quip about Ritalin made her chuckle, brunette curls bouncing about her shoulders as she shook her head. They were once more interrupted by Cissa's voice over Aren's com, Raine visible grimacing at the sound of the Omega Leader. The two of them had a fleeting moment of cordiality in Catalina - it had been a nightmare since then. She never actively avoided anyone before Narcissa - now, she was actually getting pretty good at it. Of course, hanging out with an entire group of Omegas, like she was right now, might be asking for trouble. At least it didn't sound like she was planning on making an appearance there any time soon. Aren motioned for them to go on without him, sinking back into his chair. Raine got the distinct feeling that he would rather be anywhere but in the library with his Government book, her gaze falling sympathetically on his form. If he was being serious about failing, that was just something she could not in good conscience let one of her friends do. Not when they had an academic all-star like Raine at their constant disposal. She already had a hand in virtually all the after-school activities - why not add tutoring to the list? Approaching the table where he was sitting, Raine sat down next to him, propping her head in one hand as she looked down at his book. " I hope you realize that you're making this too hard on yourself, Aren. You can ask Sophie - I make an excellent tutor. I happened to pass Government with flying colors last year, and since I think you're cute and all, and I just happen to have some extra time on my hands, I'd be willing to offer my services for the all-time low price of free." Her eyebrows raised as if inviting him to take her up on her offer, though he was clearly free to reject. She would never take something like that personally - Raine was fully aware that most students didn't take academics as seriously as she did. Glancing up at Dom and Maddy as well, she cast them both a smile. " You could take advantage of that offer too, you know. I mean, if you want to. It doesn't have to be Government."
