"Yeah... Like in the forest, but on a smaller scale," She looked at Sepheran with a knowing nod; it seemed to her like he had been there too, in the forest during the attack... At least she wasn't the only one who realized the the two events could be linked somehow. She took it as a chance for revenge for that time, really, but it was still dangerous, and she had no intention of dying any time soon.
[Add me on AIM; my sn is XDragain. |D I think some things should be solved OOCly; incidentally, some of us had figured out part 1 already, but the answer is supposed to be a secret, so lets 'fade to black' when solving it ICly.
Gonna time skip to them returning to the tent soon, since lets's keep this hint/code a secret. ;D]
"Uh... Its a captain's log written on a piece of paper with the Amityville logo," She frowned at Sepheran's and Arachne's questions, scanning through the note before looking up again, shining the light at the rest of the group, "Basically talks about what we're experiencing now - missing staff, being watched by strangers, a jammed portal... Hm, portal? Petro, I think the portal was what brought you here? But if its jammed... We can't get back...?" Her frown deepened at the thought, although something else soon caught her eye, "Hm, what's this?"
There was something else below the note, placed in such a way that it would be easily missed if not for the fact that most of them had their flashlights on. Removing the thing, she blinked at it before passing it to the nearby Sepheran instead of Mac (who she had refused to let go of) - simply because the boil had asked. The note should soon be passed around for everyone to look at.
"... I don't get it... Like... Uh, this half a desk is in front of our eyes...?"
[Lizzy is not puzzle-smart. xD If your character "gets it", just put something like 'X explained their theory to the rest of the group', and everyone can go "OH, THAT SOUNDS RIGHT. LETS GO TRY IT"]

Mandy followed the group silently, frowning as the fear-draining was discussed. This had happened before?
And then the note was read out and she realized this had happened before. And the fact they'd heard nothing about it on the gossip mill did nothing to comfort her.
This had happened before and no one seemed to have talked about it.
That lead to the disturbing idea that it was because no one made it back.
H- How was the school getting away with this?
Pushing the disturbing thoughts away for now, not yet daring to voice them, she took her turn at examining the note.
....Right in front of their eyes?
"Hmmm, I'm not sure....", there was just so many things it could be.

A mysterious hooded figure has been watching the student's actions all this time. Out of nowhere the seemingly fade from the fog right in front of your student, grabbing them away from the others, pulling her out of the room and onto the deck of the ship. Your student is being attacked!
HP: 7
Damage: 0 Mandy gave a shout as she felt herself being pulled away, the last thing the others would see of her being her shocked face. For all her attention she hadn't seen that coming at all. At least it hadn't actually hurt her yet right? This was different to the others, they'd been attacked whilst with the group. Still.... Just because it hadn't taken first strike didn't mean she shouldn't, despite the oddities. Or well, she could delay for just a second, her curiosity demanded it. "Who are you guys?", the question wasn't entirely hostile, just cautious. No one had actually gotten an answer yet as to who and why these guys where attacking - not that any answer would really make the damage right. HP: 25

There is no explanation for their actions, they move quickly and efficiently, cracking the whip towards the ghoul.

[ X_Bleeding Roses_X ] At her opponents stony silence and the sound of the whip cracking Mandy gave a huff. Looks like these guys where all fight and no talk. Readying her bat she went in for the first strike. CRACKHer hit connected, though not really the hardest she'd ever delivered. HP: 25

The hit had connected, but the figure did not even flinch at the hit. Moving around, as if dancing around its opponent, the figure held out the whip horizontally before spinning around, the whip crackling to life as an eerie green glow enveloped it. The whip stings upon contact, leaving your student feeling oddly tired.

Damage: 0 Mandy didn't question why the figure was just letting her attack without fighting back instead she just considered herself lucky after her last taste of the whips abilities. The fact it was glowing brighter was not comforting. A feeling came over her that it was time to finish this, they'd had their odd exchange and now one must beat the other - such was the way of these things. Eyes narrowing in concentration she threw her all into a last attack. Only to completely miss.What? This was not part of their pattern. HP: 19
