Karloff turned his head slightly, "He's already here."  Materializing out of the woods, Lucian stepped out. Much shorter than Karloff, more stout, he stands there assessing. "I wondered when you were going to invite me in." His voice is deep but flat.

Lucian tosses the blade aside lightly, "There, is that better?" He stands there unmoving. "You're teaching everyone now father?"
Karloff nods easily, "Those who need it and desire it."

The redheaded mare shrugged. "It would have been more fun if I could have gotten one. Of course...it might be better if I get a good grip on my basics before adding sharp objects, right Sifu?" she called cheerfully.

Lucian smiled, "The only sharp objects you need are your teeth. Anything else is just..." He shrugs lightly. "Enough talk don't you think."
Karloff shakes his head, "Lucian doesn't like to joke around much. He's not very...sociable."

Sonja frowned, "I can see why you two get along so well together. Alrighty then, where do we start?" She crouched down and tried to steady her body, "At the part where I fall down and lose my breath or just barely get the wind knocked out of me?"

Lucian couldn't stop himself from smiling again, "There won't be any just barely this time." He waited for her move patiently.
Karloff purred lightly, "I'm far more sociable than him. He's just...different."

Sonja snorted, "I can tell, he's a real charmer." She shifted slightly and tried to fake to the right and kick up from below.

Lucian takes a different approach than his father Karloff. Instead of trying to dodge the attack, he attempts to absorb while pushing hard and fast into her side.

Lucian winced at his ribs slightly, but didn't stop watching her. "I quickly learned the best way to fight was to just be tougher--or more hard headed, whichever term you prefer."
Karloff laughed, "He's always been...rather....like a brick wall, ever since his basket. Everything just kind of rolls off of him."

"Be tougher, yeah, mark that one off your to-do list," she said noting a sharp pain in her shoulder. She tried to roll it out, "And I wish I would have just rolled off him, would have been more gentle. But me, no, I bounce..."

Karloff chuckled lightly, "It's best when we can of course. But it takes just the right temper to do that."
Lucian didn't move a muscle as he watched her. He doesn't even blink his eyes when suddenly he attacks. Feigning to the left, he kicks at her from the right while snapping with his front teeth on the left.

Sonja yelped but this time managed to roll out of the charger's path (just barely - she felt the wind off of this one). As she stumbled to her feet she tried to give him a good kick in return.

Lucian felt her feet graze over his skin before it hit him hard in the side. He felt the air gush out of him before he gritted his teeth. Butting his head hard at her side, he used the momentum to hurl the rest of his body forward.
