Trance soundlessly agreed and began walking in the direction that he could feel irritation coming from, physically. His expression, or body language, changed some at this -- though only noticeable if you were trained in noticing such things or knew him well. He lead Karin for less than a minute at a brisk pace, due to his long and muscled legs from being on his own for so long, and stopped a few yards away from the running water. He would be displeased if he had to go closer, or touch it.

Zeta had been waiting for an invitation such as this, and jogged onward at the mention. She lifted her tail, smacking its soft under fur against Silver's chin as it curled over her back as quickly as she'd moved on with the task. A pleased smile hinted on her muzzle as she took the lead for now, already thinking on what deer she would like best this morning.

Trance nodded to Karin and turned back for the den's direction, his paw prints in the dirt that she could follow if she needed to. He could not sense any threats nearby, and so felt no obligation to hang around more than he had to.

Zeta was trotting on her way, still unable to tell what was a normal smell here and what was not. She hadn't picked up on any vampires yet, though, and that might have been odd. Though, they might not be as close to the den as one might imagine. Her ears weren't really listening to the sounds, since animal sounds were also unknown to her in this area. Why pay attention unless her hackles stood up in a sense of fear?

"Are you going to be the chaser or the biter?" She asked Silver, not wanting a mix up on the field when they got to the open, where deer most often were found grazing. She happened a glance to the side and stopped so suddenly, any more speed would have hurt her legs to halt in. She looked attentively out to the tree line on their right. She was sure there had been someone there, but, now she didn't see anyone, or sense anything at all.

Zeta took a forced step forward from Silver's run-in, but didn't immediately react to it, still looking out towards the tree-line. Her expression changing from Whoa, Alert to Discouraged, Doubtful. Her attentive and tall body posture slowly fell, taking a long moment to answer the white-furred male. "Nothing," she said, "Sorry."

She took a step onward, looking back ahead slowly, and before her second step forward came all the way down, she swore she heard a twig snap against the dirt off to the right again. Zeta straightened back up and looked back in that direction again, standing tall and alert once more. There was no way she was imagining all this, was there?

Zeta shook her head and stepped around Silver, walking on with her ears back to listen for anything more while they continued to find a hunt. "Nothing," she said, "Just thought I saw something and then the branch snapped or whatever."

Zeta was all for exploration and finding possible confrontations, but she did have some sense of intelligence. Neither of them knew this area, making it more dangerous, and Zeta preferred to face serious danger on her own; her mother always claiming it was her protective side. That was questionable. Also, it was still early morning; vampires could still be on their way back to a nest, and she and Silver knew nothing about each other strengths and weaknesses -- something good to know when going into something.

Not to mention, her stomach was empty, and she knew everyone else had to be feeling the same. "Lets get a deer," she replied, making her way forward and not looking back to the area.

((I know, but it was too long for me to type enough to cover it. And I need to get copyrights put on my pictures like these so I feel less nervous about using them online... Also, should I have Zeta get a small injury in this hunt or not? Jw since it would add something to this.))

Zeta looked Silver over and commented, "I don't think you could carry that much." She sniffed the air herself and looked about, having picked up on her own favorite hunt: moose. No matter what gender it was, as long as it did not have calf with it, moose would feed their young pack on it's own, and take both of them to drag back towards the den with them. "There's no reason to kill many of anything when we need most of them to stay here and help populate -- especially when we're not the only predator out here."

Zeta rolled her eyes at the attitude of a male and loped off on her own for a bit, and nearly into the antlers of bull moose. She leaped to the side and grinned at it like a wolf through her panting at it as he lifted his head. She'd told Silver that a bull moose was enough to feed the whole pack, and hopefully he would get the idea when he caught up and saw this.

With a snort, the huge animal turned towards her and pinned his ears. She was close enough that he could see her, despite the species' bad eyesight; so it wasn't a shock when he stomped forward to hopefully intimidate her away from his grazing and landed on her left hip, his sharp hoof crushing down it to her paw, too. Zeta yelped for a second and then jumped towards his hips in turn, biting them and hanging on while he lifted and spun her with him as he ran in a circle and bellowing in protest. Her tail wagging in her newest ego boost, still in mid-air.

Zeta wasn't fond of acting aggressive towards an animal, but she was fine with Silver keeping the moose facing one way, giving her the chance to claw her way onto it's uneven back and plunge into it's spine. With both jaws on it's spine and throat, the moose bellowed pleadingly one more time before collapsing, where it made a quite sound, staying still below them in weakness.

When it was finally out of suffering, Zeta finished sliding off and lowering her head with a semi-tail wag towards Silver in recognition that this was technically his kill, holding her injured leg off the ground without trying. She was grateful to the sunlight now, knowing it kept away blood-suckers where there was so much of it in the air now.
