Again there was silence, not a word to be heard about the where abouts of the wolf girl. It seemed this stranger was going to hold their tongue until the very end.

Shifting their stance as Shun parried, it looked like his counter strike was going to hit for a moment, but the stranger brought up their free arm. It didn't seem like that would do much good until the sound of metal hitting metal echoed through the air, a wide blade extending from the gauntlet their sleeve hid.

Pushing the dagger back, the stranger drew back their sword and made a quick swipe at one of Shun's hands to try and get him to drop his weapons. They seemed to be rather quick on their feet and with an untold number of weapons at their disposal there was no saying where this fight would progress.

The stranger managed to turn swiftly enough to avoid the attack to the abdomen, though the margin for error was slight. Bringing up their sword they used it to push the dagger away once again before coming around for their own attack. Now that Shun was so close they decided to use the knife gauntlet instead of the sword, throwing out a straight jab toward Shun's shoulder, the wide blade at the front of their attack. The knife seemed to extend a good four inches passed their balled fist so there would be a decent amount of damage if it managed to hit.

The edge of the blade was able to nick his shoulder but it just wasn't satisfying enough. As shun swiped at their legs they swung down with the long sword in their possession to block the in coming attack. Shun's blade just barely reached the material of their pants, again leaving very little margin for error. Cutting things this closely was bound to backfire eventually.

Instead of making another attack, the strange took a leap back to put a little distance between them so that their long sword would be of more use. So close the item was hard to maneuver and was more of a hindrance. Once they were back a couple of feet the stranger swiped at Shun's hands again trying to disarm him.

Seeing Shun dodge roll to the side his attacker was ready for the first attack, moving to the side to barely miss the blow with his dagger but they weren't quite prepared for the second. As they went to move to avoid it, the dagger grazed across the thick jacket covering their person, cutting through the material like a knife through butter. It seemed like the blade had also managed to cut through a little flesh but the wound looked shallow, hardly enough to slow this stranger down.

As they took another step back the stranger took hold of the long sword with both hands. When they did the item gave off a soft light before it transmuted again, this time turning into a naginata. Apparently they were going to try to keep Shun at a distance as they thrust the bladed tip forward toward the assassin.

When the attack missed, the stranger drew back watching Shun make a run for the nearest building. Holding the weapon in one hand they followed behind the assassin, their steps light against the ground. Not wanting Shun to get too far ahead and get tactical advantage on the layout, they rushed into the building, the weapon poised and at the ready to strike at anything that moved.

The stranger had spotted Shun not far off when they had entered the building. Just as soon as they headed in that direction though he suddenly vanished. Going suddenly still it seemed like they were startled by this sudden development but in fact they were listening for the slightest of sounds. When they heard the soft shuffling behind them the stranger realized it was too late to dodge so they did the next best thing.

A soft light appeared against but this time it was not the weapon that transformed. This time it was the person. In an instant where Shun's attacker had been there was a thin long legged cat in their place. The blades passed on either side of the creature shortly before it dropped to the ground darting off a ways before it transformed into something bigger. It seemed to retain its cat-like shape but instead of a small house cat there was now a leopard staring Shun down. It rumbled softly in its throat, light blue eyes judging the assassin's movements before making any moves of their own.

The leopard began to circle, its claws tapping against the floor as it walked. Its bright blue eyes stayed focused on Shun, waiting for a moment to strike. When he seemed to realize something at least, the large cat's maw almost twisted into a smile. At least as much of a smile as it could manage.

It didn't speak though, instead the cat suddenly lunged forward without much of a clue to what it was doing, bringing up a large paw to swipe at Shun's legs when it was close enough. While the strange was intent on attacking it seemed they wanted to injure Shun slowly. Inflict little wounds, slow him down, and make him suffer.
