Asuka rubbed her body close to Kaitos."Ok kaito I trust you'll be here if something big tries to take me." her voice pitch dipped and caused this to sound more like an unneeded attempt at seduction. this wasnt her intention she just knew how to get to Kaito. she looked around for anything that could hold her interest. so far nothing, no monkeys no pretty birds, then again she didnt care much.

Kaito smied like he won some precious treasure. Not like he needed one. He had Asuka. She was his treasure. "Don't worry about something trying to take us. Big bad Sayre is gonna join us. She's scarier then anything in this jungle." As Kaito finished talking a branch was flung at him from the air, Sayre didn't like it when Kaito talked like that about her. She tossed a quick threat at him and cursed under her breath when the branch missed. "See? What did I tell you. Scary." He laughed and nuzzled Asuka.

Asuka snickered when the branch almost hit Kaito but still showed that she cared."looks like that could have hurt, huh?" she looked up and smiled at the direction that the branch came from."so sayres watching us huh? she must treally want us gone if shes making sure we get this far away.." this was a joke of coaurse to asuka Sayre wouldnt do something like that.

Sayre chuckled as she thought to herself. You better believe it. Finally going to have this crazy chick and horn dog out of my cave. She snorted from the air.
Kaito chuckled too, he knew exactly what Sayre was thinking and the snort confirmed it. He rolled his eyes. "Sayre is just gonna do an over head flight to see how many days it should take us to get to the other side. After that we won't need her much."

Asuka nodded." So after she leaves were on our own huh?" She was now kinda worried. What if we get attacked after she leaves?" This was now her concern. "also how long do you think it'll be? You know till we reach civilization?"
She looked around at the area around them. Then at the necklace and flower she was given. "Im happy your back Kaito."

]"Just you and me." Kaito nodded. "And don't worry about that, I promise you are safe with me." And she was. He might not look like a muscular fox but he was fast, and sometimes speed is hard to beat. "Once Sayre does her fly over we will be able to know a pretty good estimate. But to be safe, I'd say about a week." Kaito himself really didn't care how long it would take, he was more concerened about Asuka. "If you really don't care how long it might take, we could leave tomorrow morning." He smiled and gave her a kiss. "I know. Me too."

Asuka nodded,Kissing Kaito back and made a loud yawn."I'd like that." she said softly she was tired, and it would give sayre a chance to do her run around and not have to look as hard for them later.
she stopped and looked for a soft place to lay finding one quickly under a tree.she wondered how she ha gotten all the way out here in the first place. and looked at Kaito wondering what exactly he had done to make him do what he did.

Kaito smiled at Asuka. She really was tired, but the under a tree wasn't the best spot to sleep, not here. He went ove and lifted her onto his back. "You go ahead and sleep, I'm going to bring us somewhere safer than this." He knew of an old bear cave about ten minutes away. Maybe a bit longer with Asuka on his back, but he wasn't that tired, and he could make it fine on his on there.

Asuka groaned in her sleep,"okay..." her eys barely opening when he picked her up. they drifted close again and her tail wrapped around his waist the tip rubbing his chest.
a moment later she woke back up from the movement, and looked around."where are we going?" she asked her voice not fully alert.
she stretched her limbs out slightly and gave a big yawn.

"Some where safe, don't worry." They must have been closer than he expected cause he saw a cave up ahead that had a warm glow to it. Sayre was there earlier and preped the place for the two to sleep. He slipped inside and found some soft fluffy things that were stolen from a human tribe. Kaito carefully slid Asuka off of him and onto the fluff, then curled around her. "Now you can really sleep hun." He kissed the top of her head and hummed a song her usually heard Sayre humming. Kaito didn't care if he slept or not, he just wanted Asuka to sleep.

Asuka smiled when Kaito kissed her forehead. however it ended Asukas arm shot out and rested on his. she didnt want him to disappear while she slept, she was terrified that he was a dream and that she would wake up in the cave without him, or simply wake up and have the last 2 days been a lie."you'll be here when I wake up?"

Awww... Kaito pulled her close to him and held her clsoe. "Don't worry, I will be here when you wake up in the morning, and I will be here the next time you close your eyes rest at night, and I will be there when you close your eyes for the last time." He snuggled Asuka and hummed a lullabye someone in the out Band sang at night.

Asuka smiled and snuggled into his fur"good Im glad" she closed one eye and started to hum her own song. One her mother used to sing however she knew there were no words to it.
"as long as your here I wont be sad." she had stopped to add one statement before falling asleep.

Kaito curled around Asuka as soon as she fell asleep. He wasn't tired at all. He would wait for Sayre to come back with her estimate, and just watch the cave and Asuka. He was perfectly fine with that. He smiled at the sleeping Asuka.

The next morning
Asuka woke up with a yawn, seeing that Kaito was still close by she knew that the last day wasnt a dream."hey....Kaito, anyword from sayre?" she yawned before reaching all 4 paws out to try to stretch.
she was curious about how far they would have to go, to reach the forest, or if they would even go that far.
as far as she cared as long as it had a good amount of life she would be happy. especially since the desert was so hot, she wondered how Kaito could life there.
she rolled over and stood up her tail twitching once, before she looked at him again with a smile."I had a good sleep."
