"My nanny said it was my mother..." "...my butler says it is my father..." "...I say it is an annoying blue light that wont go away" Violet Moonbeam Violet sighed and finished eating. She got up and helped wash and put the dished away. She then walked out back to the main entrance and sat on her throne. "Orcus, why are you so protective, i know its your job but not many people are out to get me" she said feeling bad that he hadn't eaten at all.

Orcus didn't take his attention from his surroundings but did give a quick look at Queen Moonbeam. "I already explained. It's not if they're out to get you, it's when they're coming. Anything can happen at any moment and I have to protect you from it all. That's why I'm so protective." He spoke softly but clearly. "Do you have any other plans for today? Just so that I can prepare before hand."

"My nanny said it was my mother..." "...my butler says it is my father..." "...I say it is an annoying blue light that wont go away" Violet Moonbeam "No" she said simply. She then took out a book and read for the next few hours only glancing at Orcus between every few chapters. By 8 o'clock she finished reading and started locking all the castle doors and windows. By 9 she was ready for bed and started heading up to her room. "Good Night Orcus, dont tire yourself out to much" she said then closed the door to her room.

Orcus bowed his body and gave the queen a smile. Once she closed the door he placed his hand on it and a barrier of light went over it that left a thin string on his finger which he connected to his temple. The string stretched as he went down the stairs and to the kitchen, picking himself up a pear and chowing down on it. He finished and tossed it out. It would eventually decompose so he didn't feel bad about it.
With a quick sprint he jumped up on the walls of the dining hall and prepped the windows with five pressure sensors running horizontally and parallel and a light berrier which would act like thin glass, alerting anyone in the area ahould someone attempt to break in. After finishing with the windows he headed to his room for a quick rest. The string connected to his temple would wake him up should anyone open the door but since it was energy, it was invisible and so was the barrier.

"My nanny said it was my mother..." "...my butler says it is my father..." "...I say it is an annoying blue light that wont go away" Violet Moonbeam Violet got up in the middle of the night and quietly opened her door. She walked up the stares and up onto the tallest tower on the castle. Once outside she stood and just stared at the scenery down below.

Orcus got up quickly as a high shriek awoke him and his head ached. He pulled the string, severing the connection and the headache. He put on his helmet and threw his armour over his robes, running upstairs to where he heard the queens foot steps. He reached the top and looked around, making sure no one was around. He stepped besides her to check the tower's perimeter and stood there quietly.

"My nanny said it was my mother..." "...my butler says it is my father..." "...I say it is an annoying blue light that wont go away" Violet Moonbeam Violet jumped so startled when suddenly Orcus ran up and was by her side that she almost fell over the edge. "Orcus! How did you know.... What are.... Why are you up here!" she said feeling like someone had just dumped a bucket of ice water on her while fast asleep.

Orcus placed his hands near the queen, just incase she did start to go over the wall. He calmed as she returned to normal. "Let's just say you woke me." Orcus smiled. "What are you doing up here?" He was being nurturing so that she would forget about him being up here. "It's a cold night and you should rest up. Everything will still be here tomorrow." He spoke reassuring her so that she might return to her room.

She took a step away from Orcus crossed her arms in front of her. "This is where i come to be alone" she said quietly.

Orcus stood at his post in a defensive stance. "You know I can't leave you alone unless your under some sort of protection." He was stiff as a board while he spoke. "The best we can do is pretend I wasn't here." He was being sort of strict for a guard talking to his queen but it was all with good reason.

Orcus thought that the reaction was too sudden to be something he said but he asked because he was concerned. "Is this the point at which we pretend I'm not here?" He didn't quite know what to say so he counter balanced his last goofy remark with a more sensible, "Are you in some sort of emotional distress, my queen?" He looked on as she cried. "I'm here form emotional support too." He then, partly whispered, partly muttered, "I guess..."

She sat down and put cried into her knees. "Like you even care!" she shouted at his 'I guess' remark.

"That's not what I meant, my queen. I just didn't want to go so far as to say that you could trust me because you might have taken it as disrespectful." He rubbed the back of his head, the helmet got in the way but he did it anyway. He then turned his back and kept watch over the area with a sad glare. The actual reason for his lack of sympathy was because he couldn't get too close to anyone under his protection as a guard. That would create problems for both parties and he always kept it in mind while taking his arm and throwing on his armour.

"Orcus, how can you say you care so much when you hardly know me" she said sadly. She felt more alone then ever right now.
