Zirconia looked up at Hypnos at the introduction, staring as if she was encountering some new, alien creature. It had been a while since the old cat had to deal with smaller humans directly. They were pretty much the same, though, right?
Still... "If she knows him, she may instill some mercy in him if she can get close enough to talk to him," She thought out loud. She knew she certainly didn't want to be caught in an Eye's line of sight, though.
Her ears swiveled suddenly at a shriek.
"Ca--... Leto!" She announced. Remembering the Rota loss, she felt it was probably bad to announce a cadet's status in the midst of a battlefield. It was like announcing you had a weak left field to the opposing team. She stood up on her back legs, stretching almost like a meerkat for a split second to try and find the BMC cadet with her eyes before dropping down to all fours and mustering up the courage to sprint up to the tip of a jagged rock to try and see better.

Alkaid opened her mouth to protest, but was cut short as he reinforced his decision. She was in no place to argue with a Captain or her friend; if he thought she would serve better in the safety of his coat then she would do so. She knew she would be more effective if she didn't have to constantly worry about injury.
"Yes, hold still," she stood up a little taller than her previous hunched position, tugging the goggles and their clinging strap over his already damp hair. She held them out for him once she had pulled them off but used her free hand to try and help him tug the coat off.
Even in her relatively lighter clothing she could feel the heat starting to seep up from their feet and the humidity of the geysers making the air heavy and hard to breathe. She knew the coat would be much heavier to fight in but it would also be much safer in terms of exposed skin.

The ground was shaking underneath his feet, and while Merlin could manage well enough on his own it was a different story entirely when he had another senshi clinging to him. Merlin couldn't maintain his own balance plus Gianfar's, and tragically fell forward onto his knees. It was probably the most damage he had ever encountered, scraped knees and hands. At least it was almost... more graceful than falling straight onto his a**.
His cheeks burned with embarrassment, and he was stuck between deciding to gracelessly rise to his feet like nothing happened or sit on the ground like it was his idea to fall down. Unable to decide on either, he awkwardly hovered with his arms spread wide to keep his balance. "Sorry I..." he glanced to Gianfar, still embarrassed. "Yeeaaah... I'm not so good at this."
Was it his fault that they both fell? He blamed the mountain, and the angry-faise making this happen.

Evil landscape. Everywhere she went with senshi, there was sentient weather trying to kill her. First, ******** lightning storms. Then geysers. What was next? Mobile tornados? ... Honestly.
"This isn't really the time," she managed, both to dark-haired boy she thought she might recognize from Meadowview and Europa. She skittered away from the geyser that singed Europa, almost toppling over in her haste to get away. She felt almost... stronger than usual, but it was probably just adrenaline. ******** senshi weather.
Honestly, though, the only senshi battles she'd ever seen had been one where the scale-senshi and Wolframite had killed the centipede youma; the one where the glowing man had fought off Zinkenite; and Taranis against a youma and then Linarite. "Of course I know Taranis," she grumps, "he has an annoying habit of saving my life."

Square 6! Gigi stumbled along the uncomfortably warm rocks, trying to will the dream into giving her back her clumpy school boots. It wasn't working, though, and she was sure her socks were going to give out any second. There were people all over the place, now, and it looked more like a costumed mixer party than she thought a nightmare ought to. There were some people in pjs, though, which made her feel a little better about still being in her school skirt and very old t-shirt. Yay for not going to bed!
Then water seemed to come from everywhere like burst pipes under the landscape, steam hissing around her. *Now* it counted as a nightmare. She fled towards the nearest person, a normal-looking boy who was removing his shirt. Oh well, socks were important.
"What kind of a weird dream is this?"

Leopard's Eye finds Hypnos to be ridiculously adorable and amazing and just stops to, "Awwwwww," at her.
Yes.
That is all.

Tony looked at the senshi when she yelped, realizing he had scared her. When she shifted her gaze away from him his face burned red. He should have felt better that she wasn't staring at him in his boxers, but he was also well aware that she was looking away now because she we embarrassed by it already, so things were just going to be increasingly uncomfortable from here.
It was going to be a long night in hell, he was sure.
But he had to focus, as things were going crazy all around them, and would get worse as time went on. Opposing forces clashing, and that being who owned the realm still didn't seem too happy with them invading. He offered Gomeisa a thin smile, trying to look reassuring and calm.
"Anthony Darrow. And I've no idea. I just... woke up here, I think. It's all a blur. Oh! Be careful!" He leaped from his rock on instinct, landing almost on top of her to tackle her out of the way of geyser that, despite rising up like it was going to be dangerous, spurted disappointingly. "Oh, sorry," he stammered, quickly struggling to his feet and offering his hand to her. "I thought... it was going to... uh..."
Had he just leaped from that rock to the senshi? Looking at it, it seemed like a rather impressive distance for the thirty-eight year old librarian who only knew what gyms looked like from pictures on the TV. He was distracted from his embarrassment and his thoughts by a voice he recognized, turning his head to spot Ever not too far off.
And not looking hungover!
"Ah! Are you okay?" he called. Oh, high ground. Tony wanted to go to there.

"If you're too hot just rest it over your shoulders...He added tugging it free of the chain and undoing the buckles. Really his outfit was almost as absurd to get in and out of as Wolfram's...what did -that- say about his psyche, maybe he didn't want to know...he'd pretend at least it was a good thing. He wiped sweat from over and around the goggles, they trapped in some of his own perspiration but at least it would keep it out of his eyes. He dug in one coat pocket and pulled out some of his smoke pellets, dividing them between him and her. "Here...if you need cover use one of these, try mentally counting the steps between you and any obstacle or it'll burn your eyes, won't smell much worse than this place does either, ready?"

Ganymede continued to listen to Europa and the civilian girl talk, trying to keep track of what was going on in their conversation, but as there were names he didn’t recognize being thrown around, it was a bit difficult to do. So there was some person named Taranis then? He was going to assume whoever it was was on their side.
He frowned when he was bumped into by someone dodging out of the way of one of the geysers, though he tried not to snap at him when he noticed it was another civilian. Great. Now there were two of them to worry about. He didn’t say anything right away, just looked at him. He looked… kind of familiar, but he couldn’t remember if or when he’d seen him before. It took him a few moments before he finally realized it, remembering a day at the mall before Christmas and helping some guy shop at a bath store.
What was he doing here?
“Hey,” he began, “I know—" and then he stopped. There was no way he was going to reveal who he did and did not know. He’d prefer it if no one ever knew who he really was. Having the two halves of his life converge like that just seemed way too complicated.
“Er... just… try not to do anything stupid, okay?” he said. “I’ve got enough to worry about as it is without having to keep you out of danger, so stay close… or whatever.”

Ever had managed to scramble up on some rocks, was still working his way upward when there was a voice from behind: it made him stumble and go down, skinning his palms on the rocks hard enough to leave him bloody and growling. It left him a less than pretty sight when he turned to face the girl, fumbling back up to stand and swiping at bruised knees.
He took some solace in the fact that the poor girl as stupidly dressed as he was. Sure, he was in his PJs, but at least they weren't a skirt. He cleared his throat, shaking his hands off, hissing in pain, and then just shrugging at her. "One that hurts like hell? I was trying to get up..."
His eyes flashed across at Tony again, and he waved, grimacing, as he did. There was no way he could get over there, just now. Geysers sprouted between them. He kept his voice pitched low, meant just for the girl. "...I was going to say 'considerably less sexy than my usual dreams', but you know, it seems okay right about now."

Maia nodded hearing Zirconia's words about Hypnos instilling mercy in the cat, but she frowned slightly. Quail had tried to protect the little senshi right. This was totally confusing nothing made sense in the world of dreams and of course it wouldn't. She sighed, it did seem a good idea to at least try to get close to leopard.
Her head whipped around when she called out to Leto and she felt momentarily relieved. "That seems like a good idea, but it could put both of us in danger. The last battle the negaverse attacked Quails Eye and I think she was with him. We should try to make our way to Leto. We wouldn't want anything to happen to her. One loss is enough."
She sighed before worriedly voicing the last part cluthing Hypnos' hand, "Will you help us find our friend first Hypnos?"

Moonstone carefully moved closer to the Negaverse agent sharing her space; did she remember him? Maybe in a vauge I've-seen-the-back-of-your-head manner, but not more than that...not that she could recall (not that her memory was very good after that Thunder b***h had zapped her).
"I see more of our people just over there, we should group up." Pandora pushed her soaked hair back from her face; several strands clung to her skin but she ignored them in favor of speaking with Bismuthite and watching warily as the Guardian seemed to pause, watching that ridiculously tiny child-senshi. Hmmm...Moonstone briefly entertained gunning for her, but figured that as a child, the other Senshi would be even more uselessly protective (read: annoying) than usual. No, attacking her wouldn't help them.
But grouping up with Bis and then the others would help.
And then the bashing would begin!

Alkaid took the coat as Zink finally struggled out of it, pulling it around her shoulders and stuffing her arms through. She was lucky the sleeves were loose, as they didn't quite come all the way down to her wrists. What the coat didn't cover of her arms, though, her gloves did. She quickly (or as quickly as possible) buckled it back down over her chest, thankful for the first time that she was relatively flat chested. Even if the coat was a touch shorter on her in places, it was at least loose enough.
"I'd rather risk being hot than being boiled," she at least hoped she didn't change her mind about that soon. She could feel the sweat starting to trickle over her scalp through her dreads and not for the first time wished she had a hairstyle that was a little more breathable.
She took the smoke pellets from him, rolling them between her fingers to examine them. She put them back in the pocket of the coat she was now wearing, filing their location away in her memory for later. She drew a deep breath then and looked back at Zink, trying to separate his masked face from that of her friend. She needed guidance now, orders, commands - friendship had no place on a battlefield, only loyalty.
"Ready, Captain."

For the love of—
They couldn’t have gotten too far ahead of him! He’d just seen them! It wasn’t like there were many places for them to hide. It was just… a giant expanse of black.
Captain Alumo growled lowly to himself as he searched the Senshi and civilians, angry that he’d let them out of his sight. If it hadn’t been for that geyser — which is was now looking out for — he would have had them all in the palm of his hand.
It was then that he heard a shriek and a spout of water rising just over a hill of pumice. Ah, so they weren’t too far away, after all! Alumo quickened his pace, climbing to the top of the layers of dried lava to try and catch a glimpse of the small group, his staffed weapon tightly in his hand, and once of twice used as a way of leverage to push himself up on the rock faster.

Darting blast after spurting, scalding blast, Wolframite quickly started to doge and move out of the hellhole that was this area. He reached down, picking up his jacket just in case it came in handle, and frowned at the dirty, ashy mess it became. Well, no point in keeping that now. He threw it back down and raced off, looking through towers of rising geysers and jumping, shouting senshi, Nega and…civilians? There were MORE civilians?!... in order to find Tate. She shouldn't have been here. This area wasn't meant for these people. All the civilians should have been brought to a safe place and kept away. And Tate? What if she got hurt here? Burned on every part of her body? Killed even? Would he wake up knowing she was gone if he saw her die here?
He couldn't let that happen. To hell with protocol, he had to make sure she wasn't melted or turned into soup.
Racing, he looked about, dodging as many geysers as he could and tripping a few times as his heels caught on rocks and open pits and holes. When at least he spotted her, he noticed she was surrounded by two senshi. Europa he met once, but the other was new. Either way, it was a dangerous situation. Would they know Tate once she left this world? Would they use her against him?
He had to be careful. He moved in, summoning his weapon. If he just attacked, they would assume it was natural. He had to get Tate away from them. Lost friendship or not, he would not see her die.
He aimed his weapon and shot for Ganymeade, hoping to shoo her away from Tate and the rest. Couldn't that girl just run away? Find a place outside of this area? She had to get out of here safe and sound!
