"I know you all too well..."

K
ezziah Lacey

User Image

Kezziah stared at him as he lent backwards further, she knew that if he went any further towards her he'd probably fall, though she assumed he'd stop by then. She said nothing as he asked sevral questions, reaching out for her pad.
Alpha finally fell to the floor, suprising her as she joulted slightly at the loud sound, not expecting him to attually fall.
Kezziah looked down at him slightly confussed,
"Your okay right?" she said mearly a question if he needed her assistance and not as a mothering figure.
"And i collect valuble data on your every move. You'll be suprised on how well i know you compared to everyone else. This is a document of your life, since your last Handler died, i inherited it to note down your character changes and emotions by all means." she said holding her pad with on hand as she looked at him. Kezziah had only been his Handler for 2 years, since she was 18, yet she almost knew Apha fully.
"Now do you see? Or is this still a waste of our time?" she asked him confussed on his opinion, "Eitherway, if its a waste of time it just means you have me following you pratically everywhere," she said explaining it was her job, probably one of the most important jobs in the institution.

"...Yet you don't know me."

I am the Alpha...

User Image

As he lay there, his mind was working; why did he fall? Had he simply miscalculated how far back he could go? Did it mean something? Was the chair faulty? Was he faulty? Was he loosing it? He began to go over the events in his head, trying to find out where he had made the mistake. It was unlike him to make mistakes, especially ones as stupid as falling out of his chair, so it did rattle him a bit. However, after a minute, he decided that it was just a careless mistake on his part, and dismissed the entire thing.

His eyes would turn up to look at her as she stood over him, asking if he was alright before explaining what she reported to the higher ups. Of course he already knew that it was her job to give them information about his moods, his reactions to situations, ect... She wasn't his first Handler and she wouldn't be his last, he was just in the mood to cause trouble, this meeting was getting boring, he had given everyone their assignments and they all knew what they needed to do, so why where they still here?

Something about her tone though caught his ear though, a word that she used... He figured it out, asking if it was a waist of his time. He would smile at her and sit up, standing and brushing his bottom off. "I know, and it's not a waist of my time. I like to hear your responses to my questions." he would lean down and sit the chair upright before glancing back at her, "You aren't the only one that gathers data on their partner." He would sit back down, straightening out his jacket before looking to the others, "Does anyone else have any questions?" he asked in an almost business like manner. He was ready to be done with this meeting.

... You will obey me.

Lately I've been hard to reach, I've been too long on my own

Eiji manages to resist chuckling as Alpha falls to the floor; nothing malicious, just that the situation brought amusement. Instead, he busies himself by bringing out a datapad; flicking through details that had been uploaded about the small resistance.

"I imagine it was the chair." He mutters, without looking up; it's obvious to the system that the one thing he would be thinking of is the cause of the crash. The last thing the mission needs is for their leader to have lost faith in their abilities.

Satisfied, he puts away the datapad, and pushes his hands into his pockets."I've got nothing else, I guess." He says, looking around. "When are we moving out?"

Harukoxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

User Image
The daunting shell of the building looms above Haruko; where he had spent the past two years, slowly building up from the ruins that his life had been left in. He sighs, his head dropping, before striding forward into the main lobby. The place was abuzz, he had apologies to make, for his absence. This was the point of no return. Comitting himself, and his team to this path.

'I've never taken other people's live into my own hands.'

He moves to a wall to the left of the door, and slides a panel back to reveal a small screen. He touches various symbols and icons, and a sheet of metal slides over the door, and more over the windows.

'Luna did good.' He smiles.

Another couple of touches, and then he holds his fingers to the screen, and speaks into it; a voice that would be broadcast over his entire team.

"This is Haruko. Meet me in the main lobby everyone and.." He pauses, considering his next words; his excuse for being absent. Instead, he just keeps it simple. "Hurry."

Something felt odd about today. An odd electricity in the air. Maybe it was some sixth sense, maybe it was Haruko going crazy, but he had felt it the same day he lost everything. At the very least, he'd give everyone an option this time.

Soma "Stranger" Serveal

Resistance Scout

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Soma place a finger on his ear, the order coming to migrate to the lobby coming in loud and clear. "It appears as though we have been summoned." He says closing his eyes and letting out a deep seated sigh. "It sounds urgent to." He mutters not quite feeling right about the whole ordeal. "Well the offer will always be on the table, so come see me sometime...." He says before continuing on his way out of the room, stopping only briefly to turn around and smile.

Soma continued on down the hall, his footfalls carrying him much faster than most. They would more than likely require his assistance outside the base, but that didn't mean he could simply disobey an order. Sliding around one hall, he quickly starts down another his feet kicking off the wall to get around someone walking the opposite direction. The labyrinth of halls seemed to grow shorter and shorter as he drew close to the lobby, and when he finally arrived he simply stopped before Haruko and offered a salute. "Stranger reporting for duty, what are your orders sir?" He asked standing at attention.

Luna continued walking through the building, it almost felt ghostly with the lack of some of her comrads.
"So thats the feeling" she said to herself remembering how her father must have felt when this happend to him. She never really understood like the rest, dispite there ages.

Luna stopped walking at the sound of Haruko's voice, Listerning carfuly to his instructions she nodded to herself. Quickerning her pace, she had no time to take the gun back to her Lab, instead she brought it with her dispite it being almost as much as she weighed, which may not be alot but for her it was.
"Did something happen?" she said to herself re-running all the tasts Haruko had given her seeing if someone had got hurt by her inability to do her job propally. A feeling of dread reached her as she neared the lobby entrance looking at who was there.

Entering the lobby, she stood half in the doorway with the massive mechine on her shoulder thinking carfuly before entering. 'Maybe i'm thinking about it too hard, it could just as easily be a matter of supplys or new missions' she thought as she realised he had summoned everyone and not just her.
Luna walked in and to the left side, placing it down carfuly before walking back towards Haruko.
Saluting as she attempted to read his expression, silenced in thought she moved out of his way and stayed to the side waiting for the others.

Odelise
Beta
User Image

Beta listened patiently, already working on shutting down communications in that quadrant. It was pretty simple really. She often worked on side projects to make her life easier in the long run, realizing this is probably why her "siblings", or anyone for that matter, didn't see her much. She had things installed throughout the city that gave her quick access points to do various things depending on what she needed to do. She allowed herself a smirk, placing something on standby for the communications. She'd start on the car in a minute. "The most efficient way would be to cut.... Well, having physical contact with the car would be best. There's always the possibility that a small EMP blast would cause too much attention." She answered, typing up a few commands to her bots to carry out just in case something unexpected happened.

She looked up in time to see Alpha fall over in his chair, her eyebrows raising slightly as her eyes widened ever so slightly. Huh. Unexpected event. Likelihood of Alpha making mistakes was less than 50% when in a relatively calm state like now. She just sorta shrugged and continued on with her work, the map closing up on the table. She had saved that data to her pad, listening to some of the info that her bots had updated her with.

"I'm ready to go anytime. You know me, I can work from just about anywhere." She answered, her fingers finally still on her data pad, her grey-green eyes glancing between them.

Damian Cain
Second-in-Command

User Image

Damian had his feet propped up on his desk, reading over the files in front of him, leaning back in his wheely chair. He had his music going, he was actually doing paperwork, things were just going pretty smoothly. Well, as smoothly as they could when you were fighting a global company that basically had a chock-hold on life who was trying to hunt you down and destroy you. But besides that, it was great!

I need to remember to- His thought started as he finished up the report he was reading when he heard Haruko on the loud speaker. Huh, so the boss was back. Well thats good news. He frowned slightly when they were told to hurry, tilting his head slightly before sighing heavily. "And now back to work...." As if what he had been doing wasn't work at all.

Placing down the holographic folder, it shut off as he flicked a few keys, rising from his chair. Stretching slightly, he walked out the door, tilting his head a little as he heard it squeak closed behind him. Hmm, better alert maintenance.... Making a mental note, he headed down the twist of hallways till he reached the main lobby, noticing that their scout, Stranger he believed his nickname was, was already there. Huh, so was Luna. Wonder what that huge thing is.... Probably better not to ask. I'm sure she'll alert us another time. Noticing the absence of Evette, he sighed and shook his head, unable to stop himself from glancing behind him to one of the balconies above. She's probably rushing. She always worked out at the same time, and he doubted that she'd want to carry her bag of weapons. "Hey there chief." He said brightly, appearing laid back per usual. "Damian Cain reporting in." Folding his arms over his chest, his blue eyes glanced between the others, noting their expressions. Everyone was tense. Somethings up.

Evette Barabella
Assassin

User Image

Cocking her head to the one side, she heard the message from the implant in her ear, nodding once. She had actually blown out her ear drum from a mission gone.... "boomy" so to speak so she needed a replacement. Having friends in many different places and industries helped greatly. "So it would seem." She murmured, zipping up her duffel bag before slinging it over one shoulder. She picked up her water canister in her other hand, her towel hanging over one shoulder. "Perhaps we have a new mission." I wonder.... Pushing the thought away, she felt herself slipping into her normal habits, retreating more into herself. Lifting her mask over the lower part of her face, she bowed her head to him once more. I may very well do that. Depending on whats going on that is... It was obvious something big was about to happen. Otherwise the air would not feel so tense.

She followed him out into the hall, making a quick pit stop at her room to drop off her things. They would only slow her down. She briskly walked out of her room, almost seeming to float down the hall with how fast she was walking. Yet it still held a grace to it. As she turned down two more halls, she broke into a run at the last one, realizing she'd probably be the last one. Kicking off the ground, she pushed herself off the railing of the second floor, landing lightly next to Damian, rising slowly. There was a steely coldness in her eyes that was different from how she must have seemed before, saluting Haruko as she stood still with her hands at her sides.

As the team that had assembled itself joined him in the lobby, Haruko couldn't help but smile; proud of what he's done. Of course, it didn't last long, tainted by the cause of their group. Pulling himself together, he looks over the crew.

"Sorry I was away so long.. I needed time."

'That's a crap excuse'

"But I need to make sure now. Everyone of you has sacrificed normal life to be here, to fight for what you believe in. I'm giving you this last chance to go. Leave, and I'll think none the less of you. I've seen what can happen and.. I don't want to be responsible for the loss of any of you."

Shaking his head, he chuckles a little, giving pause for anybody to move.

"But with the dramatics out of the way... I'm setting everything in motion. It's been too quiet, and..." He stops, not wanting his team to think him crazy. Trying to explain away 'gut feeling' isn't the best leadership trick.

"We're gonna get started. Damian," he turns to his second in command, "I want reports on all activity, ours and theirs, since I've been gone. Well done on keeping it together. After that, I want you with Luna; find out what she needs, and get hold of it. We need to start stockpiling. Luna, you'll be working with Amaya when she gets here, in order to find out what we're making. Once you've done all you can Damian, I want you on lookout, with Scout."

He glances over at Scout, then back at Luna, then back to Damian. "I will be joining you Scout, once I have finished checking up on everything. Evette, once Lucien gets here, you are accompanying him to his assignment, and looking for potential entry points. Once he reaches the front door, you are to turn and walk away. Do not accompany him inside." He stops once more, "I'm proud of you all, immensely. If anybody wants to speak up, now's your chance. If not, then come find me in private shortly."

Stopping one last time, he looks over them all. "Get to it."

Amaya
Delta Systems Specialist

User ImageAmaya had been so absorbed in what she was doing, the girl didn't hear the announcement at first. Only when everyone seemed to have left towards the main lobby, did it seem to click. Panicking, Amaya grabbed her notes and scrambled, making it in just as Haruko mentioned her name to Luna. A light blush rose to her cheeks as she just coughed a little, feeling embarrassed to have not heard the announcement earlier. When Amaya got to work, she usually tuned everything out.

Nyx
The Omega

User ImageAs she watched everyone speak, Nyx sat back in her chair with a bored expression on her face. As she watched Alpha fall, the girl cocked her head slightly. How careless of Alpha...it was unlike him to be so uncoordinated. She said nothing about the incident however, rising as she smoothed out her skirt, then looked at Gamma. "If we are done here, we should be going brother...." She said softly, making sure her gun was loaded before strapping the holster to her hip. Omega only ever carried one gun, usually she used her powers for the rest.

I don't want to do this anymore....

Damian Cain
Second-in-Command

User Image

Damian felt the corners of his mouth lift into a sort of soft smile since he could imagine as much. It wasn't like it was a cake walk to run this joint. Not in the least bit. He couldn't help but chuckle when the offer came to leave. "I know I wouldn't want to be anywhere else." He murmured under his breath, a smirk rising to his features. No, he was proud to be here. Besides, he had legacies to carry on for the fallen. If nothing else, he would see this through to whatever end for them.

At Haruko's pause, he already had an inkling of what he wanted to say but didn't. It had struck everyone here when he called them. They all could tell something was off. Straightening up at his name, he stood more to attention like the soldier he used to be. He nodded once in thanks to the compliment. "Yes sir, you got it." It was a good thing he had already been keeping damned good records of their happenings and that of the corp. Even if it seemed like he didn't do paperwork a lot... And he'd even get to go outside. Looking to Stranger, he nodded to him since they were to work together beyond just the simple handing in reports of the outside.

He glanced to Evette when she received her assignment, trying to read her expression. Inwardly he sighed, per usual it was impossible. She hadn't seen action for a while now and it worried him. He didn't want her getting cabin fever or something. He quickly returned his gaze to his boss, saluting him again once he turned to leave. He noticed that Amaya was now there, blinking since he must have missed her appearance somehow. Well, good she was here in any case. Now that they were dismissed, he headed over to Luna, a smile on his lips. "Well! Been a while since I've gotten to see you. Shall we?" His logic was to get all the info at once, then report it to Haruko. He did have a smaller data pad in his pocket anyway where he could forward the info from.

Luna turned quickly to Haruko as he began to speak. She stiffened as he spoke seriously to them all, giving them one last chance to leave.
'I've come to far to leave' she thought to herself, too many people had died along side and saving her life. This was the least she could do for her father.

Luna looked up straight as he spoke her name, standing to attention. Makeing a mental note that she had to sort out what weapons need making and the items she'd need people to get.
Luna hated making people get her supplys, it was dangerous and she hated feeling responsable for if they got hurt.

Once he was finished she sighed, relieved that noone had been lost, turning to the door she spotted Amaya, her new partner she would be working with.
Luna had never had a proper convosation with her and probably wouldn't be anytime soon, at least she knew her slightly. She used to be working for the Corp before she left and came here, Amaya is a vital part to the resistance.

Luna avoided her eyes, looking to Damian as he approched her. She smiled back at his greeting agreeing with him,
"For supplys i need to know what is effective against them. I'd rather not do the mistake like last time" she said regreting her decisions that she made before.
"Lucky we got Amaya" she grinned moving past Damian and to Amaya. As she neared her Luna moved a hand upwards in a greeting,
"Amaya, can i have as much of your data as you have on the systems, Alpha, Beta, Gammer and Omega" she asked, knowing that it should tell her all she needed to know though she needed Ayama to transolate some of it for her.
As well as you, I need your data as well" she smiled turning back to Damian.
'Guess i wont be sleeping for a few days' she thought knowing that for a fact, since the amount of data they had together would be emense.

Evette Barabella

Evette didn't react to his question of leaving. Instead, she simply clasped her hands behind her back like they might in the militia, her legs standing slightly apart. Like hell she was moving anywhere. Under her mask her lips tightened, thinking of the jobs she had before hand. The things she had heard.... Like hell. No, she would not move.

Good. It was time to move. Her eyes glanced to the people as Haruko mentioned their name, watching each of their expressions. Once he moved on to the rest of the orders, her dark eyes returned to the chief, bowing her head once she received her orders. She resisted the strong urge to pause when he told her that she was to leave after scouting the entry points. At least I'm getting out. That was what she reassured herself with, ignoring the fact that Damian was looking at her. She never let her emotions reach her face in any way when it came to work. It was dangerous too. Even amongst friends. Weakness could not be tolerated. Not when your job was to kill quickly, and quietly.

As people began to move, Evette remained in her place though she relaxed a little. She still stood to attention, but she looked a little more "normal" whatever that meant. Hmm... if she was leaving, it was probably good to get her things. Though she did have to wait for Lucien. I can be quick. Darting off to her room, she easily ran around people, her feet barely making a sound as she moved. Once in her room, she grabbed her two knives, her whip, some throwing knives and needles, and a few hidden daggers. She liked behind ready. She also pulled on another black shirt shirt and a pair of black capri's, pulling on a pair of black gloves.

Darting out of her room, it didn't take her very long to return to the main lobby, finding the whole thing had taken only a few minutes. She still didn't see Lucien there, so she knew she was safe. Normally she might have brought a silenced pistol, but there was always the risk there might be scanners for firearms. Knives or whips? Not as likely. So now she waited patiently, leaning against a wall with her arms folded over her chest.
