Dude. Just tell him to get a pack of those dogs that have Pickup and never evolve them so they'll KEEP Pickup, and have them farm Rare Candy when they get to the upper levels. That's what I've been doing in HeartGold.
Also, something strange has been going on with my game. If I have the C-Gear on, I don't have this problem...but if I have it off, whenever I try to close the DS and make it sleep, it keeps stutter sleeping and not sleeping. I can tell because it still makes sound and because when I open it a crack, I can see the screen flickering on and off. I'm pretty sure that's not normal. But I don't know why it's doing that or how to make it stop.

Yeah, finding one of those things was a pain, made even more painful from the fact that 1) I was trying to catch a female, and 2) **q*ing sandstorm. Haet.

And I finally was able to get my new save attached to my Pokemon-GL account. But not in time to get the eevee evolution event.

I can get an eevee easily but the event was for eevee evolutions with dream world abilities... I dunno if you can breed for dream world abilities...

Breeding mechanics
Female Pokémon with Hidden Abilities can pass on the Hidden Ability to their offspring. Breeding with Ditto does not pass on abilities. For example, if a female Darmanitan with Zen Mode bred with a male Simisage, the offspring Darumaka may have Inner Focus instead of the usual Hustle and would evolve into a Darmanitan with Zen Mode, instead of Sheer Force. However, it should be noted that there is also a chance of not passing on the ability.
