"M-my head hurts a little," It wasn't a complete lie. It did hurt but it was more than a little. Feeling Shun tense as he pulled back slightly, Mitsu moved a bit closer to support him better. "L-let's just get you back. What would you like to eat?" Maybe if she changed the subject he wouldn't press the matter. She didn't want him to worry. In the morning she could take her medicine and everything would be fine...she hoped.

Grimacing some as Mitsu stepped closer to support him more, he let out a sigh as they made it to the dorm. Shun furrowed his brow when food was brought up again. He still had no appetite, even though his body felt like a complete wreck now. While he knew he would have to eat something eventually, he just didn't have it in him right now.
"..Nothing.. I'm not hungry..." he uttered.

Now back at the dorm Mitsu allowed Shun a little more room to move on his own. Though when he refused food...again...her brows furrowed together and not in a confused way. "I didn't ask if you wanted to eat...I asked what you wanted to eat."
Her head hurt so she really didn't want to stand and argue about him needing to eat something. She could tell he hadn't felt well before so she knew he probably felt terrible now. "You know...I'll just go buy a variety of things. You can take your pick." This was one of those uncharacteristic times when it was apparent Mitsu had been around Riyo too long. She knew that Shun was well aware of her money situation and he was often leery about letting her pay for things....so surely he wouldn't let her buy a bunch of food and let it go to waste.

Once he was in his room, Shun made his way to his bed once more and practically slumped down onto it. For the moment, his face scrunched up as the sudden movement hurt quite a bit. At first, he didn't reply to Mitsu, though her tone did catch him off guard. However, he looked over at her when she practically threatened to buy a heap of stuff.
"...Don't do that.." he said between breaths. On top of everything else, he didn't need the guilt of making her waste her money like that.
"Maybe... just an apple.."
It was light and cheap. And it was still food.

"An...apple? That's...not a lot to eat." At least it was something though. Maybe if she brought something else back that was light she could persuade him to eat it as well. "If...that's what you'll eat I'll go get it then. Try to...relax until I get back?"
Slowly she left his dorm and headed toward the cafeteria. She was quick to grab what she needed, a couple of apples, a soup in a to go container, and a turkey sandwich. If anything she might try to eat the sandwich so that he wasn't eating along....but as it stood she wasn't very hungry either. The mental stress was enough to kill any little bit of appetite she might have had.
The lunch lady was kind enough to give her a bag to put everything in as well as some eating utensils. Mitsu had asked for a knife to peel and slice the apples with and while reluctant the lunch lady gave her one as long as Mitsu promised to bring it back. She knew Shun had knives....but she wasn't about to use something he had probably stabbed someone with. It made her shudder to think about it. Everything in hand Mitsu headed back to the dorms and gave a short knock on Shun's door before slowly opening it.
"I..I'm back." She had hoped the walk would help calm her mind...there was really no difference. The feeling of something pressing in was all the stronger but she hid it well as she made her way in and sat on the floor by his bed. "Here, try eating this first." She said as she pulled out the to go container of soup and the spoon. "I'll peel you some apples while you do."

That seemed to have convinced her. Once she was out of the room, he laid back on his bed and closed his eyes. The pain and discomfort he had felt helped a little to keep his mind off of things, but they were still there lingering in the back of his head.
Before too long, he opened his eyes and glanced towards the door at the sound of a knock. Mitsu had returned, though she had brought soup for him as well.
Gingerly pushing himself back to a sitting position, he took the container and stared down at it. She seemed intent on helping him out.
"..You don't need to the peel the apples.." he said quietly. His breathing wasn't as rough as it was earlier, but his voice was still a bit softer than usual, even for when he spoke to Mitsu.
"You.. don't need to be doing any of this really.."
Opening the container, the scent of the soup hit him. It did little to stir up an appetite though. Still, he figured he'd try since he had a feeling Mitsu would keep ushering him to eat otherwise.

Reaching into the bag beside her Mitsu pulled out the knife the lunch lady had given her and started peeling an apple anyway. It at least made her feel like she was doing something for him...even if it was insignificant. "You keep doing so much for me. You keep throwing yourself head long into my problems and you don't ask for anything....I want to do something I just..." It sounded like her voice was teetering on being upset but her head was tilted downward focused on the apple in her hand so it was hard to see her face. "I don't know what else to do..."
Her task of peeling the apple paused for a moment, the skin only half way undone. It seemed like her job at the cafe had at least taught her a few things about handling a knife to peel things safely. Staring at the fruit she kept her head down still doing her best to will back the tears that threatened to form. "I feel like such a burden to you...."

While Mitsu went on to peel the apples anyway, Shun slowly drank his soup. It was a little hard to eat when he really wasn't hungry, but he did his best. He came to a pause, however, when he heard the girl speak.
"You aren't a burden..." he said softly, "Not at all.. Besides.. I've spent most of my life... pretty much only looking out for myself, messing up people's lives..."
"... I guess it's kind of nice to be able to help someone instead for once..."

A couple of water droplets fell from Mitsu's face and landed on her hand but she was quick to bring up her arm to wipe at her eyes. It was hard to suppress the feeling that she was a burden who brought nothing but trouble and problems to her friend. Even to Riyo, though the girl hadn't mentioned a word about the incident at the start of winter break. It was so strange, she hadn't thought too much about these things the last couple of weeks but the past problems seemed to haunt her all of a sudden setting her on edge.
"I...guess I can understand....but you really shouldn't go so far." Mitsu said softly, focusing on the knife in her hand a little longer than needed before she finally finished peeling the apple and cut it up into slices. Placing the slices on a paper towel, she set it next to Shun, her head finally lifting enough so that her dull crimson eyes could be seen. It was reminiscent of winter break and how she had looked then. Like all life and hope had been sucked out of her. "I...I guess I will let you eat. D...do you...need anything else?" She questioned putting the knife back in her bag carefully. She wasn't sure her original purpose here had really been accomplished, really she felt like their little trip to Suto had somehow made it worse.

Shun only managed to catch a slight glint of light fall towards her hand. Gripping the soup container, he sat in silence for a moment thinking about a few things. There was that utter look of despair in her eyes.. was he doing this..?
Glancing to the empty space besides him, he looked back towards her slowly.
".. Just you... here," he said quietly. While there was still the emotional pain, her presence gave some comfort in the very least. The fact that she was going through these lengths for him was still something as well.
"..You can sit up here if you want..."

He....wanted her to stay? The look on her face shifted between looking empty to confused to maybe a little hopeful. "O...okay." Slowly she got up off the floor bringing the bag with her sandwich and the other apple in it with her. Sitting on the edge of the bed next to him she focused on the floor where she had been before. It was hard to say how she felt at the moment but he at least wasn't turning down her help or shooing her off. "You better eat your soup...before it gets too cold." She said softly.

Nodding slowly to her, he went on and continued to eat the soup. Again, it was a little hard to do it, but he forced himself anyway, even if it was more to please her than for his own sake.
"...Thank you..." he uttered quietly once he had at least half of the soup eaten. It had stirred a little bit of appetite within him, enough so that it wasn't as much of a chore to take more of it in. He wondered if he was being selfish here in regards to Mitsu. The thoughts kicked up conflict within him as a part of him felt he should be happy that she's... at least happy for the most part. And that she didn't hate his guts.

Turning toward Shun as he thanked her Mitsu tried to smile though it was a struggle. "Y..you're welcome." It seemed he had eaten a little more hopefully he would feel better soon.
Thoughts drifting here and there Mitsu couldn't really focus on any one thing. There wasn't much of a conversation to grasp to either so with the silence her head began to pound all the more.
Bringing a hand up to her aching skull, Mitsu's eyes shifted about the room. She was trying to think of something to talk about but wasn't coming up with much. "Y..you know I'm not the only one who was worried about you..." Mitsu finally said. "Bent tail seemed pretty concerned. He said you hadn't been yourself.....D...Did something happen?" Probably not the best of topics but it was all her mind would allow her to dig up that was acceptable to talk about.

Pausing once more, Shun recalled the reasoning for why Bent-Tail might have been worried about him. Casting his eyes towards the ground, he wondered if he should tell her. Though, there really wasn't much using hiding it..
"Last night we had a job..." he said quietly, "I... went overboard. Normally we'd make the quick kill, then do whatever cleanup we have to and leave. Bent-Tail had to practically drag me away from the target to keep me from stabbing the body more.."
He had already struck the already dead person at least thirty times before the rat pulled him away. There wasn't a single moment there where he didn't wish it had been Desmond instead of the virtually faceless individual they had to take out.
"..I almost turned on him too when it happened.."

"Y...you had a job?" The thought brought the worry and concern back into Mitsu's features in an instant. She didn't like the thought of him being out to do nothing more than.....end people. It was still a little hard for her to grasp how he handled doing it but to hear that he had gone...overboard, Mitsu's face paled a little. "S...Shun." She said softly, her voice thick with concern.
Had he really tried to attack Bent too? The odd look of despair came back to Mitsu's eyes, feeling that the situation was even worse than she thought. "I...I'm so sorry....to have made you go through all of this..." Bent didn't deserve to have that anger directed at him...when it was her fault. "If...you are that upset...you don't have to hold back against me. It's...my fault after all....no one else's...."
