"I was just trying to gather the Christof-pieces!" Lizzy frowned as Christof's limb was snatched from her. However, she couldn't help but smile a little at how protective Calder was, wondering if he really liked the Igor and all that ranting was just due to general grumpiness. Slowly, she nodded, deciding to trust the Kelpie, "I'll help... Uh, need someone to sew all that together?"

Going around, she gathered every piece she could find, placing it into the basket until there was a pile of body parts in it.

"Where did you put the rest of him?" She asked, raising an eye brow, "I mean... You do have his head and torso right?" Those two major body parts were missing from the pile.

He was picking the pieces one by one as Lizzy helped him, and their fingers were coated in sugar and artificial dye by the end of it. Calder did his best to dust the pieces of his friend off but some of the more exposed tissue bits just were hopeless to get clean. While Lizzy worked alongside him, he tried to keep a running track of what they had by looking at himself. Okay, so they had two legs and two feet and that lead up to the bottom part . Then there was the upper part, the torso, that Barth had. One arm was upstairs, and the other was already in the basket. It was a hard thing to keep track of, and Malodore would probably have rolled his eyes at the vague names Calder gave most of them, not to mention his poor system of keeping track of body parts. Then again, the kelpie wasn't a scientist, which they needed right now.

When asked at long last if they were done, Calder looked around and then up to the ghoul. "Barth has a arm, ear, and the…upper part." He pointed to his chest. A great wave of worry returned to his features. "I didn't take the head." Duh! He should have found that first!

Looking around, he started to shove sugar piles and wrappers around. "It…It's has to be here, right?" Why wasn't it here? "No wild foxsquirrel could have taken it, right?" His voice was getting a little more high-pitched as he kept asking Lizzy for some reassurance that he didn't lose his friend's head. That he did good in getting all the part. He had to have gotten all the part. He wouldn't have a friend without ever piece. "Where is his head?!"

The hunchback had mostly been concentrating on the arduous crawl from Barth's room to the hallway, towards what he could only hope was his Mistress's door. The burning was slightly less, and by the feel of things someone was giving him a nudge every now and then in the right direction. Suddenly he was hearing echoes, though, one set of noises with one ear, and another louder crunching noise of someone near by sifting through the tossed candy. Someone was looking for the rest of him! Oh thank god!

From beneath several boxes of candy sticks came the muffled cry of someone trying very hard to make noise and roll their head a bit while stuck in a box and a pile of burning sugar granules.

In the basket, his hand started slapping against the side of it's container, trying to make some sort of noise to figure out which direction from the head it was and... ah! To the left! At least now he knew which way to try to frantically point.

"It has to be around here somewhere," Lizzy nodded in an attempt to reassure Calder that Christof's head would not be lost forever. Besides, she was pretty sure a wild foxsquirrel would prefer the sugary treat to an undead's head. She stayed near the basket to guard it (just in case) as Calder went around searching for the missing head. When she heard a 'thump' from the basket, she jumped, staring at it and expecting a wild minipet to be there, chewing on a body part.

However, all she saw was Christof's detached hand pointing to the left, at a pile of boxes and scattered Icky Stix near Calder. She stared hard at the hand for a while to make sure it was consistently pointing at the same direction before calling for Calder.

"There!" She pointed at the pile, sure that Christof was trying to direct them to his head, "Check under that pile of stuff!"

When the shout was given, Calder poked his head up and looked around to where she had pointed. On a mound of sugar were some overturned boxes farther away, and crawling over (his ankle was killing him from all the running), he shoved the boxes over and stared at was the rainbow-sugar candy that Christof's head had now become. Coated in the granules, it was hard to realize it was a head to begin without or just an oddly-shaped candy. Taking the head, Calder used his scarf and dusted it off as best he could to see the face of the Igor – well, most of his face.

"CHRSISTOF! We found you!" He cheered, glad to have all the parts, especially the most important. Slowly getting ot his feet, he braved walking normally and handed the head to Lizzy. "You keep that. I'll take the parts. We have to get these to Barth!" He said, and started to hitch up the hamper of undead parts on his back. Mentally, he prepared himself. Just one trip up. He hoped this was the last trip up stairs he was going to be making as the adrenalin that had been pumping him before was weakening. Shouldering the pack, he nudged Lizzy to get going. "Come on. Come on. Come on." He said, ushering her to the demon doors as fast as they could, all the while glad he was behind the girl so that he could have the liberty of wincing every once in a while.

"Will do!" Lizzy didn't think twice about taking the head, ignoring how sticky it felt from all the semi-melted sugar. Holding it rather protectively (the brain's the most important organ, right?) against her body with the face facing forward, Lizzy waited for Calder to get the basket before walking back into the building. While glad that she could help, the Demoness was rather relieved the boil didn't need help with hurling the heavy basket up the stairs; after all, she was not built for physical labor! She couldn't help but notice that Calder was starting to look like he could use a rest... A long rest with lots of carrots as a reward.

However, as she started to climb up the long fling of stairs (with the Kelpie's constant nudging), it came to her attention that she had no idea where Barth's room was. Turning her head to look at Calder while still moving up the steps, she frowned, "Uh, so where is Barth's room? Which floor is it located?"

Christof was dimly aware of the gritty sensation of the sugar coating being wiped away, and as the world sparked into light and color again he was quickly manhandled- or womanhandled- against the pink haired demon's chest.

On a normal day, he would have been quite thrilled to be this close to his favorite of female anatomy, but today was a bit... strenuous. His dislocated jaw attempted to speak, anxiety over the trouble that lead to or not, but it didn't seem to be doing him any good.

"Mruuuuhth... thtreth.... Haffa' go... Mithtreth..." He managed lamely, the parts still squirming in their basket, making Calder's difficult job that much more cumbersome.

The Igor, meanwhile, felt like his lungs (where ever they were now) were about to explode in a ball of fire from the searing pain of his mark. Not Barth not BARTH! At least the important part of him was on it's way.

He clenched his eyes shut, trying to concentrate on that one body part, the sad torso upstairs making it's way like a pathetic beached seal crawling towards Riley's still thankfully ajar door.

Malodore resisted the urge to say 'I told you so'. It was a difficult battle, to be sure, but the plague doctor managed it. Somehow. It waited as the others cleared out, though it heard shouting and some commotion from down below through the still-open window in the bedroom...

Once everyone was gone, it looked at Riley and tilted its head to one side. "Perhaps you should invest in a few more mirrors, if viewing your reflected visage is enough to bring you back to yourself?"

Riley closed her eyes, and slumped slightly, before rather unexpectedly wrapping her arms in a slow embrace around Malodore. Clearly, the effects of the sugar hadn't actually worn off yet.

Malodooooore. She whined quietly. It's not really that bad, is it? I won't eat anymore if you say so. I won't. She rolled her eyes and managed a frighteningly pouty expression. I just don't think-

Oh look, Christof's torso was crawling outside her doorway.

Wait.

What.

Riley's arms dropped to her sides in pure shock, and her eyes widened (if that was even possible) as she stared at it. She couldn't bring herself to actually say anything, she just.. stared.

There was a disembodied torso. Crawling. Towards them.

What.

"It really, really is that bad. A nome di tutto ciò che è profano-"

It stopped, just as Riley had, and stared for a moment... but unlike the ithilid, Malodore swore. "That's Christof. ... Part of him, anyway."

It stared a moment longer, then shook itself into action, drawing needle and suture thread out of one sleeve as it moved towards the doorway. "I'm not a demon, but I believe when one summons one's assistants, one should summon all of them, not merely their torsos!" The noise it had half-heard from outside made sense now. Candlejack!

Still in transit, Christof's eyes rolled in his dismembered head as he concentrated fully on his torso... his brain felt like it was going to explode, keeping track of all of the separate parts... he couldn't keep this up. Maybe an older patchwork who was more practiced would do better, but his limits were reached.

In Riley's doorway, the torso felt like his chest was on fire, burning deep into his lungs that tried to gasp for air from his neck hole, the sad beached seal of a thing trembling as it tried desperately to make it to his Mistress's feet and... and suddenly it bumped into a pair of fine shoes and the burning subsided- he had done it! He had made it! Pleased at the sudden relief from his demonic mark, the bodypart slumped like an overweight house cat flopping on it's master's foot.

Barth was not far along behind the torso. He looked curiously through the entryway, and then at Riley and Maladore. He hadn't been in Riley's room before, now that he thought about it. This wasn't unusual, because Barth hadn't been to a lot of people's rooms.

He followed the school of waiting for things (or others) to come to him.

He had done some minor steering with the torso, guiding it with his foot every now and again. And, as he had thought, the torso finally slumped happily at Riley's feet.

He had expected less sugar rainbows on Riley's floor, admittedly.

"Hi, Riley. Maladore. Christof alright? Calder dropped about 1/4th of him in my lap."

Riley continued to stare, unsure if what she was seeing was real. She reached down, and touched the torso lightly, before bending to her knees and picking it up.

Christof? She asked it, as if perhaps he was all there, and she was only seeing his torso. Unfortunately, Malodore's reaction and Barth's reassurance that there was only a fourth of the patchwork there helped her to come to a final conclusion.

Christof fell down go boom.

How did this even happen? Why is he in pieces - no, better yet, WHERE is the rest of him? She stroked the torso, coddling it like a child.
PostPosted: Fri Feb 11, 2011 4:45 pm

"I... believe I know where the rest of him is. Mi scusi, Riley... signor..." Malodore hurried out of the room, ducking past the other demon - the newcomer evidently knew its name, but it couldn't quite place his. Nor did it much matter right now! What in Jack's unholy name had happened?!

Fortunately, it didn't have far to go, given that the rest of Christof was being carried towards it. "Calder! Lizzy! Christof! What happened?! I've got plenty of suture thread, I can fix you right up at once!" Malodore's voice was filled with concern for the Igor's state. Last it heard, Christof had been safe in...

...

"... merde, I told you to go down the ladder, didn't I? Did you slip? Dannazione..."

Chuppi had been hiding the whole entire time. That's right, the entire time. Well, mostly since Riley noticed them saying something about sugar and what not, she'd let go of Lizzy and bolted away into a corner of the dorms where she assumed she wouldn't be found. Common sense dictated that a monster would not even be in the demon dorms without a proper escort (or they weren't the thrall of a demon) but hey - she'd gotten scared and her earlier shriek had done nothing to keep people away.

Slowly she was making her way back over to where everyone was, though she was doing her best to stay out of their general line of sight. No need for them to see her and get her involved in whatever was going on, right? She'd seen the body parts and everything else, so. . . .

". . . . . "

She poked her head around a corner, wondering if someone had seen her.
