Ah crap, Ranee started sprinting faster to avoid the falling walls, it was like life sized domino, though you didn't want to be underneath, The Cuttlers didn't seem to be too lucky, Poor useful cuttlers. Ranee would have liked to keep the three around... maybe a speed enhancement would do the poor guys well.

A single source of light entered from above as they entered a vast room filled with statues and pillars, at first Ranee had mistaken the old zoids for being made of rock, but she quickly realized how truly old they where, yet they still held such pride standing there guard whatever was further beneath the temple. Imagine how glorious the noble imperial zoids would have looked if they had been repaired.

"Those Zabers are still handsome." she muttered quietly to herself, a shame they slept here falling apart. But moving right along, a fierce roar echoed loudly off the walls, there in that room stood a red organoid, soething about it struck a chord as she suddenly realized their guide was none other than the traitor Nick. That liar Shun, but putting that aside, Ranee herself had seen nick before when her father had taken her to the organized battles where the pilots competed years ago. The pair had been undefeated in the games and had been of highest rank. Ranee couldn’t have comprehended why such a pilot would become a renegade and become a murderer...

Ranee gave a nod to Talon gazing at Nick the getting killed part she needn’t be reminded of however Nicks appearance had changed dramatically and now that she thought about it there where similarities. Nick used to be blonde not to mention she didn’t look half like a machine, what the hell? Ranee didn’t actually want to know what caused the damage.

“I suppose there’s more to the story than just what’s been said” she focused back on Talon she was actually quite glad there was, and smiled “Don’t worry I won’t.” Ranee promised, Talon’s last comment reminded her of the flaming spiders they had just found, ick.

"It is..." She answered Shun distantly.

Atelius and Zutnic both hopped out of the way as Kagi's jets flared open and he lept toward the group. Nick had not time to react before she was nearly knocked off her feet by the Organoid's landing. Kagi stuck his nose against Nick's chest affectionately, all the while side glancing the rest of the group with his greedy eyes. A low rumble echoed within his mechanical throat.

Saying she wasn't happy to see him would only partially be true. It had been so long and she missed him dearly, however, he was supposed to be with Titus and Nick, by contract, was not allowed to see her again. That would void the contract. Nick pressed her mechanical hand against the side of Kagi's face. And as she did that she, by some very strange means, received the answer she was thinking of; Tidus was not present or near their location. She was with Blaze.

The reunion had nearly caused her to completely forget of her company. And it wasn't until than that she realized that the secret had been revealed. It was inevitable with how close they were traveling. Especially with the fact the cuddlers had removed her Judge's cloak because of the great amount of black fog on it. That had been for the better....

Before she could assure Ranee in Talon's warning Zutnic let out a hiss from below and it was promptly answered with a growl from Kagi.
"You will not... Behave yourself." She scolded the organoid.

The two glowing hallways brightened followed by a loud metallic-crashing noise that echoed through the massive room. Some loose bits of the armor on the zabers crumbled and fell from the ZOID's body.

The lone cuddler made a bubbling sniffling noise before it climbed up to the offered arm. It seemed fearful of Kagi and tried to keep as flat as possible against Talon. When he crash sounded it let out a soft squeaking noise.

Seeing the organoid launch himself towards the group, Shun tensed up, but relaxed a bit as he realized this wasn't a hostile move. Still, he watched the red organoid with a hint of caution until Talon brought up their little secret. He supposed it was inevitable that bit would be revealed. Ranee had better not spill things since it'd mean he had to put up with the whole hero spiel for nothing.

Bent-Tail took a few wary steps closer to the ancient organoid to try and get a better look at him, definitely feeling a sense of awe in the presence of Kagi.

The crash caught the soldier's attention, and it didn't seem to bide well for what was going on in the temple.

"This little reunion is touching and all, but I think the obliterators are going to be on their way soon," he frowned while staring at the glowing hallways. There weren't many things that could have caused that noise right now.

Talon was quite sure that Ranee wasn't the type to blow things like this. Not when she witnessed the power of the great arm Nick had. Moe squeaked in surprise and concern as a roar, a squawk of some alarm and the appearance of a red bipedial draconic organoid appeared. It looked to be attached to Nick... He raised an eyebrow and gently patted his pocket with the non-flaming spider and the distraught cuddler.

Rumbling also caught Talon's attention. Frowning, he patted Ranee on the shoulders and made it quite clear he wasn't interested in either Nick or Kagi. "Then lets keep moving. Reunions come later. I'd like to survive this instance if you all don't mind. " He nodded to himself and carefully started down the stairs towards Zut and Atelius. Honestly! Adventure awaits.

Definitely not something to talk about, especially with something with razor teeth that would chop you in two or looked like anyway, Kagi's eyes glared at them, "she's all yours." Ranee muttered not wanting to get in-between the touching reunion; hopefully Kagi would understand she wanted nothing to do with 'owning' Nick. Mind you the strange glowing lights behind them seemed a little ominous, good thing Shun said something, though the woman could probably sense them coming one way or another.

With the pat on the shoulder ranee gave a light sigh "I'm guessing I don't want to know what's on its way right?" she referred to the orange light. It was most likely those things they called obliterators, symbolized by the flaming salamanders at the entrance and the statues in the room prior, the where astounding so long as they didn’t move.

"Those poor Zabers" Ranee whispered under her breath. This entire adventure wasn't even done and she'd started wishing she hadn't opened her mouth. Though she couldn't deny it was quite thrilling in a sense, like a movie... except it was real.

Nick had to push Kagis nose away to get him to back up a little. She side glanced the doors. They were awake, and that only confirmed her earlier suspicion. That made it dangerous for everyone in the room.

Nick looked up at the hole Kagi more than likely created to enter this part of the temple. It would be dangerous still to have him fly everyone out. Only because of who he was. The essence of greed...

The only other option was to go forward and hope that there would be no encounter. Kagi would provide some security, but Nick could only assume that would mean very little to the rest of the group if he refused to help them as well.

"Don't look at him directly in the eyes..." Nick warned as she walked around them and begun to descend the long stairway. Kagi closely in tow. The warning was not only for his need to be dominant, but also that nasty affect he had on others where he caused them to become very greedy toward one thing or another.

"Oh... and what they say is true, tell any one of this secret and I will make sure you suffer greatly." Nick smiled a very eerie smile not bothering to look back at Ranee, hopefully the point was made.

Kagi snorted as he gave the group one last look over than whirled about, letting his tail fly carelessly behind him, and went after Nick. His focus lingered most on the other organoid in the room. A very odd kind he had never encountered before. Perhaps it was a fighter?

Atelius and Zutnic both waited in the middle of the room patiently for the rest of the group to come down. Zutnic watched Kagi intensely in case she should strike at his family. His spikes all stood on end like hackles being raised. His eyes locked and every joint tense. Atelius Didn't have quite the same stance, but he was ready as well should his master become endangered by the dim witted organoid.

Deep mechanical bellows echoed from either side of the glowing doors. The noise caused more armor to fall from the Zaber's bodies. They looked ready to collapse at any moment.

No direct eye contact. That was easy enough. Shun wasn't too sure of the reason, but he figured it had a similar effect as making eye contact with certain animals. Making his way towards the door with the others, he paused momentarily as he saw some more chunks fall from the Zabers. The poor Zoids didn't seem like they'd be standing for much longer.

Sensing he was being watched, Bent-Tail looked back to see the ancient organoid staring at him. It was a little unsettling as he didn't know what was going on in the beast's mechanical mind. The rat just sorta waved back at Kagi hesitantly while following his pilot.

"Whether you want to or not, you're probably going to see what's coming," the soldier said flatly to the Princess, "Just be ready."

Already pretty much where Atelius and Zut were waiting, Talon stopped in his tracks when large chunks fell from the old Feline Zoids. That's a real shame, he thought. Though, it was only a brief thought. There were more important things to worry about such as when the source of the lights of crimson would appear. He had doubts that they would wait patiently for everyone to get into a circle, come up with a game plan and go along with whatever plan that was.

Moe squeaked and tried to hide itself in Talon's hair, unsuccessfully. It didn't like what was going on. Neither did the Squidlingthing from the vice grip on Talon's left arm. And as for the spider? It was still sulking from what Talon could tell.

" Remember to stop, drop, and roll. They spit fire. " Talon paused. . . recalling that horrible fight involving the nasty flame throwers with legs. "Though, on second thought, you'd probably be already ashes by the time it registers that you're on fire. " He shrugged, grinned and continued on, happily.

Talon was gazing at the declining sentinels, the grip on his staff straining his knuckles to almost white in the skin. He could almost hear the yell 'Its a trap' echo from the falling armor. And oddly, this was when he was the most calm. Which was why he waited for the Posessive Dragon, and its pet...oh and the others. Seriously, he would flip a coin to determine which path they'd take and no one liked leaving these things to chance. Always had to say something, they did. "Moe? . . . Don't pull out my hair. " Talon muttered to the scared little metal menace perched on his head.

"Don't worry about me I seem to be doing better than you." she growled at Shun, he'd been so un talkative and she'd certainly done enough and he still didn't think she would be able to deal with what was coming, she'd be fine, even though those spiders where fierce for being just fiery metal spiders of doom. What could have been worse than that?

"Wonderful, now where did I put that flame retardant..." she joked trying to lighten the rather dark mood in the same manner as Talon. She followed the group heeding Nick's Advice not to look the organoid directly in the eyes.

"I'll have you know the threat wasn't needed." she grumbled More armour fell from the Zabers, Ranee frowned and continued on with the group being careful to stay away from a certain creatures tail.

"Master, greedy one say nasty things. It not nice. Shouldn't be near greedy one, he make you like him. Greedy greedy and stupid." Zutnic hissed at the group approached them. He quickly trotted toward Shun to put something between his master and the greedy beast. His spiky hackles rose and his tail pincers remained set for strike. "Mother's organoid can see now is just like greedy. Chose you nasty nasty..." He mumbled to himself earning a side glance from Nick, but no words.

Atelius's steel feathers were bristled, but unlike his dim witted friend he choose to remain silent on his opinion. Kagi was one of the four and it would be unwise to insult him. Though, he didn't seem quick enough to catch on. So perhaps Zutnic was safe? Atelius gave a deep metallic sigh than hopped over to the traveling circus that was Talon.

Kagi shoot Zutnic a glare. A deep and threatening growl rattled his throat. He took no notice to the little striker's threatening posture and was quite confident that his size would be able to easily over take this foe. Before anything could 'go down' a loud crackling noise echoed within the room. Kagi looked up and around.

"Of course it was." Nick only smiled and continued forward. Once they passed the middle Saber the noises in the other rooms increased. Nick placed a hand on Kagi's side, another aid to cool his temper.

Fire spewed fourth from the glowing hallways on either side of the ancient hanger room. Not even before the fire cleared the Obliterators came crawling into the room, their bodies aflame with a blue and white fire.Thirteen of both sides, these were only the first to enter From the groaning and roaring there were more awakening behind them.

Nick's focus turned to them than the hanger door as the stone 'door' begun to drop sealing their only possible exit should they not make it through.

The organoid invoked a sense of greed did it? Shun supposed that might explain the whole incident regarding it being uncovered to some extent. Still, it was good to know. He was many things, but greedy wasn't one of them and he would prefer to stay that way if possible. As Zutnic warned, it would likely cause him to do something incredibly stupid.

Just then, the flames came. Narrowing his eyes at the sight of the lot, he soon turned to see where Nick's eyeline was.

It seemed they had a choice here: try and make it to the stone door or stand their ground against some unknown number of obliterators.

"The door!" he called out while motioning to it in case the other two didn't catch what Nick was staring at. Immediately after speaking up, he bolted off towards it, glancing back to make sure the others were coming along. He wasn't about to ditch them.

There was a metalic clunk that sounded like something hopping. Talon observed the bird hop over, his head tilting to the side seeming to mimic Moe. the Cuddler on his arm seemed to wrap its tentacles around tighter, unsure and still in shock. And, thankfully, that spider was still grumpy and sticking to his pocket. That accounted for everyone. . .

Taking note of the greedy nature and aura that ushered from the green eyed , red raptor, Talon quirked a brow at the talkative spiny pincushion. Rolling his eyes, he decided to ignore Zut. The dent in his head is showing, but he kept that comment to himself. He didn't want to end up on the end of any of those claws, even if it would have been funny to mention and provoke the wraith of the dimwitted walking cusineart. However, he did get a kick out of the larger organoid's reaction. Talon was about ready to lean over to Ranee and Shun and strike up a bet. . . But the temple seemed to have other plans.

The loud crack was only worth a small mention. What was the focus was the bubbling blue flames that seemed to roar from the Obliterator's bodies. There were coming. Talon observed them carefully, and frowned at this new development. The twenty six monsters loomed in and closer. . .Talons attention was diverted to the more pressing matter by the rather pointed and fantastic development ; the door had to start to fall. He tensed and just stared at the door starting to fall. This was unacceptable! Predictable! This script is terrible! How did it pass the test screenings? Obviously this wasn't a movie, but Talon wasn't amused.

"No kidding, " he barked in reply. Instinct taking over, Talon grabbed the bristling Atelius and held him under arm and started running for the door. Silver spiked football, GO! There quite a bit of floor to cover, but at least he was quite fit from carting around Moe and all other MRZ's that liked to climb on him. . . Like Cuddles...who wasn't a light weight at all, but that was just details.

Of course it was Nick answered Ranee frowned.

Ranee took not of what the shuttering Striker was trying to say, making sure to remember it and the reason Nick warned not to stare at the red organoid's eyes. However Ranee raised her brow since it seemed as though both the striker and Kagi could fight at any moment. As menacing as the striker was.. Ranee had bets on Kagi. Once again the temple decided to spoil the fun.

The rich girl spun around instinctively not liking to be caught off guard from the back to see the blue flamed obliterators both impressively stunning and terrifying.

"Oh god, those are some salamanders..." Then she noticed the door, "You're kidding right?" Their only escape being cut off in the most cliché way. Ranee glanced back at the salamanders, death on one side and most likely death on the other; Ranee booked it toward the door. “Hey Talon want me to carry one of your little friends?” She offered they didn’t look to light after all.
PostPosted: Mon Apr 25, 2011 7:41 pm

The Obliterators were now crawling around the poor old ZOIDs and some even over them. Causing more of the ZOID to fall apart in their wake. Atalius fell back so he would have enough room to get himself aloft. He than darted back toward the closest cluster of Obliterators on the right side in hopes to distract them for a little so the group could get through safely. Zutnic stuck close to Shun feeling it was unnecessary to rush himself for anyone but his master and he could do far better by sticking close. Especially since the door was coming down. He did not wish to be separated.

Nick did not look back as she darted toward the exit. She could hear Kagi keeping pace purposely behind her for some silly reason no doubt. Luckily the door was closing at a very slow rate. It would seem as though everyone would make it.

An oblitorator, whom had run around the Zabers along the wall, was nearly to the exit himself in an attempt to cut the group off. Kagi looked over his shoulder at another bunch that was coming up behind them hissing something in their ancient tongue. Obviously it was a good enough of an insult for him to wheel around and charge toward them with an intimidating roar.

Nick turned around at the sound, just as she passed through the door herself, to see the red dragon bolt off in the opposite direction. Mindless of Talon who was in his path. "KAGI!"

The soul survivor cuddler squeaked, hissed, and inevitably inked a silvery ink as he saw the red organoid approach. He latched himself tighter to Talon and tried to tug him in another direction. The spider lifted its front legs and hissed something of a lazy hiss in a lazy attempt to detour the red dragon himself.

Once he saw the others moving in the corner of his eyes, Shun didn't look back as he bolted towards the door. With the obliterators closing in from behind, he couldn't spare the time to double check if everyone was on the right track just yet. Before too long, he cleared the door and it was then that he finally turned around to check on everyone's status. Bent-Tail had just cleared with him, as well as Zutnic and Nick.

However....

The soldier's eyes widened as he saw the red organoid turn around, beelining for Talon it seemed.

"Talon! Watch out!" he warned, hoping he wasn't too late. Scanning the room, he kept an eye out for any rogue obliterators. Gritting his teeth, he raised his pistol and fired off at some of them, aiming for where he thought their eyes were. If these were anything like the strikers, the eyes were likely the only weak point he could attack once again.
