"... What have we talked about about you and respecting your elders."
Sadly, the other was already scurrying out of hearing range the other direction. Which left the figure. And some students.
"Oh right." Said figure straightened up and self-consciously adjusted their glasses that weren't really on their obscured face. "You know, I've always wanted to do this, your faculty member," - here he gave the discarded bag a light kick - "was hardly any trouble at all. I got a great idea, lets play a little game. You try to figure out what is going on, and I'll beat you out of your existence in the meanwhile. Sounds fair?"

The figure waited.
"Ahhh.. I see what the problem is. No incentive. Here I'll give you just a small one."
Collette might have been standing further away, but she didn't even stand a chance as something was flung towards her and she, simply put, dissipated. In a flash of smoke and Fear.

Riley followed the movement of something as it collided into Colette, but she was helpless to stop it. She dropped from the tree, landed on the balls of her feet, and touched the ground with her claws.
If it was a fight he wanted, she could say with strong conviction that he had come to the right group of students.
For the most part.
She pushed herself up off the ground and came at him, claws and tentacles extended and ready to cause damage.
And that they did.

Staying in the tree nice and hidden had it's benefits, but as she continued to watch teachers disappear and then reappear out of the blue she realized hiding may not be a good option very soon. Which was quite true, as something whizzed past and hit one of the students, and they dissipated into thing air.
She hoped to Jack this wouldn't not happen to her.
And then, Riley had jumped out of the tree and did a vicious assult on the figure. It was awe inspiring to watch, and it made Astra want to assist. Off came her hat, and placing her hand inside she took out her prized Reaper oak staff, and with it in hand she flew from her perch and flew as fast as she could so she could try and smash the person over the head.

Lucien had been relatively off in his own world while everyone else socialized and generally questioned what was going on, which wasn't very unusual of the air spirit. He was always so curious about the world around him to the point that he often forgot what he had been doing previously. It was one curiosity at a time for the boil. He had spent a few long moments just staring at the ground, staring at what seemed to be a very questionable rock. They seemed to be having a staring contest with each other and Lucien was winning until something seemed to fling past him. His eyes followed that instead and before he had the chance to see the reaper dissipate, his face twisted. HE HAD LOST THE STARING CONTEST. It was like his world ended.
Whose fault was it? Lucien's eyes darted towards the unknown figure. It was their fault! He charged at the figure and in his rage he actually hit it for three damage.

Nyyrikki had been looking pretty intently at the ground around the tree. From so high, it was hard to think that you wouldn't be able to find something foreign and shiny just hanging out around the forest. That proved to be the case, however, because when something collided with the reaper ghoul, he was still empty handed.
He spun on his heels from his crouched position on the thick tree branch and glared hard at the figure. Immediately he hooked his chain around the branch and swung down, shadow shifting to remove some impact from the fall. Almost as quickly, his chain lashed out at the figure looking for cold hard impact.

Barth had started to say hello to Colette. It was a relief, seeing her here. She was a reliable danger-o-meter, able to gouge when a situation had gone from probably safe to need to get out now. When she disappeared like an old photograph and with an ugly-sounding crackle, Barth could only draw one conclusion.
There was a bad moon rising.
...Was she dead? Permanently, this time? He didn't know. He did know it was too late for him to get away. Best defense is a good offense, right? Especially when you moved at speeds that made a snail look like The Slash.
Also, somewhere past the sluggardly resignation to death and cowardly desire to just get out of this alive, there was a suspicious desire to avenge Colette and really do some damage. Right now, still shaken, he only winged the guy.

Carthusia blinked in utter shock. Colette had simply... disappeared! The others had the right idea - whoever this was needed to be taken out, and quickly, before the rest of the students went poof like so much smoke. Carry picked up a stone and threw it. These figures made her uneasy and by Jack, she wasn't going to let them get away with this. While a stone was the best thing she could come up with at the moment, she would easily move on to bigger and pointier things, like Riley had with her claws. Maybe a well-placed headbutt or something?

Calder was noticing that there was a great difference between there being an ever-present shadow of the faculty, that seemed to pop up whenever the students sneaked around, but something lacking in security when anything else happened. For once, he wondered if it would have been a good thing if Red or Hellma were about seeing as the secretary was being kidnapped. While he could say it wasn't a great loss for the school - Calder rarely saw the man do much - he didn't for Arel to be taken by mysterious strangers kicking bags.
While students rushed in, clearly showing a bit more courage than he did, he stood back, more or less debating if he should run for the hills or not. Running sounded nice, but the idea of helping Arel had a slight benefit. He could help him, and if he succeeded, it might be points in his favor and towards his reputation. The idea of getting his probation cut short for good behavior was a nice idea, but then he reminded himself of past fights where he just failed miserably.
So, instead, he lingered behind the group he was traveling with, chewing his lower lip and wondering if he should hide or.....actually rush in and HOPE he managed to help. Then again, it could have been Battle of the Bands all over again.

"Arachne!" The pink haired Demoness replied in a harsh whisper as she spun around to face the Spiderkin, Jimmy held tightly in her arms; while she was hiding from Arel and Red, she had managed to weave together some of her thread to place around the Reigndeer's neck to form a sort of temporary leash... She even made sure it was not fine enough to accidentally cut her pet.
However, before she could say another word, one of the students was attacked and had instantly vanished. Staring at the empty space where the Reaper student once stood, Lizzy's mouth flew open as she looked at Arachne, eyes wide in a mix of surprise and fear, "D-did you see that?"
Jimmy, sensing its owner's alarm and feeling her grip loosening, fled from Lizzy... And headed in the direction of the two hooded figures, a grin on its skeletal form. Of course, it tugged Lizzy along, the Demoness' hand looped around the temporary leash she had made. With no time to react, she pulled out a strand of silk, one end looped around the fingers on her right hand, and the other end around the fingers on her left. She concentrated on the targets in front of her as she clenched her teeth, getting ready to loop the thread around the enemy's neck.
However, just as she tightened the thread around her fingers and pulled it taut, leaping forward towards the enemy (as Jimmy was headed straight for them), the Reigndeer decided to change directions, causing Lizzy's aim to be off. Of course, while she never thought it would be that easy to hit such powerful enemies, it seemed like Riley's attack had distracted them a little. She released the thread on her left and whipped hard using her right hand; feeling it hit one of the two figures on the arm, Lizzy grinned... A little too happily.
Then Jimmy decided to drag her back to the rest of the students, unaware of what it had just put its owner through.

Draven had been hiding and watching, trying to see what was going on. He'd seen the first flash, and after it had happened, he'd begun to poke around a little. He hadn't wanted to get to close too the woods, but he still wanted to know what was going on.
The second flash had startled him, as did the appearance of the new visitors. There had been a few words, then next thing he knew, a student had disappeared. That was not a good sign. At all. This...this was not even close-different planet even- to what he'd thought would happen when he'd set out for Breck's shed that evening.
As the other students began attacking, Draven's mind raced. This stranger was clearly strong. Though there were several students, perhaps their numbers would be to their advantage? Or, perhaps this stranger, who made one student disappear without hardly trying, would make them all disappear? Oh, well. Standing around wouldn't help him find the answer any faster.
Draven ran towards the stranger, following the lead of other students. He charged, fist ready attempting to land a blow. He felt his fist connect, though how much damage he did, he wasn't sure. Things seemed off to a good start, anyway. Perhaps they really could handle this strange visitor.

Junko's half mumbled words made the demon laugh as they reached the underbrush, but a hastily raised curl of fingers pressed against her lips muffled the sound. She'd known the other ghoul didn't have much of a memory the events of that evening, but she had assumed something so strange as their capture would stick. Apparently not. "I'm not talking about the gnome on the site." She released the hand of her nergal to cup the futakuchi-onna's cheeks, drawing her in so that Yaya could lay a gentle kiss on her forehead. Something was off in her best friend, she was tired, lethargic. "You seem drowsy, what happened?"
She'd have loved the answer to that question, but just then another flash of light, this one a lot brighter, had the marid turning to shield her eyes against Sharra's shoulder. Then there were unfamiliar voices, two of them, and the subject of their conversation pulled at the ghoul's attention, drawing vividly blue eyes to the shadowy forms on the edge on the forest and the bag at their feet. And they were aware of them! Not just aware, but apparently keen to get rid of them.
A gasp tore from the djinn's throat as something struck Colette, and the reaper simply vanished. No, no no no. No more dying. Or Almost dying, or whatever it was that happened to a person when they were engulfed in flame, or blown up, or impaled.. Her grip tightened on Sharra's sleeve as she watched first Riley make an assault, successfully striking the mysterious figure, then others join in the battle.
At this point, Yaya was growing a little wary of battles. A sanctioned battle was one thing, but things kept jumping out from nowhere and attacking her, them!
Features hardening into a pretty little scowl, the ghoul moved forward within the brush. Searching the ground around her for a rock like the one Calder had thrown at Riley. She found one, a sizable little projectile among a small scattering of stones, and turned back to the figure currently fending off attacks from her school mates.
At the first available chance she cocked her arm back, hurling the stone at the hooded figure, and missing him completely. "Jack damnit.." The throw had been rushed, and her aim was off.

'Elizabeth.' Arachne replied, using the ghoul's full name as she always did. She looked quickly around and then back at the demoness, eyeing the pet she had a tight hold on. Her own skitters had scuttled around the front and were now holed up just inside her hood, their legs drawn in so that they looked like strange little balls.
She nodded, her own eyes wide, staring hard at the ground and then back at Elizabeth. Who was tugged along suddenly by her pet, and Arachne scurried along after her, determined that what had just happened wouldn't now happen to one of the few students she was friendly with.
'Elizabeth!' she called out, trying to grab hold of her and then almost fell into the ghoul, looking up at what everyone was now attacking. Arachne looked around - her natural ability, and her Fear were no good here and so she cast about for a weapon, finding a pointy rock and hurling it at the figure..
It hit, probably doing little damage but she skittered backwards after throwing it.

West was still standing mostly out in the open, staring, when the pair of mysterious strangers appeared and zapped Colette off to someplace that wasn't here. Well, that sucked. He kind of hoped she wasn't dead, seeing as how she was one of the few ghouls at this school who understood that a** kickery was not a part-time job.
He watched as several students ran forward, taking swipes at their collective enemy. Time to jump into the fray! Yay!
Encumbered by the beekeeper's gloves that still encased his hands, the rock West threw barely did anything at all to his foes. He growled, pulling one of the things off and chucking it at them too for good measure.

The little Vetala heard voices she didn't recognize, which on it's own wasn't entirely new; but when it was followed by an attack that obliterated one of her schoolmates? Well, then things got a little, ah, bad.
...Well, looks like Belladonna's skirt would have to wait! Looking around, Amrita picked up the nearest thing that WASN'T Christof's shovel, and chucked it at the attacker.
