Ike cringed a bit and removed the stone gently from his mouth.
"It's alright," he said and peered at it. He'd swear that'd been glass moments before.
Are you there? Hello?
Ike's expressionless face slowly grew into a wide-eyed toothy grin. He...he was pretty sure WIlliam was gone!
"Did it work?" Rabid asked wishfully, peering into her son's still blue-rimmed eyes with suspicion, "What'd you do to Will?"
As much as she hated the 18th century Brit, she had been intimately acquainted with him her entire life. She felt oddly, deeply connected, and therefore had to know where the b*****d had gone.

Baxterfullous stared a bit, watching the whol scene... how anticlimatic. " Is it gone?" He asked quite frankly, he had never known William, but already knew he was quite bothersome.

With a small chuckle at Ike's reaction to the stone, he grabbed it and looked at it a bit before replying
"I cut all of his connections to the outside world and then trapped him in here" he handed the stone to Rabid "That thing is nearly unbreakable now. The only thing that could crack it's the soul itself, but since he was only a fragment there's nothing to worry about" he winked and then turned to Ike, rufling his hair slightly
"Only a smal string remained, I'm not powerful enough to remove it all. But it's dormant, without enough soul to sustain it"

Rabid peered down at the stone in her hand. She felt no loathing or burning passion as she had expected. Instead, she felt triumph. She was proud that this once strong, genocidal maniac was trapped within a small stone sphere for, as far as she was concerned, all eternity.
"...thank you..."
Ike, on the other hand, felt a stunning rush of emotion.
"THANK YOU!" he cried out and leaped up to Birvan, embracing the man in a rather tight hug. He released soon, suddenly remembering the damp blood on his clothing and the illusion of personal space.
"Birvan, you got rid of him!" he cried, his smile unwavering. He clapped his hands together, "Thank you so much!" He felt an incredible swelling of happiness and calm that he hadn't felt since a he was toddler. He wanted to tell the story, burst out into excited novelic speech and tell everyone what had been going on inside his head. What he knew.
Instead, he turned to Jabir and grinned.
"Thanks for trying...err...planning to help, Jabir."

Birvan was about to say You're welcome, when Ike suddenly glomped him and made lose his balance. He didn't noticed the new stains of blood on his rather dusty coat, happy for the squirrel Mishap
"You're quite welcome Ike" he beamed and laughted

Jabir had watched Birvan's work with mild interest. It had been a long time since he had a chance to see him perform some magic But right now he wasn't going to let his old friend leave without a chat. He missed his company, despite the wall that had formed between them
Ike's thanking distracted him from those thoughts "I don't deserve them. When it comes to the mental realm I'm as usefull as a snake in a chicken coop"
"And before you say anything, I want to have a talk to you Birvan. You've avoided me long enough"

"I don't...it doesn't..." Ike trailed off, a bit surprised by Jabir's reaction. Hrm. He began to creep backward toward the door.
"Thanks again."

This suddend bitterness didn't passed unnoticed
"That was uncounted for Jabir. You're really a thick headed snake when you want you know?", he then turned back to Ike
"Sorry about him. That topic always gets him grumpy" And you can tell your mother how you got the crystal. But please warn Rex, Deimos and Len not to do the same. I still don't want Jabir to know

Baxterfullous sighed, slipping out of the room. Honestly, who was he to care if he had to dismiss class early because of some possessed little child decided to skip out early. Who cares if he was the one that brought him to the infirmary... Bax honestly didn't. Tail swishing behind him as he walked his way down the hallway. "Bah, what a bunch of fools." He said quietly, as he climbed his way up the stairs and towards the second floor.

Jabir took the scold without replying. Birvan was right, he shouldn't have said that to Ike but feeling unable to help in what could hava had a nasty outcome left him like that
He only noticed Bax's absense when he heard the comment coming from the stairs (his long hears were good for something). He'd have to appoligize to him later

Ike grasped Mummy's hand and began walking down the hallway.
"Where'd you meet Birvan?"
"In the woods. He gave me the crystal."
"Why did you lie to me?"
"He told me I couldn't tell you."
"Alright. I believe you."
Ike suddenly paused, staring through the crack in the door. Why was Jabir fighting with Birvan? Now that he thought back, the white-haired man had warned him to not mention the crystal to Jabir.
He stopped there, waiting to hear some sort of explanation.

Now alone (or at least he though so) he faced Jabir, looking at his old friend in a mix of sadness and annoyance
"I guess you want to know why I'm here, is that it?"

Jabir took some time to reply, pondering on how to expose the situation without making Birvan leave. If that happened there was no telling when he would return In the end he decided to go straight to the point. He had never been a good liar
"Yes, but specially why have you been avoiding me. Don't tell me you are still upset about the agreement?"

Agreement? Ike's interest was piqued. He moved a bit closer to the door, silently, carefully, being sure to not let the men in the room hear him.
Rabid gave her son a knowing glance and held up 10 fingers, giving him the universal signal for ten minutes, before beginning to go up to her room.
If her son wanted to peep, she wasn't going to stop him.

Great. He had to bring THAT up
"Hell of course I'm still upset!!! No matter how noble it was, selling your own blood was not the solution. Look what happened to you!!!"
He took a deep breath. Ths subject was still as painful as before
"Look Jab I don't trust those guys, I never did. They're using you and it's not for something good. Your blindness was only the first sign"
