Zac stared speachless for a moment as he tried to decide if Ever was just base line Masochistic or if it was a proposition of some kind before staring at his Burger like it was about to get up and walk away. "Yes quite done." He said dodging any further thoughts on the mater. Why the hell had he agreed to this again?

Because Ever had said he'd pay? He should have cherished the rare opportunity, even if it was likely on someone else's dime. Ever made a soft noise, eyeing the burger and reaching across the table to steal a couple of fries off of Zac's plate before wiggling fingers at the waitress for their check.
"It's like a twenty minute walk, anyway." Ever'd probably freeze his butt off, but oh well. He dug for his battered, many-time-duct-taped wallet.

"YOU are the one who hurried me." He replied testily to the soft noise. "God...just ask for a to-go box ok? Eating too fast makes me eat less of the food..." He tapped his own foot, or his toe rather in irritation rather than impatience.

He let his toe start tapping, and Ever's own foot shot out to kick him under the table -- not hard, just enough to teas, both of his eyebrows raised. "You ask for a to-go box."
The waitress was there and Ever nabbed the bill to go pay up front before Zac could reply.

"YOU want it YOU ask." He snapped back. "Can he..." he added ignoring his own statement. "Have the other half of this in a to-go box....for his dog?" He added the last part and a kick back under the table.

Ever flashed a grin and a crude gesture at Zac from behind the waitress's back, wincing before he got out of kicking range. He'd pay the bill, and probably go really light on the tip, just because he was cheap. Oh well. Waitresses here didn't expect much, and didn't give a lot either: instead of wrapping the meal up, she dropped a styrofoam container in front of Zac to let him deal with it.

Zac shoved the container AND the burger towards Ever with a huff. "There you go... chow hound." He said and returned the gesture and moving out of range himself ...even if Ever was out of HIS kick range it didn't mean the reverse was true and he'd have to watch that.

Ever dropped two bills on the table as tip -- cheap as hell, yeah -- and blinked at the unwrapped burger before huffing out a sigh and shoving it into the box -- quick about it.
"C'mon, don't just sit there..." He was already moving, two steps back toward the door, and digging for a cigarette.

"a**..." Chided Zac, he was seldom so vocal with his curses with a few exceptions, like the time his leg got mauled and his hand burned to hell of course... something about Ever just brought out the 'best' in him.
