This action raised a few red flags in and of itself, so ignoring the puppy and her tangled hair the young woman reached out to grab his wrist for the second time tonight, but this time the grip was firm with no trace of hesitation. "Where are you going?" His reaction may or may not require further action.

Further action required.
With a sigh Claire jumped up and quickly moved herself in front of him, reaching out to hold his shoulders as if that alone would stop him. "You will not," she said with a sigh. "That would be the longest 'be right back' in history, because you wouldn't come back. You know that." And yet he was determined to go anyway. Claire was both touched by and scared at this fact.

"I'll come back." His tone was one of complete confidence, a personal darkness reflected from within his normally bright eyes. 'Rationality' was not the most prominent word in his mind.

Whether he was confident in this statement or not didn't matter to her in the slightest, and Claire remained where she was, though distinctly uneasy about his attitude. She felt like she would need to stay with him all night to make sure he wouldn't hurt himself, or in this case go somewhere that would inevitably end in a fatality. "No, Lucas, I won't let you." Her tone was firm, and her violet eyes looked into his determined ones. They looked distinctly different than normal, and if she didn't know better she might think Luke had taken over or something, but it was obvious he hadn't. Perhaps he might have to though if Lucas insisted on going to Sinnoh.
"Besides," she added, a smirk twitching at the corners of her lips, "you can't kill him until I get my hands on him first. You think I'm just going to let him off the hook with just a black eye? I don't think so."

He might have challenged her to stop him were he more inclined to tell jokes, but he was not and he did not. "I'll bring him back here, then. Mostly alive."

She sighed and shook her head. Arceus, she was tired, especially after crying. She didn't have the energy to really physically stop him if he decided to walk past her and leave. "No, Lucas, not now. Maybe some other time, but not right now. Not tonight." She didn't know when he'd get a chance to anyway, if ever. Neither of them had any idea where the man was anyway.

"If not now, then when?" A distinct anger began to rise in his tone. "I'm not just going to sit here. I won't let him get away with doing something like that to someone. I won't let him get away with doing something like to you." No, now was when he had the resolve, the indignation, and the desire.

First of all, he wasn't sitting, so that was one truth. In reply to his statements, she took a step closer before wrapping her arms around his shoulders in a hug. "And you have no idea how much I appreciate that, Lucas," she really wished she'd known him in Galactic, but that couldn't be helped, "and how much better I feel now, after.. after talking to you about it. I don't know why I feel better, but I just.. I do." And it wasn't because he was determined to kill her ex, though that did help at least a little bit. "I don't know when," she sighed. There might be a chance eventually, but she wouldn't let Lucas go waltz into such a dangerous situation. She didn't know what else she could do to stop him though, he seemed absolutely dead set on this course of action.

Her assurance that she felt better combined with her tone which implied the same seemed to subdue the murderous streak that had arisen. He froze entirely, as if switching gears, and exhaled a long breath. "Sorry."

She didn't realize how tense with worry this had made her until she could relax finally. A small smile appeared on her face as she hugged him. "No, don't be. Thank you, actually, I'm really glad we could talk. I.. you're a good friend Lucas, thank you." She had no idea trying to get him to talk would make her talk and actually feel better about everything. For now, anyway. Maybe talking about everything else would help too? ...not to Lucas, of course, because he'd want to go on a murderous rampage again and then she might not be able to stop him like she (barely) could this time.

Lucas raised a hand to the back of his neck. "Ah, thank you too... For, I mean... I don't know. But thank you." He wasn't exactly sure how he felt about the whole encounter, in all honesty. It had been ages since such a wide range of emotions had been so thoroughly laid bare, and it was disconcerting, even vaguely dizzying when he considered it all retrospectively. A glance towards the window, the bright half moon high in the otherwise dim sky, provided his cue. "...I should probably head back to my room."

She stepped back and hid another yawn behind her hand, turning her head to look out the window as well. "Ah, yeah, it is late, isn't it.. I should go too," she admitted as she stretched her back. Sitting on the floor for so long hadn't been too comfortable for it, but oh well. Thankfully she'd gotten out all her tears now, in.. the middle of the freaking hallway, but it did make her feel better. If she hadn't, she definitely would have alone in her bedroom, or the closet if Lennyka was in there too.
"I'll see you later, then - night Lucas." That said, Claire turned to head back to the grunt dorms with another yawn. Arceus, she was tired..

He nodded and turned as well, but his departing footsteps would come to a stop. He turned back towards Claire. "Is this progress?"

Claire had started walking as well, but the sudden voice made her halt, confused. The words confused her further. "What?" Why would Lucas... wait. "Luke?" Arceus, she was too tired to think anymore.
