"Ah, welcome young one..." Naomi said quietly. She remembered the girl from last year, Liviana was her name...? She seemed unhealthy and unhappy. Naomi took her eyes off the girl and directed her attention back toward the rest of the class. "Has anyone ever had someone read their palm, or read someone else's palm?"

Liviana nodded gratefully to Professor Naomi, and took a step towards her seat to endure the day's lesson. She had in fact read her own palm last term with the previous professor, but Liviana did not have the energy to say so. She took another step, and realized that she barely had the energy to stand at this point, much less finish the day's lessons out. Embarrassed, she excused herself and made he way back to the Ravenclaw common room. What a good example she was setting; a prefect skipping classes!

Scared thought back hard to her pre-Hogwarts time I've tried reading my palm before, it was a muggle book I was working from though. I'm sure it will work out better this time with some one to actually guide me. Scared thought

'You might belong in Gryffindor, Where dwell the brave at heart, Their daring, nerve, and chivalry Set Gryffindors apart;' . Thinking . . Speaking . . Action .
Ginelle walked into the classroom, smelling all of the strong smells again, which made her a bit light headed. She walked in and smiled at her classmates, and took a seat at a table that was not being occupied. She took out her book and started to read through the divination uses and what she could learn from divination.

Ninna Magdalene Smith | First Year | Hufflepuff •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• "Will Divination be an exciting subject?" Ninna asked herself as she skipped up the stairs to the mysterious classroom. She entered carefully, scrunching her nose at the first scent of various perfumes and incense. She found a seat for herself at a small round table, her hands resting neatly atop it. "I'd very much like to learn to read the tea." She told the freckle that appeared on her right thumb last summer.

Blaine looked at the Hufflepuff that just entered oddly. She seemed to be talking to her thumb, which, of course, wasn't odd at all. Blaine studied the chipped black nail polish on her nails and waited for the teacher to continue. She took finished inspecting her nails and started drumming her fingers on the table, tapping her foot in time to the beat her fingers played. One of the Slytherin students looked at her irritably when she started to hum.

Amelia Frances
Amelia climbed the ladder, and had quite amount of difficulty pushing up the trapdoor to enter. A couple of times she got it up, but dropped it back down with a thump. Finally, she managed to use her entire body to push, letting it swing upwards. It was definitely not a class she was going to be late to ever again. She'd rather miss it.
Gently lowering the door, she blushed under the attention she made and started forward. Upon which, she nearly fell, tripping over the crystal ball. Frowning at her apparent bad luck of the day, she carefully picked up the heavy thing. Walking over to the teacher she questioned, "Where might I put this ma'am?" She tried to keep her voice even, but her arms were weak and tiny to be holding the large ball.

Ginelle, not knowing that the professor wouldn't be around, decided to just take a seat and read through her text book. She hoped that the professor would be around soon, because she wasn't learning anything in this class, and it sounded really interesting to her. Maybe the professor was just busy, but she really couldn't tell. Hopefully, something would change in this class soon. She did miss it.. It was the first class she ever stepped foot into...

"Class," said Naomi in a surprisingly loud voice considering how small she was, "Today we begin Palmistry. I would like for everyone to partner up please..." She glanced about the class, counting the students to see if there would be an even number of pairs.

Blaine looked around as she watched the other students get in pairs. She felt her face get red again as everyone paired up. Just go up and ask someone, moron. You're too shy, she thought to herself. Finally plucking up her courage, she walked over to the new Gryffindor, Caiden, and asked him, "Hey, uh, Caiden. I was wondering if you wanted to be my partner for palmistry. I don't have one and I noticed you didn't either so I thought I'd ask." She had asked him because she knew he was new and a Gryffindor, so it was less likely she'd be laughed at.

Amelia Frances Joan
((You're back! Welcome back!))
Amelia, the closest to the teacher, jumped at her sudden volume, nearly dropping the heavy crystal ball. Setting it down in front of her, Amelia turned around, scanning the room for a partner. She attempted to look generally nice, to attract one. With her genuine character it was an easy thing for her to do. Still, she looked for familiar faces. Ginny! A grin broke on her face, and she headed towards her.

It seemed that at the same time, she and Amelia looked at eachother. She let the huge grin spread across her face, and picked up her things to go join her at her table. She set her things down, picked her book out of her bag, and began to look up things on Palmistry. This should be interesting. "Ready, Amelia?" She hoped she could learn something from this class. She had heard rumors that the class was a bit... strange, with no real information to lead her anywhere. But, mayhe she would be wrong?
