The feature to access the money hasn't been release, nor have the admin hinted much to wear it goes to, except that there might be guild only items. Beats throwing gold away.

The Spelling Nazis was a thread guild before the guild feature was released. A lot of TSN regs donated gold to make it an official guild. You can see who donated what in the announcements sticky.
Don't look at me, though. I joined after it became an official guild. I was referred by Satah. xD

It doesn't look like it's alphabetized.
Nor does it go by the number of posts by each member,
nor the amount of gold they've donated,
nor their join date...

It's obviously a conspiracy to confuse our minds so much that the sub-mods can activate their cyber doom bots to take over the site and hijack the whole of Gaia in order to sabotage it for themselves to use it for their own dastardly, conniving devices.
And then the n00bs will take over and the cool people will be driven out, but we won't notice because it won't be all that different.
And then the earth will explode and it'll be, like, a serious bummer.
