Since her Charizard was already out, the blonde looked to her dragon who also wasn't always willing to obey. Still, Nikki climbed onto the back of the Charizard, before pointing down and across the crater to where the ledge with the nest was.
"Let's go Yuushi!"
Darkfeather would have been a more preferred mount, but Yuushi would be able to handle this heat far better than her dark colored Pidgeot.
The dark dragon growled irritably, but still spread her wings. Then with a few flaps, she rose into the air and then started to make her decent towards the nest.

Well, at least it looked like he wasn't going to be yelled at for correcting someone. But as Nikki spoke, he was quite certain that once again a good portion of the color had drained from his face. He was supposed to climb down there? He was decently athletic, but he didn't like the idea of slipping and falling straight down into that lava.
After a moment, his jaw clenched and he slid the pack from his shoulder. It wasn't like he had much of a choice. It was with some reluctance that he removed the equipment he'd need to climb down to the ledge before once again shouldering the pack. A rope was secured to a sturdy looking rock, and he reluctantly began the descent.
If the heat was barely tolerable up here, he didn't fancy thinking about how bad it be where the egg was situated.

Leonard just stared at Damon before nodding at what Nikki said. Now there's something he could be useful in. He unclipped another Pokeball from his belt and released his Drifblim. Ignoring the look of disbelief that was on the Pokemon's face, he placed himself in his ribbon-like arms and took off towards the nest.
To his surprise Weatherby ascended faster than usual. It must have been because of all the hot air, giving the Balloon Pokemon the much needed lift. And what also surprised Leonard was that Seance followed him, for whatever reason.

(( OOC: By the way, for people who are confused, the nest is actually on the other side of the crater but lower instead of higher than the ledge they were just on. ))
As People started to cross the crater, it caught the attention of some native Pokemon. There were some Magmar hanging out on ledges far below, but they looked strong and uncatchable unless through a long battle. Which they didn't have time for.
However, a couple Charizard took notice as well, particularly to the pair of females that were passing. With bellowing roars, the two ascended quickly and parted their maws to shoot flames at the intruders.

Eloise felt the spout of heat blaring towards her from the enemy Charizard and did a late barrel roll to avoid the attack. Her left winged became remarkably singed due to the attack, but it wasn't much to shrug off since she too was a fire type. Len was caught off guard by the sudden movement and shifted from the Charizard's back to becoming a homey little charm hanging on for dear life around Eloise's neck. She dangled helpless as her fingers interlocked like chains on a shackle.
"Uwah!" Len cried as she kicked helpless feet. "E-Eloise, let me up, let me up!"
The Charizard didn't obey, simply continued to fly until she felt her trainer's hands slip. Her first bit of action was trying to fight off the territorial little fighter in the back of her, who would most likely take her down if she wasn't steady.

She took note of the Charizard as they roared and took to the air. This would not be good; Pitre could dodge easily enough but not without throwing his passenger from her perch. With a quiet growl, she took Revenant's pokeball into her hand once more. "Bear with me," she warned, releasing the startled Mismagius directly into the flames' path to act as a living shield. The ghost withstood the blow, shooting a furiously indignant glare at her trainer when she had recovered her bearings.
"No time," Aila called. "Payback."
Payback? That sounded good, especially against a certain short, dark-haired human. But Revenant bore with it just as that same human had requested, attacking the offending Charizard.

Faleen noticed her biggest problem when she was forced to grip the rope more tightly, pain from her hands shot up her arms. Her hands had already been cut up quite a bit from the tremors, cave in, fire types and the surf from her Sharpedo. The sensation caught her by surprise, and interfered with the control of her decent. With a sharp gasp, Faleen suddenly dropped a significant distance along her rope. Gathering enough incentive to ignore the pain, for now, she managed to catch herself in time, slowing enough so that when she hit one of the smaller empty ledges below, the impact only knocked her feel from under her, falling onto her pack, rather then causing more injury. "Ugh, not how that was supposed to go." she grunted to herself, clinging to the wall as she pushed herself back to her feet. Frowning, and bunching forward for a moment when the intensity of the heat from the lava at the bottom hit her, taking a moment to gather herself, she straighten herself up with a frown, right she wasn't going to be caught off guard again. as she took the rope back in her hands, she looked up at the other Rocket that had to do this the hard way, it was then that she saw two wild Charizard swooping in to attack the rocket pokemon. reaching to her pokeballs once again, she quickly released her Shuppet "double team" she told it, nodding to his target.
Shuppet looked around, seeing the two Charizards. "Shup!" darting up to them in his light form, he suddenly dashed around, creating the illusion of many different Shuppet to surround and distract the Charizard. All of the forms swayed back and forth, snickering at the fire types.

Under normal circumstances, Nyx would not have jumped at the bit for a battle over a volcano, especially not but just a few months passed, but things were different at the moment. They had a few Rockets dangling from ropes, or on the backs of pokemon who were not terribly maneuverable, and they needed to dispose of the two flying lizard pokemon before the 'mother' Ho-Oh returned to the nest.
"... Langley," Nyx pressed her right foot into the side of the pidgeot to direct him to turn left, "Fly! The one attacking that bright charizard, there!" She meant the dragon attacking Lennynka, but Langley didn't know who that was, but he could figure out which one she was talking about. The pidgeot gave a few great flaps, propelling himself upwards, aided by the rising hot air currents. Nyx clung tightly to the back of her pidgeot, pressing herself to its back like they'd practiced during their many flight and fight exercises, as the bird reached the crest of its ascent and folded its wings in and started to dive at the offending Charizard.

One of the Charizards was indeed going for Eloise, who avoided its flamethrower. This drew a snarl from the dragon as it continued its pursuit, with a human hanging from the bright one's neck. It made a rush at Eloise, then attempting a wing attack at the female.
The second Charizard went after Nikki, Yuushi glancing at the foe and shooting her own flamethrower back at the other while dodging. Nikki though, was far more experienced at flying, had managed to hang on without losing her grip or balance, even as Yuushi became upright to fend off the male and act as a shield for her more vulnerable trainer.
Roars and bursts of flame were exchanged, until the multiple Shuppets caught that Charizard's attention. He then flew at them, spouting off another Flamethrower.
Edit: The Charizard that was attacking Lenn was soon knocked away as a Pidgeot made impact. Another roar, and the Charizard frantically swiped at Langley in a Slash.

"Shuppet shup shup!" the little ghosts snickered again, the mass of them swirled and scarred around the Charizard as the flamethrower enveloped a couple of the illusions. A Shadow Ball attack shot toward the Charizard's back from one of the Shuppet that now swirled and circled the dragon.

Damon could hear the battle with the Charizard above his head as he slid the rest of the way down to the ledge the nest was perched on. He would have been all too willing to aid in the fight with the angered Pokemon, but there was a problem that prevented him from doing so. He didn't own a single Pokemon with the capability to fly, nor did any of the Pokemon he owned know any ranged attacks. So unless one of the Charizard decided to land right in front of him, he had no way of attacking them.
It looked like he was the first one to reach it, so he delicately moved towards the egg. Even from here he could tell it was a fairly large egg - about the size of his own torso, if not larger. It would take some creativity to move, and likely the use of one or two of the flying Pokemon. It was this thought in mind that he began digging through his supply pack, absently pulling out a net likely intended for capturing Pokemon, and another length of rope. He'd need help to get everything situated, but it didn't look like it was impossible to move the egg...

The blow of the Charizard's wing caused Eloise to teeter greatly. She dropped after the deft punt, feeling pain towards her side. Inexperienced, it took her long to endure the pain as she retorted with an Air Slash of her own. Len wrapped herself fully to the charging Charizard as she increased her velocity, making for a piercing cut of the sky towards the enemy. Surprised by the Pidgeot that made itself known by attacking her follower, Eloise panicked that her attack would not hit its definite target.
"W-Watch out!" cried Len in warning to Nyx and Langley. "Get out of the way!"

Langley squawked in surprise when the giant lizard retaliated with sharp claws, nicking the Pidgeot and causing three thin red lines to form under the ruffles of his chest plumage. The bird hissed and screamed in return, his crest raised and his feathers puffed out. "Thief!" Nyx held on as Langley rose slightly, made a quick turn, and dove talons first at the Charizard, grasping and clawing at the enemy pokemon in a fury.
edit: Neither trainer nor pokemon noticed or heard Lenn shouting for them to move as the Charizard's air slash knocked into the side of the bird pokemon.

The one Charizard that was preoccupied with Shuppets, was hit with the Shadow Ball attack and was knocked back a bit. The Pokemon was confused, but fired yet another Flamethrower, trying to hit -something-. One of them had to be real!
However, the other Charizard wasn't faring well. The fire mon bellowing in pain at the beating. However, its maw too parted for yet another flamethrower at point blank range.
With the Charizards now not focusing on her, Yuushi continued to fly toward the ledge. Soon allowing Nikki to jump down upon it while her Charizard landed. The blonde quickly ran over to the egg, where Damon already was. She too reaching into her pack to pull out supplies.
