Pleasant, warm, homely and wholesome smells wafted from the courtyard of Ria High School. Sniffing the air curiously, the hypnotic scent of mixed spices, freshly baked bread, sweet sugars and savoury meats drew Kross towards their collective source and like a moth to the flame, oblivious, he followed his nose towards the myriad of assorted desserts and dishes spread out across many long, oak tables.
Students in their chef uniforms rushed from place to place, creating and cooking their entries, friends talking and laughing, the judges moving from entry to entry to taste the magnificent food.
He noticed non of this though as his stomach growled; the long, arduous journey here was not without its many dangers and, because of the length of the voyage that had led him here, the usual running out of food and water for a good few days.
He stood there, eyes slightly wider than what would be considered normal, his breath coming in short, shallow gasps, saliva collecting inside his mouth in a pool.
Unable to withstand his hunger any longer, not noticing the cooking competition banners and flags posted all over the area, nor the strange looks of the few students who had turned to look at him.
"It's not gluttony since I need food..." he thought to himself, "Looks... so good... smells... so good..." and he sprang, like a lion on its prey; the results being rather like the simile... grabbing and devouring in an insane feeding frenzy and drinking huge gulps of the many various refreshments made available.
...His hunger satiated, his senses returned, his eyes look around at the many faces staring at him... most of them nonplussed.
"Ah... I... Well..." Stuttering for words, his expression changed to one of hopeful appeasement (^^") as the masses moved towards him.....

Makie watched the violet haired man who was talking to Sakura. He was a judge... Right? She heard of a pink haired girl that was going to judge the food as well. She guessed that was the girl the brunette heard from earlier. The one that liked Joy's neko ears. Makie laughed silently, she reminded her of Oliver. He like fuzzy cute things too, and he was hyper too! She wondered where he was...
"I-I made a-a c-cake... A-A ch-chocolate c-caramel i-ice c-cream cake..." Makie said slightly, looking down at her large black boots. Her toes facing inward into each other, as well as her knees trembling together. She wasn't really cold, she just couldn't talk to boys. Literally.
Makie soon turned her attention to Nohea, who had said she brought a cake as well. Eep! More competion? Ahhh... The brunette couldn't stand having competion. She hated seeing people feel sad that they didn't do as well as they wanted to. Makie also hated seeing some really mean people insulting others. It made Makie upset when others felt bad. She always would think it was her fault for some reason. Makie snapped quickly out of her trance the moment she heard the name 'Oliver'.
"Th-The Greenhouse? Ohhh..." She echoed, looking down at the Greenhouse. It looked like a nice place. As long as it didn't have bees or hornets or anything that can sting you, Makie would be fine. "H-Hot chocolate? S-Sounds y-yummy!" Makie loved hot chocolate, especially when you're eating it by a nice warm fire and a warm, safe blanket wrapped around your body.
"I-I don't r-really m-mind where w-we set u-up the stands..." She glanced slowly back at the table where she laid her cake. Her chocolate eyes widened slightly, as she noticed that there was no cake there, just an empty box. And she also just realised that Misty just left her. The brunette bit her lower lip, maybe Misty took it... But then where did she put it? Oh noo! Maybe Misty ate her cake!! Her face dimmed slightly, before smiling at the other girls. Her mind still racing over the possibilities of where Misty and her cake had gone to. She completely skipped over the idea that Misty might have taken it into the Greenhouse.

"Chocolate Caramel Cake?" Violet blinked as he noticed the box behind her. "ahh.. a desert... for a potluck... very.. interesting.." Violet became a bit uneasy on if he was going to be able to digest such a treat easily. he wasn't too good with sweets.
"uhhh.,," Violet rubbed the back of his head. "I'll... come judge yours later???" Violet said uneasily. much.. later... He then waved and gave her a thumbs up. "best of luck to you Makie!" It probably wasn't suprising that Violet knew Makie's name. He was after all one who helped Renim build up a student profile. It then came to his relization that Ai was standing with Makie actually along with another gurl. They all 3 talked about chocolaty and sweet delights. This made Violet develop Swirly eyes.
DID ALL THE GURLS MAKE SWEETS!??!!? Violet held his head in disbelievemnt. I Cant Eat that much sweets!!! Violet groaned. please set up inside the greenhouse! Eiyah will take care of those! He then quickly walked away from the gurls hoping to not judge their entrys till later. Something then caught his nose.
and then a sound too.
"pro... fessor???" Violet groaned at the sound of that title. he then turned and saw Cadmus along with a huge chunck of meat leftover next to him. Violet was nearly shocked. "the devil did you kill..." Violet muttered.
"Please call me Mr. Violet Cadmus." Violet said polietly. "Proffesor is alll oldddd.. sounding.. bleh.." Violet stuck out his tounge in disguist.
"Nehoo.. What is that you got there." Violet said walking up to his stand looking curiously at what he was making. But before he could get a taste of the food a sudden boy rushed by and took a nice bit of Cadmus's entry and the raw meat itself straight into his mouth devouring.

"who the... who's that kid?" Kurai said looking at the now content full stomach person. "... he must be hungry.."

"*sigh* where is that Kiyowa..."
Tiffany was starting to grow impatient of Kiyowa's arrival. She was afraid that they may not make the entry in time. Tapping her feet abruptly, Tiff started to look at the delicious looking food on the table.
Gah, where is she...
At last Tiff had lost all hope of being patient with her. With a vein popping out of her forehead, Tiff started to yell out loud.
"AAAHHH, where is that big breasted bozo!!!"
"Big breasted bozo, heh?"
Tiff sqeaked out loud when she heard that familiar voice come up behind her. She slowly turned her head to see who it was. She gulped a few times fearing of who it might be.
At last she was finally staring at the dark violet haired girl. The girl just rose her eyebrow at Tiff and made a puzzling expression at her.
"So you think im a big breasted bozo?"
Tiff finally regained her composure and fully faced Kiyowa.
"Uhh, well you do have big breast...duh!"
"*sigh* just forget it...anyways I brought the food..."
Shifting over at Kiyowa's right hand, she could see the platter that she was holding. With great excitement she leaped over to Kiyowa and grabbed the dish away from her. Her eyes sparkled as she sniffed her creation.
Her eyes soon became suspicious, and she rolled her eyes back at Kiyowa.
"What took you so long....you didnt poisen it, did you?"
Kiyowa took a big sigh and started to look at her fingernails as if she didnt really care to explain.
"No matter how much I wanted to do it....no I did not poisen the food, and the reason why I took so long was because I couldnt find the food."
Tiffany gave her look of disbelief, but she soon accepted her story.
"Come on, lets place our dish with the rest of the food."
Unlike some of the dishes that were entered, Tiff made more of an appatizer dish. The dish that she made was a Flipino dish caled Lumpia. Lumpia is very simliar to eggrolls, but instead of all vegetables, some meat is also put into it. The outside layer of her dish was golden brown, and crunchy. The inside layer was full of flavor and juicy.
Tiffany proudly placed her dish onto the table and she started to squeel with happiness. kiyowa sluggishly walked to where Tiff was and started to stare aimlessly at the food. Kiyowa then spotted one dish that looked appatizing to her. She licked her lips and started to extend her hand, reaching for the dish. However before she could get a hold of it, Tiff smacked her hand. Quickly retracting her hand, Kiyowa held her hand and looked at Tiff angrily.
"Hey what was tha for!"
"You know very well what that was for! These people have worked hard preparing these wonderful dishes and I will not let you destroy them!"
"Geez! Relax 'mother' I wasnt going to destroy them...I was just going to eat them..."
"Well you cant because you are not a judge, now lets go somewhere where you cant get the food."
Tiffany then reached for Kiyowa's ear and grabbed it. She started to pull her away from the table and go to a more secure place. Kiyowa felt like a little kid being pulled on the ear like this. Not only would it humiliate her...it also hurt...
((so many people bringing desserts, had to bring something different))

"Ahem..." rather sheepishly, he cleared his throat. "I... apologise, profusely, for my behaviour just now," he braved, "it was uncalled for however, I have just recently arrived on the shores of this land and have been without food or water for nearly a week."
Bemused, bewildered, and angry people were staring pointedly at him.
Recovering, he wiped at the food around his mouth and standing up straight, made a brisk, obviously practiced and complex sign in the air. "Tyrael watch and guard over you. I am known as Kross Vivice Furor, an emissary and warrior of Tyrael, also known as a guardian," his aasimar blood kicking in, his body seemed to glow with a heavenly aura as he spoke, his charisma seeping through, "I am here because there has been a lot of demonic energies around this area during the past few months and has been on the increase. My order's elders have sent me, along with a few other guardians, to this area and this school has fallen into my jurisdiction. There is no need for any sort of restlessness or panic, however, and you should all just carry on with your lives as if nothing is happening."

Abbi's dark eyes widened saucer wide as a youg man came barreling down the courtyard, blindly snatching up any foodstuffs in his path. Her mouth dropped unbecomingly open as her tray was bumped from the table in the process. She dove forward, catching the dish before it crashed to the ground. With a sigh of relief she sat back on her heels, a wayward wisp of hair blowing upward in the current. Then she winced. Her raw, skinned knees stung, thanks toe her "heroic" efforts. She cast an angry glance in Kross' direction, but it appeared he was more than occupied. With a grumble she struggled to her feet, returning the covered dish of croissants.

Cadmus looked at Kross with interest, "It was a gryphon and if it is not prepared properly it could be very bad for a human." he smiled a wicked smile, "In fact, there are few creatures that could stomach it without throwing up, I am suprised he was even able to eat it." his smile faded so that the tone of his face returned to it's unreadable expression.
"I hope you know how to hunt, and hunt fast." he said as he grabbed a butcher knife," You have 20 minutes to hunt down another gryphon and have it ready for cooking or else I will cook you" he ordered Kross as he salavage the "non-tainted" meat from the gryphon.

((I had typed out a better post, but the window closed for some reason AND I LOST IT!!!!!! stressed stressed ))
Kyoshi just stared at Absinthe's hand, then he looked into her violet eyes,
"My name's Kyoshi Shogai..." He said blankly, still sort of irritated from being startled while eating.
Just then, the girl dove to catch her dish, which had been knocked off the table it was on. Kyoshi found this sort of funny. Who would dive just to save food? Of course, he wasn't thinking of all the time she might have put into making the dish, and also that the dish might be fore the contest that was being held in the potluck. But Kyoshi felt sort of bad for thinking it was funny after seeing that Absinthe had hurt her knees.
"Are you alright?" Kyoshi asked, his expression still sort of blank

Ikaika followed Taqune into the potluck area. He looked around for Nohea, but he just couldn't see her.
Then Taqune asked him what the plan was,
"H-huh? Oh, yeah, I can't seem to spot Nohea right at the moment...so why don't we eat first?" Ikaika said, still glanceing around a bit.
Ikaika set the bowl of salad down on a table.
Then he grabbed a plate and some chopsticks from somewhere and began pileing things on his plate,
"Besides, I'm starving!!"

Nohea looked around for a good place to set up their stands,
"Well, I can't seem to find a good place to set up, so why don't we set up here?"
They might aswell, Nohea didn't think they would want to set up somewhere else and then carry their food all the way over there (wherever 'there' might be). Besides, what if they dropped their food? That would be terrible!! Nohea didn't want that to happen.
"Also, more people would come to Sakura's Hot Chocolate stand outside rather than inside the warm greenhouse, right?"
Nohea said, smiling warmly
Then Nohea spotted Taqune. She was about to tell Sakura that he was there, but someone else caught her eye. She saw a handsome young man who looked like he came with Taqune. He had white silvery hair and bright blue eyes. Nohea couldn't take her eyes off him. But what really drew her in was that she felt like she knew him. But Nohea had never seen him before in her life.
Nohea just stood there, silent, just staring at him.

Taqune chuckled,"Well go ahead and eat I'll keep a look out for Nohea, i'm not that hungry right now." Taqune looked around the potluck seeign if he could spot her since she stood out from what Ikaika said. "Hey Ikaika I think I found her!" Taqune was looking directly at Nohea and waved her over toward him in a hurried manner.

Abbi took her eyes off her reddened kneecaps, a slight grimace still on her face. She looked at Kyoshi as he spoke and a slight blush crept into her face. In the sudden bit of excitement she had forgotten he was standing there. She would have rather let the dish shatter into a million pieces before diving like an idiot in front of a stranger. And in a skirt no less. Her blush deepend, and her fists clenched at her sides. This was not the impression she had wanted to make on her first day in a new school.
Abbi gave a short, stiff nod. "I'm fine, thanks for asking," she muttered. "I'm sorry...I didn't mean to interupt your meal. You don't look like the skittish sort. I guess looks can be deceiving, huh?" She covered her embarassment with rudeness. It was a very bad habit of hers, but it was also a bit of a defence mechanism.

(OOC: ah geez crappy post X_X sorry >_> I got very little sleep and I just had an oral presentation and got low marks in my assessments so I'm kinda down X_X)
"Cook me?" asked a bewildered Kross, "But if you want to cook me then you must mean to eat me too and you intend to feed others manflesh? If indeed this is true then that would amount to cannibalism! An affront to God!"
The "Holier than thou" attitude was creeping into his voice now, a whole life devoted to God, the shaping factor.
Now, Kross is usually a reserved person however, when something is even in the slightest amount against his teachings....
"Take back thy words, curr, lest I smite thee down where you stand."
A threatening, barely audible whisper. His teachings coupled with his celestial blood bringing out the piety in him, causing him to become much more aggressive and if pushed, would put him into a state similar to those of berserker blood. However...
Kross retched, his stomach unable to fully withstand the gryphon meat he had consumed, his high metabolism not helping much either. This, however, caused him to regain his composure, albeit quite confused and dazed as the gryphon started to really go through his system.
Looking extremely dazed and not quite walking in a straight line, Kross staggered off towards the general direction of the temple, the masses parting down the middle Moses fashion to avoid the staggering man.
Oblivious to what was really happening around him, his only thought was to get to a temple.

Violet looked straight forward at Kross with a completely "wtf" face written all over him. "... Demonic energies around our school? Is this guy an idiot!?" Violet mummbled to himself and reached for his walkie talkie. he then rose it up to his mouth and pressed a button. The walkie talkie let out some feedback and then he spoke into it.
"Hey Mattus."
*ktttt*
"Hey gay dude! hows it going with the crazy gurl!?" Spoke the familiar upbeat voice of the headmaster Mattus.
".... for the last time Mattus-sama please stop calling me that, and Eiyah is now over at the greenhouse judging the food there i hope.. Anyways, we got a warrior from... Ty-re-al or whatever." Violet said stressing each part of the word to Mattus. Saying he wants to clean up the school from 'demonic' energies..."
"Demonic ENERGIES!?" Mattus then let out a long hearty laughter. "This should be fun! OH! the super bowl commercials are starting! Ill talk to you later Violet! You know my cell phone!"
"BUT THIS IS A WALKIE TALKIE!!" Violet yelled out. but there was no more response. "IDIOT!" he then snapped the walkie talkie back into his belt and looked straight at the boy named Kross. ".... why does everything wierd happen to ME." Violet groaned and then just walked away from the Gryphon situation as if he was not part of it anymore.

Abbi cringed as Kross proceeded to upchuck in the grass. All blood seemed to drain away from her face. She quickly turned her back to him, and covered her ears.
Absinthe was an easily neausated person,you see. If she heard much more she was guaranteed to follow suit. She began to hum random notes to herself in an effort to drown out any background noise.
Slowly, her dark purple eyes drifted of to Kyoshi. It was just then that it occurred to her how foolish she must look. Well, not as foolish as she would have looked if she had puked all over their shoes. Abbi was just going to have to go with the lesser of the two evils.
After a few moment Absinthe took a tentative look around. It would seem the Kross had stumbled off. She lowered her hands to her side, exhaling loudly in relief. That had been a close one.

"Teehee" Ai chuckled lightly at Makie when Makie glanced at the Greenhouse, you could read all over her face that she liked Oliver. Maybe Ai should convince Oliver too get her something on White day. She grinned, a friendly grin at Makie, maybe Makie should go inside the Greenhouse? AI wouldn't mind if she went in there and left Nohea and her.
"Yeah.. but its not like any Hot Chocolate. European Hot Chocolate have a certain spice in it, so its more less sweet, plus it tastes better than the sweet kind. " she explained to Makie and Nohea, since they probably didn't know the difference between the normal Hot Chocolate with the European kind. There is a huge difference.
"I think setting outside would be great! Since people out here would get cold.. they need something to warm them up!" she said rather cheerful with a large smile. She started to set up her stand. and placing tea cups on the table. Her hot chocolate in a large fermus.
"... I believe Makie.. That Misty took your cake. I would go in the Greenhouse if i was you" she said with a wink towards Makie as Ai stirred her Hot Chocolate around, the spicey scent mixing with some sweetness could be smelt.
"Nohea you can set up yours right here.. Nohea.. Nohea? Nohea!" she said waving ehr hand across Nohea's face, she looked like she saw the devil and died. Or was she spacing out? Ai shrugged and continued her business.

Kyoshi glared at Absinthe after she made the 'skittish' comment,
"I put my guard down while eating. Besides, I have no enemies that I know of here, so I wouldn't have much of a reason to be alert." Kyoshi said, explaining himself to Absinthe in a cold tone.
Then Absinthe turned away from a person who had apparently eaten somthing that wasn't sitting right in his stomach. Kyoshi was quite used to being sick, the evil woman would make him sick all the time. So all Kyoshi did was ignore it.
Kyoshi found it funny that she had a weak stomach. He smirked a bit, maybe this was bachi for what she had said earlier about him? He didn't really care.
Just then Kyoshi's eyes widened. He had heard the name "Ikaika" from somewhere.
His head whipped around, looking left and right for the voice who said it.

Ikaika looked up quickly from eating, a noodle hanging ot of his mouth.
"Fwat?! Nohea?! Wherw?!" Ikaika said looking around frantically
Then he looked towards where Taqune was waving.
It was her!! Nohea! He'd found her...and she was looking right at him. All this time while he was eating?! He blushed a scarlet red and slurped up the noodle.

Nohea shook her head as Ai was waving her hand infront of her face,
"Eh?!?! Ah, oh, yes!! I'm so sorry!! But, Sakura!!" Nohea said turning to her and grabbing her arm gently,
"Look there!! Taqune, and he brought someone...!" Nohea said, bringing Sakura closer so she could see in Nohea's view,
"Look, look!!" Nohea said excitedly, pointing to where Taqune was.
Taqune was waving to them, Nohea waved back smileing. But she wondered.....that boy......
