Suppai looked back to the now non-existant building and bit her lower lip for a moment before replying. ''I honestly didn't mean to do that... I wanted to make it my nest, it had a large enough generator that wouldn't alert anyone else to my where-abouts...'' She looked back to Songbird. ''It would of been quite usefull. Guess I'll have to find another one.''

Suppai looked towards the sirens as her ears went up with excitment. 'Play time.' She thought before looking back to Songbird.

She smirked before spreading her leathery wings. ''I like you so,... I'm NOT going to get you caught in a crossfire.'' Suppai took off, purpously flying over the officials' cars, popping a tire or two on her way by as she laughed maniacly.

She was going where she knew she could find some fun.

(Exit Suppai to New York City.)

Starfire and Songbird examined burnt shell of the labs, stunned by the thorough destruction. The Tamarian swore under her breath, "X'hal."

Melissa had a slightly confused look on her face as she truned to Starfire, "Ummmmm.... Gesundheit?"

Alien green eyes glanced at Songbird, "Eh?"

Songbird shook her head, "Nevermind. Do you think anybody survived.... this."

Melissa's eyes fell on a burnt humanoid shadow on the wall.

"I am beginning to doubt it, Songbird," Kori answered.

After checking several lab rooms, the pair of heroines find a woman encased in slightly glowing crystaline structure.

Songbird cued up her comm, "Lieutenant, we may have just found either a survivor or a very unique way for somebody to go."

Starfire and Songbird carefully carried the female scientist encased in crystal, just as federal agents walked up. Agent Quinn gawked at the scene, "What exactly are you doing?"

Melissa poked her head around the side, "As I told the lieutenant, this is either unique rescue, or a really bad way to go."

Quinn narrowed his gaze, "You two are tresspassing...."

"We were looking for survivors at the behest of Central City Police. Lt. Garfield officially deputized me, when the Russian came a knocking. Starfire here just arrived to lend assistance."

"Miss, while that covers you," Quinn began again, he turned toward Starfire, "It doesn't cover you. Littman, I want this woman held for questioning."

George Quinn exited the unmarked trailer and approached an agent in a HAZMAT suit. Special Agent Quinn inquired, "Has everything been taken care of."

The man responded, "Yes Sir. It's safe and secured."

"Excellent, pack up. We're out of here," Quinn left the HAZMAT leader and then approached Central City police and Songbird, "We're pulling out. Everything has been secured. The area is now safe. We're going to seal the building, until StarLab personel can come in a restore the facility. The scientist you found will be tended to. We'll get the best help for her."

Songbird stood with her arms crossed in front of her, "What about the heroine you've put in custody, Starfire."

Quinn turned to face Melissa, "That is being handled with the utmost care. She needs to be debriefed. That still leaves..."

Songbird interrupted, "One of your men already questioned me, Agent Quinn."

"Special Agent Quinn," the government operative corrected, "Then I guess that wraps everything up here. We'll be getting out of your hair, but we'll need to have Central City post some units to watch this facility to prevent looting.... Just to be safe."

Mel's gaze narrowed, "Starfire hasn't done anything wrong."

Quinn held up a hand, "Actually, it's not my call. My superiors want to have a word with her. If it were simply up to me, I would have already released her. Now we really have to be going. As soon as we're gone, jurisdiction falls back to you."

With that, Quinn tucked his hands into the pockets of his trenchcoat, spun on his heels, and walked away.
